This place has amazing chicken tenders! So tender! And their mozzarella sticks are so cheesy!

Stopped in at this place while racing at Road Atlanta. Turns out the owner Jack is a retired racer himself. Great Ambiance in this little place. A bunch of fun locals who know each other and have a good time without getting out of hand. The food is amazing. It looks more like a bar when you walk in but they have their food game on point. The pork chops were so thick I thought they were either going to be raw or overcooked but they were neither. So tender and juicy. Great garlic and rosemary flavor without the garlic overpowering the taste of the meat. Perfectly cooked potato with generous sides. My friend got the fish tacos and he said they were the best he ever had. We also got an appetizer of their fried green beans. I never thought I would enjoy a fried green bean but there wasn't a crumb left when we were done. Service was so friendly and prompt. Jack himself even came over to check on us. I can't speak for the mixed drinks, since I had a sweet tea but I can tell you the tea was perfect. Not too sweet, just sweet enough. Clean restrooms. The whole place was clean actually. When I go back to Road Atlanta you better bet my first stop will be at Jack's. read more

The good- staff is friendly warm and welcoming The bad- the mixed drinks are weak hard to taste the alcohol. The ugly- avoid buying wings they are expensive, tiny, & no flavor We left a decent tip for the server, it was not her fault the wings and drinks sucked. read more

Came here between 10 - 11 PM. Got fried mushrooms and a ribeye steak with a side of fries. Everything tasted amazing. I was impressed with the quality of the food considering the timing and the hole-in-the-wall feel of the place. Highly recommend coming here. Customer service was good too. So we walked in and the place was packed as expected, so we went out back and wanted to grab a table on the patio like we usually do. We went around back and there was a small crowd around the outside bar with a "girl" behind the bar. I asked if the patio was open and a patron said "only if you want warm liquor" I LOL. I asked the girl behind the bar if they're serving on the patio. Her response was "WHAT THE FUCK YOU GONNA ORDER" in a not a joking way, my response was "what the fuck! " instantly I knew she was fucked up or crazy. So, we we went back in to leave and I asked to speak with the manager. I didn't get his name but he seemed responsive. Hopefully he addresses the WTF attitude. I'd rather eat a shit sandwich than have some crazy bar tender treat me and my wife like the way she did. I tip really well and this kind of behavior from staff reflects on all of the establishments employees and is not only unexpected but unacceptable. I have to say is to the girl is, and I'm going to sugar coat it "figure it out or go Poor." As a side note the servers inside did not want to see us leave. They even tried to make room for us. Been here a few times. Have always had a good experience. Today was different. Good- fried mushroom's are the best I've ever had but you have to ask for ranch if you don't want the horseradish they bring with them. Burgers have always been good. Usually great service. Not so much today. Atmosphere is what I enjoy. Sports tv's going, music playing, lots of people talking. Bad- today I was seated and then ignored. Had to grab someone to get a meal and order food. Placed an order for appetizer, meal and a to go order. All came at the same time. The to go order was plated. Had to send it back to be boxed up. Still no attention from a waitress, just the hostess. Never got a drink refill either. Chewed all the ice up trying to quench my thirst. Ordered the steak quesadilla. Not the best. It was steak cut up and grilled with cheddar mix cheeses. Not sure why this is classified as a steakhouse, this is a neighborhood bar and grill. Having said that, they have excellent food with huge portions. I don't know what choke hold Jack has on the Braselton/Hoschton area.... All of his restaurants suck! They are all poorly managed, overpriced and mediocre food. If I could give this a zero stars I would. We were happily eating our food and a cat showed up, he was so friendly and would let you pick him up. We gave him food from our plate we did not want because we knew he was a stray. A few minutes later one of the owners came up to my ten year old daughters, picked up the cat up and said hatefully sorry I got to kill this cat. Left to the parking lot, and the cat was fighting back with her. She threw him in the back of the trunk and shut it. Hopefully this is for Jack's tavern. If so this place has 5 star hefty sized STELLAR steaks cooked to order/ perfection every single time. We take everyone that comes to visit to this place and they always go back when they return. Actually there's absolutely nothing on the menu that isn't absolutely delicious and the prices are best around for the quality you receive.
