My family and I went here for dinner the other night. The service is really slow, but there was also a lot of people in the restaurant, I think there was a show, and the boat parade was the same night. There were a lot of holiday parties and private family parties as well. The food was good. I only had appetizers, I ordered the popcorn chicken and the lettuce wrap. The band that was playing was SO GOOD! The saxophonist was especially great! The restaurant is bigger than I thought! When I walked to the bathroom I saw a couple private spaces for parties. It's a nice little spot by the marina. But parking is kinda tough at night.

A group of us ladies had dinner here before the stand up comedy was to take place. We enjoyed some drinks first out on the patio as we waited for our table was ready. Sitting outside enjoying the ambience of the outdoors having a view of the boats in the water made for a relaxed setting as we chatted. Once seated inside at our table we placed our orders. My seat partner and I decided to share our orders. We enjoyed Chinese Chicken Salad, and a Crab cake sandwich. Everything was delicious! The setting inside was roomy with plenty of seating. We were seated where we could see the comedians. The customer service was excellent! Thank you for being patient with our group of ladies. I would definitely come here again!

Having walked by Jade Restaurant many times, I decided to finally come and try their weekday lunch buffet (Mondays through Fridays 11AM-3PM for $19.95/person as of July 2025). The setting on the water is very pretty, and it was a nice day so we opted to sit outside. They have umbrellas to provide some shade as well. Service was minimal given it is a buffet, but our server was friendly in refilling waters and clearing plates. The buffet itself was small but they managed to put a lot of dishes in a small space. My favorites were the soup, salad, string beans, edamame, pasta salad, and honey walnut shrimp. Some of the deep fried items were not that crispy, and obviosuly the dishes were sitting under a heat lamp. Nonetheless, for the price and value I am more than okay with a mediocre buffet. Dessert even included some tasty French macarons. I left full and am glad I tried their lunch buffet.

Marketed as an Asian fusion restaurant, Jade restaurant provides Chinese, Japanese, Korean inspired dishes in a nice waterfront setting. Located in the Marina Pacifica shopping center, right next to the marina in Alamitos Bay, it has a ton of indoor seating along with a few outdoor seats in a narrow walkway overlooking the moored boats. We found the atmosphere, service and most of the food to be good, and of decent value during its generous Happy Hour times ( 3 - 6 pm S - Mo, W - Sa; All day Tu). My wife shops and dines at the shops in the Marina Pacifica shopping center, and wanted to dine-in at Jade for the first time after passing by it so often. We were hoping to snag an outdoor table overlooking the water/marina (thus coming before 4 pm) but were told the only open table had non-working umbrellas, so we chose to eat inside. Inside is a 7,000 square foot restaurant (this iteration opening in 2019), that easily could be divided into multiple occupancies, but the current owner has chosen to use it as one space. It's a big space with multiple entrances, a bit winding with a too small, outdated bathroom. There are many laminated menu sheets: One for Happy Hour, one for sushi, one for lunch buffet (M-F 11 - 3 pm for $19.99), and one for classics. We were celebrating, so ordered a variety of things to sample and enjoy. This meant different cooks were preparing, so it came out at different times, in the following order: Lychee Martini ($13) - from HH drink menu, it was very sweetly cloying, with a decent amount of alcohol...had to help my wife finish it. Mom ordered a fountain Coke ($4). Sushi Box ($20) - from the Happy Hour Menu, it's a nice variety (though it didn't exactly match what was said on the menu). The six pieces of sushi (2 each of tuna, snapper, salmon) were generous though the quality of the fish was below average. The 4 piece california roll was OK, with good avocado. The green salad has a variety of ingredients (was more of an Asian salad) and was one of the best I've had in a bento box. The miso soup was flavorful and full of tofu and seafood. For twenty dollars, this is a good deal. Noticed they have an all you can eat sushi special (M - Th, 3 - 8 at the sushi bar) Lettuce Wraps ($10) - for HH menu, there was a decent amount of good flavored chicken, with a big stab of iceberg lettuce (there were plenty of leaves, but it was old and a bit dried out...many restaurants wouldn't have served it). Dan Dan Noodles ($19) - chose it with ground pork, instead coming with pork loin pieces. It was more of a soup, with a small amount of lo mein noodles. The flavor was good...just not dandan. Bento Box ($18 + $2 for fried rice) - From the HH menu. Chose it with sweet and sour chicken and cup of wonton soup. The egg roll was a bit greasy, with small amount of fried rice being quite tasty. The same salad in the sushi box was given, and enjoyed. The chicken was quite good when eaten fresh, and I especially liked the perfectly cooked peppers and pineapple. With the just the right amount of sauce, it was a good dish and would be worth getting again in larger quantities. Green Beans ($6) - from HH menu, a decent amount of fresh green beans, cooked just enough to wrinkle the skin. It was good. Service was OK: the place wasn't too crowded and our server provided all that we explicitly asked for, though nothing suggested or noticed. The food came out when prepared, and there wasn't enough space at the table for 4 to hold our entire order (so we had to juggle a bit), and the dish clearing was hit/miss. We paid at the table. With time left over, decided to explore some of the other shops. Parking is shared for the mall and was quite crowded, and because the entrance is so far away, took a bit of a walk from door to door. Jade has a lot of specials, so if one goes at prescribed times, can actually get good value (especially if during HH and being able to sit outside)....and with the eclectic menu, provide a variety for big parties. Though it is a bit funny that for a restaurant so big on the inside, we were so cramped while eating.

