I was inclined to try this drink spot due to many highly acclaimed recommendations by my friends! I can say that I enjoyed the Mango Pomelo Coconut drink which is their #1 specialty drink. I ordered it as 50% sweetness and enjoyed it at that level. It tasted like a mango dessert! There are pomelo bits in the drink as well but it isn't sour at all. The service is good, despite the business the drinks come out at reasonable times. There's in person ordering as well as self serve kiosk. There's a line of chairs that go across the wall and about maybe 5-6 tables. This place gets loud and busy at some times due to large groups but it makes for a social setting and great atmosphere! My favorite go-tos are the ube cheese foam slush (I've only tried it at 50% sweetness and it's so good, saying as someone who enjoys sweetness but doesn't want to be overwhelmed by it) and crumble coconut slush. Ordered through the kiosk on a weekday afternoon. I was surprised at how busy they were, but it was mainly because of a large group of maybe a club or meetup? My order took some time and the worker apologized, which wasn't necessary but was a nice gesture that I appreciated! Tried the cheese barley milk tea and I loved it! Was a but confusing at first since the cheese foam was at the top and the barley boba was at the bottom, but the drink didn't have a sipping lid so I opted for a straw. We like ourselves some boba and yummy drinks, and that is what we found at Jam Jam. We got the mango pomelo and Thai tea with boba. We got both at 50% and less ice because we usually prefer things less sweet and it was the perfect sweetness. The Thai milk tea had the perfect amount of flavor and wasn't watered down. The ambiance is nice and bright and I enjoyed sitting in the lobby. 4/5 For service I would rate my experience a 1/5. I did come on a holiday but one thing I would note down is that I had a sense of worry for the team as a customer. They were getting slammed with both mobile orders and walk in orders that backed up the entire store. There was only minor communication from the staff because of this load and everyone waiting's experience suffered. I felt bad for the team and others waiting. Maybe next time I would suggest closing off mobile orders on holidays so that all the drinks would be called out more fluidly. Love it when summer comes because I can get the Tangy Fresh Peach Slush at Jam Jam Tea Lab! I took my car in to get an oil change and walked over to Jam Jam to get a refreshing drink while I waited. Once you order, your beverage is ready pretty quickly. At 50% sweet, the slush is perfect and has lots of agar balls to chew, but not so much that there's not enough liquid. The interior is really nice but there's no air conditioning (or at least it's not on very high, so it can get a bit stuffy inside). The spots inside were taken so I sat outside on a free table in front of Siam Station (which closes between lunch and dinner). You can order at the counter or on their pad. Most of Jam Jam's drinks are good, though I often dislike the extra toppings or "particles" that are added to some drinks, such as flower petals and parts for I believe their osmanthus milk tea and pieces of glutenous rice(?) in their cheese barley milk tea. To be clear, these teas are good, but the forced extra toppings are only a distracting and negative experience for me. Their drinks are highly customizable, offering 8 toppings, 2 foam types, and 3 types of milk, in addition to typical sugar and ice levels. Though it is mainly a to-go/pickup product, the interior of the store is clean, large, with plenty of seating for chatting and lounging. The past two months, I've been making the trip out every week or two following my dog's surgery plus follow-up visits right by John Wayne Airport. Appointments were at 7 in the evening on Mondays so most boba spots in the area closed early but Jam Jam was open late enough to where I could stop by on the way home. Both evenings were packed with people so I knew it was a good spot. I usually opt out for a fruit tea and a milk tea when I try new boba spots to see what the vibe is but since this spot literally had tea in the name, I had to try their biggest hits. Got their Green Grape Smash 25% sweet, with less ice. The drink was so good that I got the same exact drink my second time around. Although I got less ice, they still filled the drink up to the brim. I loved the tart flavor from the lime slices and sliced up green grapes. It was a perfect balance of sweet and sour even at 25% sweet. Their tea base is fantastic and the fact that they use jam to flavor the tea is also awesome. You can order via person but there's a kiosk available that I used both times which was the fastest way to order. Even though it was busy both visits, my drink came out very swiftly. Everyone here works fast and the drinks were on point with consistency both times which is also a plus! I 100% recommend Jam Jam Tea Lab and if I'm in the area again, I will definitely pay another visit. I'm glad I don't live nearby because I'd go broke ordering their teas! read more

I found Jam Jam from an event they had hosted last month. They were giving away white peach and gardenia milk tea - I did HAVE to get both because the white peach was delicious. The gardenia was EVEN BETTER! I've ordered the gardenia at least 2-3x after I first tried it. It's a limited edition drink, probably for the summer. I usually adjust the sweetness too and it's perfect. Dare I say, this has superseded Omomo. Lines are shorter, boba is just as great. Drink options are awesome. I'm in Irvine every Sunday for church so I typically stop by here every Sunday afternoon before heading home. Looove the coconut mango pomelo drink here! I usually get it 75 or 100% sweet, if I'm feeling indulgent. For my kids, I'll get it 50% sweet - they still love it. I've also tried the green grape smash and found it too limey/bitter for me (especially if I don't finish it and try it the next day). I got their #5 White Peach Milk Tea and noticed that the milk overpowered the flavor of the white peach tea and also fluctuated at times. I just have to start this review by saying this is only based off two drinks and it is for their top two drinks: Mango Pomelo and and the Green Green Grape. I do love the Mango Pomelo but it really isn't something that I would normally order at a boba shop. I'm that milk tea, or just straight tea type of person BUT decided that I needed something refreshing and fruity which is how I stumbled across Jam Jam. The Mango Pomelo was more of a smoothie as it's pretty thick and the grape was completely liquid minus the pieces of grape and grape jam. I opted for 50% sweet but I think doing 75% sweet would be perfect to be honest! I did make the mistake of coming here at night thinking it would be a great place to get my nightcap but BEWARE if you're sensitive to the caffeine in tea like I am!
