horrible service- waited at the bar for so long.. didn't realize there would be a line? wouldn't you serve the bar up and down? went to wait in the line, the bartender (shorter lady with leather skirt, wavy hair, red lip on 7/16/2026) decided to just skip us and get EVERYONE else besides us. took the ID of someone behind us, and got a 3 drink order of someone who just walked up. then noticed she walked up the bar towards where we were waiting 30 min before. tried to give the benefit of the doubt as a solo bartender, but we moved to where the supposed "line" was... out of all the bars we went to tonight this was the worst service.. and all we wanted were the jell-o shots PREMADE.. read more

My friends and I are in town, and all night, this was the worst service ever. We waited at the corner of the bar and the bartender never came to us, and we found out there was a line, so we went and waited in line. Mind you, we were already waiting for like 30 minutes. So when we found out there was a line. We went to wait in line! Tell me why, when we got to the front, the bartender decides to help the person next to us then us. Then she proceeds to help everyone else around the bar besides us. Mind you, 3 Asian people, and skips all of us. Never experienced this, and we went to so many bars around the area tonight. I don't even to want to rate this place 1 star, I would rate it NEGATIVE. STARS. I've never experienced something like this before and I've been to other bars in bend a few times. Usually everyone is nice, but tonight was not it. The bartender lady did not attend to us at all and we were waiting in line for a while. There appears to be a serious violence problem with some of the staff at the Astro Lounge. One or two of the bouncers nearly killed two people last week by kicking already unconscious individuals lying on the ground hard in the head a few times. Instead of using their certified de-escalation skills to safely break up a fight, my friends and I had to rip these people away and call 911. It's really concerning. read more

Right after midnight on 5/24/25 I was ordering drinks for 2 people from the outside bartender. He poured one. I said "one more." He somehow thought I said 2, and when I tried to correct him he threw a fit. He initially tried to charge me for 3 and insisted I said 2 more drinks when I literally said one. He should be fired. Definitely too thin-skinned to be a bartender. Or work in customer service in general. read more

Went with some friends. One of my friends got kicked out for tripping on the stage. If he looked too drunk that's understandable. I went back to get his lense from his glasses that fell out. One of the security guards put me in a headlock and punched me in the jaw three times. I started no altercation. I'd love someone to check the cameras. I'm pressing charges for assault. read more

I like that place. It has a cool vibe and the people that visit it looks great and like they have a lot of fun. This place may have become our favorite local dive bar in Bend! It's not super fancy, but it has a nice social atmosphere, made even better by the incredible bartenders! From the moment we sat down, we were engaged in friendly discourse with our servers, including one guy (whose name I shamefully did not catch) who had just come on shift. He discussed with us about having a desire to craft some sort of cocktail using Galliardo that wasn't a Harvey Wallbanger, and had an experimental recipe he had devised earlier in thr day that he wanted to try out. I told him I was game. Aztec chocolate bitters, sweet vermouth, whiskey and Galliano. I was surprised how much I liked it. Loved it, even! While I savored it, the bartender and I discussed what to name it, and for some reason our conversation shifted to the movie Blade Runner (a favorite of us both). We decided it had to be called either the "Deckard" (his choice) or the "Roy Batty" (I felt it definitely had a "teardrops in rain" quality). If you ever come here, ask for either one, and you may just be in luck! My wife had a good chuckle at our emerging Bromance while she enjoy her cosmopolitan, which was so wonderfully smooth and tart. There are a lot of excellent choices for places to grab a drink in Bend, but this one has rocketed to the top of our list! It will be a definite must stop next time we are back in town, not just for the incredible drinks, but also mostly be engaging and personable staff. It reminds me of the type of pub experience you see in movies and on TV: personal and personable. Cheers to that! read more

It's a bummer that a place this cool has the bartenders they do. This place is such a vibe. However the last two weekends I've gone I've been screwed over by the bartenders. I'm a bartender myself, so I'm pretty chill when it comes to this stuff. However, the first week (2-3 weekends ago) my friends went up to the bar first and got like 2 lemon drop shots and two white claws. 9.00 for the shot... pretty standard. Was made in a normal shot glass, tasted just right. Not even 5 minutes later my SAME friend went up and ordered me one. They gave her about one ounce of liquid TOTAL in a little plastic cup. Charged 9.00. Brought it to me and we were all so confused... but I took it. I like my shots on the sweeter side bc I'm not a big drinker. I'm 99% positive this was straight lemon juice and simple syrup. No vodka. So same price shot for half the liquor (alcohol apparently not included.) Went again last night. Went up to the bar, it was packed and so loud so understandably she had a hard time hearing me, no worries. I ordered 3 shots of casamigos with salt and lime. In my head I imagined it being somewhere between 40-45. Casamigos is a little pricier, I believe at my bar it's around 14.25. She brought over again these plastic cups with maybe (if I'm being nice) one ounce of tequila. I again said we wanted the limes (didn't even bother asking for salt since they were cheap plastic cups) she hands me my tab ... 59.00!! At that point they are charging almost 20.00 for a tiny shot. A standard shot is 1.5 oz. I am known to have a heavy hand, so I don't expect 2 ounces but again... MAYBE we got 1 ounce. I put my cash out and decided to take a peak at the tab, curious if she over charged or what. She charged me a large party fee!! Of 9.00... what?!?! 3 basic shots?! Large party?! I have never in my life heard of that. Automatic gratuity sure, pretty sure almost if not all places that charge that it is 6 people or more. And that is really to cover the server having to tip out the kitchen if they get stiffed or shorted big time. I just gave her the cash and didn't say anything but now I'm a bit heated over it. read more

