Cool place to hang out especially if you are staying at the Springhill Suites since it's right next door. Brewery and food always a great combination. They have beer and wine and lots of places to sit. Staff are super friendly.

Really cozy place! Visited on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. There was also live music and we had to practically yell to give our order at the bar. 3 food trucks outside with a good array of food choices. The pizza cart was tasteful and warm, perfect for enjoying outside around the fire pit on a chilly night. I'd visit again if in the area!

It's been awhile since we came back here and I was surprised they added some bourbons to the menu. You can only get them neat or over the rocks, which I do not mind at all. We stopped by Crosscut while waiting for our order from Abe's. The interior is clean, open, and welcoming. They have a good selection of drinks. Our two adult beverages were made quickly and exactly what we were looking for. It looked like most everyone inside was hanging out for a while, including families with kids. Our visit was relatively short (~25 minutes), but we will definitely be going back for a longer visit in the future. read more

I live in bend have been here many times, but won't be back. I came last night and had the worst customer experience. First the bartender wouldn't give me a taster to taste the sour, which has never been an issue in the past. Bartender was very rude about it. Then my friend ordered an American pale ale and it was a clearly a hazy and my friend said hey that's not a pale ale and the other bartender said take it up with the brewery. That's not how anyone should treat their customers. Also, bathrooms very dirty. read more

Beers went up to $7. No bueno. Love the pizza trick here but I was definitely surprised and disappointed to see beer prices have gone up to 7$ a pint. I know the price of just about everything has gone up BUT I am still paying the same price at the store for good craft beer as I was 3 years ago. Price gouging. Guess we won't be back for a long time.........and maybe just grab a pizza to go. Sad, because we used to love this place. read more

Do we have enough taproom & food truck pods in Bend? Apparently not what with this new one and another one coming on 4th street (eastside). I'm not complaining. - Prices are in line with everyone else in Bend. - Extensive tap list full of local beers. It's much bigger than the other beer/food truck pod located nearby (The Podski), for example. - Limited food cart offerings so far but it includes the best pizza in town (Abe Capanna's). The Podski greatly exceeds Crosscut in this regard (except for the pizza) and I'm not sure how Crosscut can put more trucks/carts in their space. - Nice indoor area; nice outdoor area. The inside is a ski-lodge style high-ceiling affair and the outside is various benches, seats and tables with a couple of iron fire pits. Given The Current Unpleasantness (COVID-19), I'm not terribly comfortable inside, especially since none of the patrons were masked. But outside is definitely doable and there's plenty of social distancing space built into the tap counter for when you order your beer. - Smallish parking lot but there's also street parking nearby. I have to think the Box Factory folks will frown on people parking in their lot, which is just across the street from Crosscut. I like it. With a lot of competition nearby (The Podski, Immersion Brewing, Crux Fermentation, Brown Owl, River Pig, Spoken Moto) they need to be good to survive, I think. read more

I pick the hotel next door just so I can walk over and enjoy the atmosphere this place radiates. Not necessarily a beer drinker but I always make an exception when here. But now they have a large selection of bourbons and whisky!! Plus! However if it is warming indoors you prefer over the fire kettle's outdoors then I suggest you come early. Plenty of beer selections and decent amount cider and wine selections. Prices were average and sampler was $10. It's self seating and self ordering. Limited indoor seating with strict number of people allowed at each table due to COVID. Max number of people at the largest table was 6. There is also outdoor seating but didn't notice the same rules. The fire pits seem like a good idea for colder weather. There are a few food trucks in the outside seating area. Good for larger groups and socializing. I do want to visit when they open up more seating as their couches upstairs and all around were closed off. read more