Saturday 03.22.2025 Celebrated my wife's 50th Birthday. Had reservations for 8 people at 14:30pm. Checked in 15minutes early. Greeted and seated by the bartender who sat us down to our table. He was a nice guy. Smiling and accommodating to our experience. As we all sat down at our table. Waited a minute or two to receive our menus. The current waitress asked us if we wanted to start out with drinks. Ordered a round of water for everyone and ordered their special jungle juice Mocktails as well. All were received and described as it was from the drink menu. Tasted very good. For our entrees we ordered broccoli beef, orange chicken, chicken fried rice, beef fried rice, Walnut chicken, and noodles. Received all of our entrees within 20 minutes. Everyone at our table was enjoying the food and Drinks. Food was good and satisfying. Blew a candle for her birthday, and opened up her presents. The dining experience we had here was 2.5 hours. Overall our waiter Chris did a fantastic job! My son in law flagged him and stated if we can do something for the birthday girl like put a candle on a dessert so she can make a wish. The only thing that I did not like is we got charged for a little cupcake bread at the end, upon checking checking the tab. I was like come on man, it should be complimentary for a birthday patron to get something free lol. I got a sense of this place being stingy and tight. That wasn't going to stand in the way from having fun. Overall I would come back. This place is a hidden location on the bottom floor at the Marina Pacifica shopping center. Place was chill. Had a authentic modern chines and Japanese feel to it. We came here when it was not packed. The experience of being 1 of 4 groups of patrons in the restaurant gave it a feel of attentive customer service. Lots of parking and the place is Clean. This place gets rowdy at night for live bands playing. So may not be a good idea if you want piece romantic tranquility. If you come at noon and there is only two of you, I recommend sitting outside to enjoy the waterfront. It will be a nice Ambiance for a Sunny Day. I was hesitant to come here because of the recent negative reviews of bad tasting food and patrons getting sick right after dining. This was not the case from my experience. I was worried at first, since we had travel plans the following day. Either we got lucky and someone was not telling the truth or the restaurant made some changes. 4 stars, I would of gave it a 5 stars.. but felt like the charge for a birthday blowout cupcake was not sincere and genuine coming from the restaurant as a token of celebration. We spent alot of money already for a party of 8. Just saying. Overall had a good time.

I was so excited to try here when I heard about the all you can eat sushi, plus there being dog friendly was a bonus. However I was drastically disappointed by the appearance and taste of the food. The only thing I got that tasted good was the ginger salad. All of the sushi was extremely mediocre at best and the pan seared dumplings were burnt with no taste. I cannot stress enough how highly unsatisfying this meal was. To make matters even worse, I paid $68 total (including a tip) for the meal! Happy hour is a sad excuse for happy hour, $2 off drinks priced at $15+ a drink. More like "same price as regular menu priced drinks" hour, just occuring right after work hours. The only thing going for this spot in my opinion is the location with the water and boats and the magnificent staff and service. The staff was very amazing, so although I did not mind the tip, I remain highly unsatisfied and unhappy with what I paid for the food and drink and will never return. Wishing I could get my money back and the staff keep their tip. :-(

Wednesday Karaoke Night was fun! Peggie the KJ was engaging and encouraging. They allow minors to sing too. We didn't try any food or drinks.

I have been coming here for years and I am the biggest cheerleader of this place! Let's start with the location-the views are AMAZING! It's right on the water and you can sit on the patio to see all the cute Duffy boats on the peninsula. Parking is in the back and the place is a bit tucked away but don't get discouraged! You can also park in the Gelson's lot and walk over. Clean bathrooms and a huge, sprawling restaurant space with an Asian chic vibe. We come to see our favorite bartender, Shawn who makes a life changing cosmo! (Order one and tell him Hillary sent you!) He used to work for the Beach Comber so this man knows how to sling an amazing cocktail! Not only is he incredibly attentive, no matter how busy it gets, he's also got a fantastic personality to match and an award-winning smile! We also love beautiful Lyn! The other star of this place is the food! They've never disappointed me and I have too many favorites to name so I'll just list a few: the rainbow roll, crunch roll, andQueen Mary roll, are all fantastic for sushi. For starters I always order potstickers-pan fried or steamed I like chicken or pork and then I order the spicy garlic green beans (TRUST ME!) and the cheese wontons that come with a mouthwatering sauce. And let's talk about the happy hour...It's 3-6 everyday. EVERY DAY! Even weekends!!! Can't go wrong there!! And the happy hour menu is BANANAS! Discounted drinks and cocktails, and apps, with sushi rolls discounted and also the boxes! I love the Mongolian beef and the honey walnut shrimp-such great food and an amazing price! This place also has fun comedy nights and live music so do yourself a favor and check it out!

Excellent experience now that the unprofessional and rude manager Scott is gone. Enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drinks were delicious and the band Mike Staggs & The Soul were AMAZING and put on a great show! Everyone was dancing! Thank you Jade for making the necessary changes to improve our overall experience. Mary was our server and she was super attentive and provided excellent service.

I hate watching the baristas on their cell phones texting whomever they're texting. I hate watching them huddled in the corner, not washing their hands. And I also hate the fact that the televisions are on and worse blocking the view. Is this a sports bar or is it a nice dining experience. I don't know. Maybe it's just me.
