A cute spot with great food! The food was delicious and our waitresses were very nice. We sat in the back patio area and it was cute, plenty of umbrellas for shade, adjacent to the bar area. The servings were a good portion (including the massive side salad!). The vegetarian options are a little lacking but there are definitely options :) My only real complaint is that the bathroom is a singular room; had to wait quite a while to use it! read more

Crazy busy and short staffed--- BUT they not only make the best of it, they made us feel welcomed and powered through it. Great service, GREAT American traditional brunch with a cool twist. The mimosa was absolutely on point- a splash of OJ. I had the doughnut burger.... Delish! Not too sticky sweet, just enough sweet with savory bacon, meat and cheese. The runny egg on top was a perfect touch. My friend had the Mr. October... holy smokes their gravy is FINE! Customer service, food quality, presentation and downhome vibe. Needs to be more people and places like JDubs. We are all in this together and they are doing it right! Shout out to John the bartender--- what an exceptional personality. I am torn on my review. I am giving 5 stars as we love this place, the food is great. The service depends on who you get. We always sit in the bar and most of the servers are excellent. Though, there is one that struggles. He is kind but so slow. His ability to multitask and focus on the customers is lacking. He will spend more time cleaning the bar while the customers wait to be approached or served. Many get tired of waiting and just go to the bar to get service. I believe I heard him say he is now the bar manager, which is concerning based on the service he provides. I would give him 1 or 2 stars for a review...It deters us from coming on days he is working. Our time there can be increased by 30+ minutes due to his service. I know the industry has been struggling but I will say the other servers don't have the same issues. read more

Service was meh nothing special but we were at least checked on I ordered the Mr. October and was excited but very quickly disappointed when the chicken was rubbery an chewy I couldn't eat it also my potatoes seemed old and "re-fried" from earlier bc they were so dry just a hard crunchy potato. A sad yet true and honest review. As a local, JDub's food was amazing. Even featured years ago in magazines. Over the past year almost, food has done a 180 in negative way. Below average now and sometimes awful. And we have tried to give chance after chance. Fish and Chips, way overdone. Burgers such as Blue and Wisconsin, tasteless with thin burgers thrown together. Deviled eggs, runny from sitting too long. And this morning the biscuits and gravy + mr. October, looks nothing like pictures online now, thrown together with basically no gravy, bacon was so overdone it was taken off, eggs came wrong. So we gave you 10+ times as a local to hopefully fix to what you use to be, but for what you get now...the dive across the street produces better food. It's sad as this places food use to be great and a local favorite. Guess the owner must not care anymore as it's been almost a year now. If you're visiting, don't listen to the good reviews. And if you think you'll try it anyways, it's your disappointment. But another group of locals now no longer will come. read more

Walking around downtown and stumbled upon this bar/restaurant for lunch. Bloody Mary's were amazing !! We ordered beer battered mushrooms that were outstanding. Burgers were just OK. Pretty solid breakfast place. I have not had the chance to try other places in the area but my friends from Bend come here pretty frequently. The atmosphere is fun and lively. Every table gets a sheet of paper to draw on while you wait which I thought was cute and fun. I got the Bloody Mary which was bomb and tasted like pickles. We visited J Dub twice on our trip to Bend. This place has excellent service and treated our dog like a VIP (Very Important Pooch). Our pup loved the grilled chicken and sweet potato entree from the dog menu. I wasn't the biggest fan of the black bean burger but I liked the devilled eggs and salad with crispy chicken. Husband enjoyed the lobster Mac and cheese and the fish and chips. read more

Ordered breakfast Togo. Highly recommend checking the food. Eggs were missing and a pancake was burnt. I got the chicken fried chicken which just seemed to be a chicken strip. We have eaten breakfast at J-Dub previously and it was good. But our visit today was disappointing all the way around. One meal had under cooked, cold bacon, cold eggs and cold potatoes. Sent it back. The bisquets and gravy, which they say are "better than Mom's", was also disappointing. The gravy was unlike anything I've had before..just a few tiny little pieces of sausage and not like gravy at all. It appeared they put more effort into sprinkling paprika on the bisquets than to making classic gravy that would fill you up. We won't be eating at J-Dub's ever again...really a bummer, it's a nice space, but food has gone downhill. read more

Was visiting Bend from out of town and decided to stop at this place. It was one of the only spots open at the time with food that looked appealing to us so we stopped in! Instantly we were greeted by the most charismatic guy in the world! He was so funny and kind. I didn't have a chance to catch his name, but he was fantastic. The food came out about five minutes (not kidding) after we ordered which was possibly the quickest service I've ever had at a sit down restaurant. When the waiter was walking over with our food I said, "Woah, that was fast!" And he replied, "Still not fast enough!" It was great! The food was unbelievable tasty and VERY reasonably priced. The atmosphere was cute as well. I can't recommend this place enough if you need somewhere to eat in downtown Bend! read more

Read some great reviews on this restaurant but was very disappointed. Came in on Saturday around noon for lunch. There was about an hour wait which was totally understandable with the Fairwell Festival being in town. i had no issues with the wait. Was seated and thats when the issues began. Trevor came to take our order. We ordered a basket of cheese curds as an app, then two burgers for the main. My wife ordered an iced tea and got maybe 3 ice cubes in it. We asked for a cup of ice but never received it. We watched two of the tables sat after us get their apps pretty quickly, and at about the 20 minute mark I asked Trevor if he knew when ours was coming. At this point, I just wanted him to be upfront and say either he forgot to ring it in or the kitchen lost the ticket, but instead he told me that the kitchen was very backed up with fryer orders (two of which went out to the aforementioned tables sat after us). So I knew I was being lied to. He said that all the food was going to come out together. 3 minutes later, our cheese curds came out first. I'm only giving two stars because the cheese curds were great. The burgers came out 7 min after that, and were decent but forgettable. Nothing special. We ate, and asked for the check which was dropped off and processed very quickly. Working myself in service and hospitality, I would have been fine if Trevor was just upfront with me and let me know there was a mistake. Lying to me really just ruined the overall experience. I understand that it's a busy weekend, but you still have to make sure every customer leaves feeling like they were taken care of. read more
