After a bunch of beer stops, but not ready to head back to our accommodations, we saw this billiards bar and decided to play a few games. Prices were reasonable and they had an excellent tap list so we stayed a while. The bar itself is really cool, pool tables along one side with plenty of room to play, plus tables. Décor leans beer; they also had upstairs seating and darts. The server/bartender was friendly and fast with drinks. We didn't know at the time, and still don't know from personal experience, the complaints about the space. There were some concerning signs around that come off as more than jokes; unsure what to think but it's best to make up your mind whether to patronize. Overall, we had a fun time here. read more

The bartender wouldn't make me food because he was "busy". It was a Sunday night and he was just standing around doing nothing. Bartender is lazy and has a bad attitude. Plus my IPA was half foam. Don't recommend this bar. Way better ones to spend your money at. read more

Great place to hang out for a couple of beverages and playing pool! I definitely recommend it if you're in the Bend, Oregon area.

Dude is billiards bar is a very cool fun little spot to hang out. The atmosphere will vary depending on the night, sometimes it's quiet while other times it is definitely a popular pub. The husband and wife team that on operate this place is pretty genuinely friendly and helpful people. They offer a reasonably priced drinks and amazing pathetic Australian meat pie's, even offering a vegetarian option for people like me. The pool tables are in great shape as well as the pool cues, the dartboards are nice as well though the darts could use a little TLC. This place is family-friendly until about 8 PM, then it is adults only. Dude is will definitely become a fairly regular hang out for me, my family and friends. read more

Was very excited to play pool with my bro, and was visiting from out of town. The atmosphere of the bar was cool, but the bartender was trash. We waited in line for the last pool table, and one of their "regulars" jumped the line and got the table 1st, and when we mentioned it to the bartender, he claimed that "that's one of our regulars, so he gets priority". Immediately killed any desire that I have to come back to this place. Love the atmosphere, but get a new bartender. read more

Location: It is located in Downtown Bend, near the intersection of NW Gasoline Aly and NW Oregon Ave. Parking seemed relatively easy to find. The People: One of the coolest bartenders in Bend. Very friendly, great vibe. The Drinks: - Rum and Diet Coke: Strong and tasty. - Vodka and Soda: Strong and enjoyable. The Food: - The Joe Burls (Aussie Meat Pie): Delicious! The bartender recommended this one. I will definitely try the other ones when I go again. It came with sea salt chips too. The Venue: Great and fun venue. It is a billiards bar and played a game of billiards for free with a local I met there. Nice experience. Upshot: This is probably one of my favorite three night life spots in Bend, in terms of the venue, the people, and the environment. Will come by again to hang out with old friends. read more

DUDAS!!! What an awesome place to play billiards in Bend!! The owner, Jeff, is super nice and helps to keep the vibe going. Bartenders; Ryan, Jason, Meaghan are top notch and pour a great drink. Duda's has great decorations and lighting and has a cool locals vibe. A safe, clean place to hang with your friends, make new friends, and experience Bend as it should be. The space is larger than expected from the front....lots of pool tables for $10.50 an hour... pretty good shape and the one we played on was level. The food... was just ok.. the idea of a pot pies sounded good... the pies are pretty small.. we ordered three...the classic with cheese... but it arrived with no cheese... the flavor was sweet hamburger but was enjoyable... the Joe Burls was pretty tasty.. the chicken party was my favorite... all three came with chips... Ok, we got takeout and the pies are great. Tasty, flakey... really good. My disappointment is that the yelp profile says they deliver. My wife and I are in bend for a few days and we called multiple times two days in a row. When nobody ever answered during probably 5 calls, we stopped by. My wife went in while I stayed with the tiny human in the car. She ordered two pies to go which is great, but the menu online says you can add mashed potatoes and peas to any pie. First I'll say that I'll give it another try for sure. I was wary when I arrived as I was the only person there on a Friday at 1. The classic pie I had lacked the gravy, or anything beyond one-dimension flavor. The beer selection was good, though more Aussie choices would seem appropriate. I lived in Melbourne AUS for a year and the Aussie meat pies are legit. Had the Joe Burls and it was flakey and the filling was tender and well seasoned. Also tried the sausage roll and spinach and feta roll. Both were well made, just a touch more seasoning on the rolls and they would have been perfect. read more

I was wandering around on First Friday Art Walk with several friends when I noticed Duda's. Open for about four weeks, this is clearly still a well-kept secret amongst Bend locals. I've taken large corporate groups and smaller groups of friends to a variety of billiard places for years. For comparison, one of my favorite establishments was the (now-defunct) B Street Billiards in San Mateo, CA. Duda's is a fantastic addition to Bend, and I expect that it will draw pool lovers once the word gets out. The ambience is modern and upscale, with beautiful dark hardwood floors. The pool tables themselves are rock-solid and balanced, with brand-new felt and untired bumpers. Another nice surprise were the good-quality cues. The lighting over each of the tables was bright but not blinding. The tables were spaced reasonably-well (one of my group only bumped once into a player at the next table over). They charge per-minute for the tables at a rate that works out to about $10/hour. This is a steal for this quality of experience. Drinks and food can be ordered from the bar in the back. My group ordered only drinks, which everyone thought were reasonably-priced. Service was friendly and relaxed, and the bartender even came out to our table a couple of times to retrieve our glasses and get refill orders. My group had a fantastic time there. I'll definitely be back. Shhhh -- don't tell tourists about this place. We don't want it to be overrun! read more

The dirty blonde female bartender is one of the worst bartenders I have ever encountered. I think she was on a little power trip or something... from the second I walked up to the bar she immediately ignored me, pretended to help other customers who had full drinks, then asked the person next to me who walked up AFTER me what they would like. They turned towards me and said, "she was here first". I kid you not the bartender looks at me and goes "oh one second I'll be with you soon" pretends to do other things then ignores me yet AGAIN and helps another person who walks up after me.... keep in mind the bar was not busy at all what so ever. GREAT PLACE nice owner-good food- friendly bartenders- good alcohol selection I love this place, I met the owner on my 2nd trip there and he was super nice, definitely the right person in the right position. They're food is good for bar food. They have a lot of tables also darts and a shuffleboard table (not sure if that's what it's called). Very good atmosphere. Will be back and this has become my regular spot, I also like how I can bring my kids before I believe 9 or 11pm. Cool bar with decent priced drinks and a great atmosphere. Less stars because the bartender followed my friend into the bathroom to tell him to "make sure he tips." As an Aussie transplanted in the SF Bay area, I'm always craving and searching out for good Aussie meat pies. While on vacation for a few days in Bend, and pure coincidence running by Duda's on a morning jog my wife spotted 'Aussie Meat Pies' and we came to a sudden stop! Gotta check it out if they're 'fair-dinkum' (OZ slang for authentic/real). So first chance I got to a computer, I read about Duda's Billiards Bar and fascinating story of how Josh (a Bend local) and Amy (an Aussie) got together. Anyway, these are great classic pies and creative ones too like the Ned Kelly. The sausage rolls and pasties are also wonderful. The place is a happy fun pool atmosphere. We met both Josh and Amy who were very hospitable. Definitely a great find, who would have thought in the middle of Bend, OR. We mentioned Amy should ship the pies to SF Bay Area :-) read more
