Every time we go into Talmo Market Grill about 30 minutes before closing, we're treated like an inconvenience. The staff looks annoyed the second we walk in, and the cook glares at us while making food--often without gloves or a hat, which is a clear health violation. One time, as we walked in, the cook even muttered, "Great, look what we have to deal with," which was incredibly rude and unprofessional. The owner and staff is extremely rude to us for no reason, and we've overheard derogatory nicknames about us behind the counter. It's unprofessional, disrespectful, and unhygienic. They've officially lost a loyal customer. Save your $100 and spend it at a restaurant that's kind, respectful, and actually appreciates your business. read more

I've never felt so uncomfortable at an establishment that's supposed to serve the public. Every time we visit -- always well before closing -- we're met with cold stares, bad attitudes, and an atmosphere that feels more like a punishment than a breakfast spot. The staff (and even the owner) seem irritated the moment you walk in, as if showing up 30 minutes before closing is some kind of offense. Despite always leaving before closing time, we're treated like we're causing trouble just by being there. The food? The breakfast biscuits are dense, doughy, and undercooked -- more like raw dough balls than anything enjoyable. What's even worse is the behavior we've witnessed. We've overheard staff laughing and referring to us with insulting, inappropriate nicknames behind the counter. That kind of behavior is disgusting and absolutely unprofessional. They also never let customers use the restroom -- it's always "out of order," no matter when you go. It's hard not to feel like they're just trying to drive people away. Whatever happened to customer service, basic respect, or even just common decency? We won't be returning, and I wouldn't suggest anyone else waste their time here either. read more

@talmomarketgrill in Talmo is my go to breakfast spot when I want a delicious breakfast without the stress and crowd that typically comes from most cities. They serve breakfast and lunch but I typically find myself here for breakfast for their awesome GRILLED CHICKEN EGG & CHEESE BISCUIT, full of flavor with the perfect biscuit. Cute, quaint, country vibe in the middle of Talmo. Friendly small town staff and the food is not too bad either. Most often there's a line waiting to order which tells me others like it too. Love supporting local unique businesses and this place is well worth the visit. read more

This little place is like going back to the old country house for breakfast or lunch... the people are sweeter than their iced tea... and the food is hitting hard on all cylinders. The "ambiance" (for some reason I have to use that word or the little bar doesn't turn green so I feel I'm cheating the location). It's like the old country store... if you grew up in the south you know what I'm talking about... burgers are homemade... fries.. the pimento cheese... makes my mouth water thinking about it... it's closed on Sundays and it's only open till 2 pm the rest of the time but this little jewel is a repeater on anyone's places to visit. read more

Best hamburger I've ever had - seriously. The only problem was that the meat was so juicy and tender that it completely soaked and destroyed the fresh bun. I was there with a group of 12 men and almost all of us asked for forks to finish our burgers. But SO worth it. They were wonderful about handling our group. Service was quick. The servers had personality and kept checking on us. The location looks like an old country store - really neat. The menu is limited but it's all fantastic. read more

Traveling back in time! If you blink while driving through Talmo, you'll miss this one. The building has clearly been here from long ago. So quaint. It's across from Talmo park. Very old wood floors, and signage from the era, and area. Food was good, not awesome. Peach cobbler was disappointing. Soggy like dumplings. Good flavor, but not great. I still recommend a visit here if you want a blast from the past. read more

This place is a freaking gem!! I am so sad that I don't live or work closer but regardless, I will return. Hands down best traditional style burger I've ever had. The fries were fresh and tasty. It's a bit off of 129 but worth the hunt. Quaint little place with antique decor. The food selections favor sandwiches including an extensive hamburger menu. I tried the chicken salad on toasted wheat bread. It was loaded with chicken and quite tasty. My husband had the Frito Pie, which is served on a large plate like a flat taco salad. It was a tasty mixture of crunchy frito chips snd homemade chili, not too spicy and well proportioned with lettuce and tomatoes with sour cream on the side. Topping off our meal was a piping hot cinnamon bun with homemade icing that was NOT healthy but very tasty. read more