Stumbled in here with a bunch of friends because of the music and fun vibes radiating from the place. Pretty big space inside with long couches and tables. People were really dancing in the middle of the bar which was very fun. Good punch bowl drink with LOTS of booze that's fun to share with people. We had a great time here. read more

How did we find ourselves here twice during our visit to Bend? The first time we were drunk and stumbled in, not realizing it was a college dive bar. Once things got busy we got out. Was in the bathroom with my friend who is gay, and he made sure all the girls were okay with him being in there. I was very drunk and have no phone at the moment and the employees banged on the doors kicking him out even after i said it was okay. There was at least 3 of them and they proceeded to say they don't care about his sexual orientation and it didn't mean anything to them. I was left in the bathroom clearly intoxicated while they were kicking him out. All i asked was him to go to the bathroom with me before we left. The degree to which the bartender (woman who is reportedly the bar manager???) was rude to everyone at Astro was truly baffling. I began ordering drink for myself and my two friends and the bartender cut me off after saying the first drink with "if you're ordering more than one drink, actually be ready before you come up to order". I said "I do know what I want, you didn't let me finish ordering". She then made a hand motion like "hurry the f$&@ up then". I finished ordering and she rolled her eyes and walked away. She completely butchered our order and gave our check and credit card to the wrong people. We made the mistake of going back for shots and she took our order. A few minutes later she came back and asked what we wanted... we looked at her a bit confused and opened our mouths to say that we already ordered, but before we could even speak, she threw her hands in the air, rolled her eyes, came back with someone else's card and receipt and threw it down on the bar to where the whole check, card, and pen fell to the ground. We picked it up but have no idea whose card that actually was, so hopefully they got it back. We started the night at D&D which had the nicest bartenders and ending up ending the night at Capitol (also super lovely bartenders) after the card-throwing incident. read more

I love it. The venue is always busy and lots of interesting people to meet and talk to. They have karaoke on some days which is really run. I went here as a non binary man and I went into the bathroom as I felt completely not safeI This heterosexual bar and I was in the bathroom with a bunch of girls who I had disclosed my sexually ORIENTATION and they said it was ok because there wasn't another option. I was forced to leave, when I told the lady bartender who is there for the last 5 hearts she WAS awful saying my sexuality wasn't valid and that I can't come back. I completely understand that everybody has to be out of the place before 10pm because of current covid restrictions, but I was left feeling very irritated with how this place handled this. Instead of calling a last call 20-30 minutes before they closed and nicely pushing people out the door, they served drinks up until at least 9:50 and many people were left with a full fresh drink when at 9:58 all of the bartenders started screaming "GET THE &!&@ OUT!". A male bartender burst into the women's restroom at this time to yell this as well which felt extremely inappropriate. On top of this, they were not reinforcing the mask mandate among customers- many were standing around everywhere but the tables without food or drink, with no mask to be found. This place is so dirty. The bar was sticky, the floor was sticky, the couches in the front... I was afraid to sit on. The bartender was rude and her drinks were not mixed correctly. If I could give half a star, I would for the DJ only because he seemed like he was really trying to show people a good time. The woman's restroom was disgusting and out of everything. The floor was flooded and grungy towels were just piled all over the floor to soak up the mess. In order to get into the working stall you had to step on or jump over the piles of sewer soaked towels. One sip of my drink and a trip to the restroom was enough to make me leave this place and not ever come back. read more

Let me start by saying I found this place while searching for craft cocktail lounges on a recent trip to Bend. The Astro Lounge provided cocktails, minus the craft. There was one very friendly bartender who managed the growing crowd of people (while working solo). We each had a cocktail and decided to snack on a pretzel... our best selection from the Astro Lounge. The pretzel was perfectly warmed. The crunchy exterior broke open easily to reveal the soft, steaming white exterior. They provided a mustard and a cheese sauce for our dipping pleasure. very unfriendly and unprofessional service!! server proceeded to call my family names and knew she was in the wrong and told the other server she couldn't come down to our end of the bar after doing so. we left as they did not deserve our money. I waited around to get the servers name and she refused to give me her name or a managers. she then proceeded to rip my phone out my hands from across the bar then took it outside to throw it in the street under a car shattering the back of my phone. I was very nice and friendly when asking for her name and she instantly lashed out. I personally work customer service and am also a bartender. if you weren't in the wrong you wouldn't react the way she did. This lady was very out of pocket and should not be in the customer service business. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more