OMG this is our go-to place in Bend! As a local, it's our first choice, that quintessential Central Oregon vibe! Came across this gem as I was leaving town. Stopped in to check it out. This place is great!!! Great atmosphere and fire pits look awesome. Great outdoor and indoor seating. What a GEM! This lil rustic Taphouse truly delivers! Staff are all providing respectful COVID practices for safety, thank you! Spent an entire afternoon relaxing outside at 2 different fire pits plus 2 fountain features - lots of family friendly seating options to spread out comfortably. The inside was clean and smelled like a cabin, hence the name Warming Hut! The center features an old boiler converted into a rad wood burning stove and other outdoor gear decor. Also, there's 3 food trucks - I just couldn't help myself but to try multiple items from each with pure belly delight... The owners closed up shop downtown and created this new place on 2nd Street in Bend's Central District. It's now called Dogwood at the Pine Shed. Why Yelp won't create a new, distinct page for the Pine Shed is beyond me. That said, the Pine Shed is a fine place for drinks and food truck fare. The open, spacious 'shed' has plenty of varied seating surrounding a nice bar with quite a few tables outside on the patio. Mobility-challenged folks have choices too. For those worried about 2nd Street's reputation for sketchiness, don't be. Revitalization efforts by the city have transformed the area. At times of good weather, with the big doors open, the Pine Shed is quite a nice spot to relax. Cocktails were the raison d'etre for the former incarnation of Dogwood and that emphasis transfers here to the Pine Shed. I particularly like their versions of a margarita but the other cocktails are uniformly good too. The beer tap offerings are not so spectacular, however, with only four (and a cider). On one visit shortly after they opened for business, two beer taps were tapped out, which can be chalked up to growing pains. In any case, the Pine Shed can't be seriously regarded as a tap house in the style of the many others in Bend (On Tap, River's Place, Crosscut, The Lot, The Podski, Midtown Yacht Club, etc.). Come for the cocktails. They do offer low ABV and zero ABV drinks. At present, the food truck choices are abundant and pretty decent. Being trucks/carts, and thus mobile and prone to relocating themselves, I'll not list them here. Best to check the Pine Shed's webpage for current offerings and then go to the relevant Yelp page for reviews. Parking is street only, no parking lot. The city has completed construction on 2nd Street so there are more spots available than before.

I grabbed a Stagg Jr 2.5 oz pour at a very reasonable price along with wings and curly fries, hot, crispy, and exactly what I needed. Plenty of bar seating, tables, and high tops in the back, but come early or plan on the upstairs. Solid Bend stop, great energy, strong drinks, and a team that works hard to keep it moving.

It's a very small setting with upstairs and downstairs seating, we went on a Tuesday night and there is plenty of room for us (party of five). Most of the group ordered Old-fashions and I just wanted something a little bit more refreshing at the time so I ordered a Mojito. The drinks were great, and the bartender worked well with us. All in all this place had a great atmosphere great drinks. It was perfect for an after dinner kickback.

Great decor and music, but apparently fire pits are just for show! Went here with a friend, excited to gather around the inviting fire pit. Spoiler alert: the fire pit stayed as cold as my ex's heart. Despite numerous customer's polite (and increasingly desperate) requests, the staff refused to light it. So there we were, huddled together like penguins, with chattering teeth. It was like a Game of Thrones episode where "Winter is Coming" but without the dragons to warm you up. The only thing flaming that night were my expectations, swiftly extinguished by the frosty reality. If you're into arctic adventures, this place is a solid choice. For those of us who prefer not to get frostbite with our fries, maybe try somewhere that knows how to handle a match. A fire pit isn't just about warmth; it's about the experience. It's about gathering around, sharing stories, and creating memories. It's baffling to have a fire pit as the centerpiece and not use it. It's like having a piano no one is allowed to play. So if you're hoping for that special ambiance and togetherness a fire can bring, bring your own campfire because it won't be happening here. Management, take note: the fire pit isn't just decor. This business is a great place with a beautiful design. The staff talks with customers and creates a kind and caring connection. The bar tenders know their job and their quality of beer. I have noticed that the young runner is chatting up a storm about this place with a great attitude and kind words. The amount of action that occurred on the first day due to the public being released from quarantine was understandable. I know of this because some friends of mine where there at the time. They tried at all costs to make the flow of traffic move smoothly and safely: using arrows on the floor and many signs. They also where very sanitary by using masks, whipping down tables, counters, chairs, etc. The amount of effort Bob put into this place is extraordinary and outstanding. Thank you for making this place Bob, it's very detailed yet simplistic and I know many people have been wanting a place like this in Bend. Great work! This is now my new favorite spot in bend and I sure hope it's yours since it's well staffed and beautifully designed! Thanks again!