Stop by here to pick up some food for the boys on the way home from a party and saw the sign "Eat" so we stopped. This is the Talmo market Grille and What a great little find out in the middle of nowhere. Family-run homestyle restaurant at breakfast and lunch and wasn't sure about how late they stay open but grabbed six burgers, fries and then some pralines for mom to take with me on the way home back to Flowery Branch. The burgers are fantastic and the boys love them as well as the hand cut fries and I spent an hour cleaning my car since they had to have everything on their burgers. The pralines are to die for and better than anything you'll find at Cracker Barrel. Just love the country design the simple front and well-managed restaurant in the middle of town. Old-style Georgia for sure. It is pretty extensive menu including Frito pie one of my favorites but we were just grabbing burgers for the day and will head up there again to try some of their other specialties. Came to eat one day with my husband and daughter. My husband ordered us some burgers and fries. The fries were terrible, you could definitely tell it was old oil they used and they were reheated, very soggy and full of grease. The same with the burger. The meat was bland and the buns were soggy and puddled my plate full of grease. Not sure who the chef is or cooks, but he definitely looked like he didn't care about what he's feeding people. Heard the breakfast is good so I'm hoping it'll change my mind. The location is great, it brings back memories of old Talmo and so convenient to be across the street from the playground. I love for everybody to try it out, don't base your opinion off just my experience. Excited to try the breakfast for sure. read more

This quaint little place in the small North Georgia town of Talmo, GA is a must stop for passers by and a favorite for locals. The beef served in the restaurant all comes from a ranch just a few miles away and depending on the route you take to get there, you might just see the cattle roaming the pastures at Talmo Ranch. If you stop in for breakfast make sure you try the thick cut bacon with whatever you have. The biscuits are amazing so, I'd d finitely suggest getting a biscuit as well. On the way out the door make sure to grab a couple of their house made cinnamon rolls for your trip. They are absolutely divine and you'll never consider a cinnacorporate made cinnamon roll ever again . Lunch is probably my favorite because the burgers are a true KNOCKOUT and when paired with the handmade fries you'll know there's love in this grub! They will even let you get home made pimento cheese on your burger (which is my suggestion). P.S. They sell frozen steaks from the ranch here as well. Prices ranged from about $11-$18 a pound depending on the cut and I'd say that is a pretty smoking deal. We spent some time walking the property and taking pictures of the old structures and train depot as well as a retired caboose. There is even a picnic table out on the grounds that you could cozy up to for a nice Fall lunch with your sweetheart. Hope y'all enjoy this quaint little gem as much as we did. read more

Talmo Market Grill food truck came to Revival Hall tonight. They ran out of burgers, which is fine. My problem is that the staff was exceptionally rude. They did have chicken sandwiches so I ordered that. The chicken filet was tiny, tough and had no flavor. It was a very disappointing experience all the way around. read more

Exceptional burger farm raised locally highlights a diverse menu of soups salads and sandwiches. Chicken salad is superb! Service is grand and the joint is clean. Decor consists of any and everything over 75 years old hung on the wall. It was a quick delicious lunch with a small town cafe feel to it. read more

A local diner doing good work. Simple menu with good food and good service. The staff is friendly and orders arrived quickly. I took a group of customers here and we all ordered various burgers and they were out to us within 10-12 minutes even with a somewhat busy lunchtime crowd. Also a wonderful point in my book is they take AmEx. So many of the non-chain places don't accept AmEx which sucks for us folks who are traveling for work. You won't find much in Talmo, but this place is a gem for burgers and fries. You can get a single 4 oz or double 3 oz patties on your burger, and add some thick sliced bacon for taste. You'll find farmers in overalls and other small town folk popping in for breakfast or lunch, but you better be done by 2 pm. read more

WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE! Exceeded my expectations! Stopped here for breakfast after a successful court session. Since I was out in the boonies, I wanted to check to make sure this place was legit and open. Immediately and pleasantly greeted on first ring and was told they're open and still serving breakfast. Directions were accurate and easy to find. This place totally takes you a blast from the past and it has that southern coziness. Acknowledged I had called and greeted upon arrival by the hostess since I drew attention to myself to test their attentiveness by mentioning I was the one called 5 minutes ago. As mentioned before, they were serving the breakfast menu and it was the traditional breakfast combo that was dictated by the protein selection ranging from sausage, bacon, steak, and tenderloin. Then, it came with eggs, grits or potatoes, and biscuit..all under $10! During my experience, my server, Emily indeed scored some extra awesome service points as she was super attentive, personable and dramatically enhanced my overall dining experience by ironically offering my favorite hot sauce unexpectedly : siracha! To all random travelers, if you find yourself hungry between breakfast and lunch hours, then definitely make a stop!!!! read more
