Eggs Benedict and Route 66, both crispy as requested!
Lisa H.

We stopped here on a road trip and had a delicious, fresh breakfast. We even ordered breakfast for our dog - she was thrilled to get an entire meal instead of a few leftovers. They give a 50% discount to active military every day, and also to veterans on the 11th of each month. WOW!! That's fifty percent, NOT a typo!! I had the Route 66 skillet and the hubs had the eggs Benedict. Misty had the Bulldog. The service was great - friendly and efficient. I was surprised it was so empty on a Monday at 8 - maybe everyone in that area works?!

Bubba Plate

I am sorry to leave this review, but I do so to prevent anyone else from wasting money. We should have known as soon as we opened the front door. My fiancé and I wanted to have a "home town experience" so we gave it a chance. The menu options looked great and maybe we did just order the wrong items. I ordered The Bubba plate (sausage gravy, biscuit, cheesy grits, and eggs). The "gravy" was certainly NOT sausage gravy nor was it house made. It was disgusting. They somehow managed to ruin cheesy grits. The scrambled eggs were ok. My fiancé ordered the same plate with potatoes. His potatoes were so dark and over fried. First and last visit for us

Cajun Scramble with potatoes and buttery biscuit

so gave them another chance and let's just say completely night and day since the 1st time! I tried a Cajun Scramble and everything was perfect and the potatoes seasoned perfectly and not cooked in old grease! Will return again soon

Tried to go this morning and they have signs up indicating they are permanently closed for business. Sad, we liked this place.

She took the time to tell us the must haves, she was sensitive to our age and diet restrictions. She did everything just right and with a beautiful smile and lovely attitude. # -- True Hospitality Reveals Itself When Things Go Wrong…read more **Culinary Dropout** 4020 Aspen Grove Drive Franklin, TN 37067 A flawless dining experience is always a pleasure. But I have long believed that the true measure of a restaurant isn't how it performs when everything goes according to plan. It's how it responds when something doesn't. After a full day of traveling, our party of four arrived at Culinary Dropout, looking forward to our first proper meal of the day and an opportunity to relax and enjoy each other's company. It was my first visit, and I was immediately impressed by the restaurant's size, lively atmosphere, and inviting ambiance. We arrived just as the live music was coming to an end. Our evening began with a few minor hiccups. Our initial server, who candidly mentioned that it was her first day, managed to get virtually every drink order wrong. Shortly afterward, another server, Jayden, introduced herself and took over our table. And this is where the experience became particularly noteworthy. Rather than making excuses or minimizing the situation, the staff and management took ownership of the mistakes. There were sincere apologies, attentive service, and a remarkably generous gesture of goodwill. What could easily have become an irritating start to the evening instead turned into a memorable introduction to genuine Southern hospitality. As for the food, we ordered fish and chips, turkey pastrami sandwiches, and a burger. Everything arrived fresh, well-prepared, and flavorful. The kitchen delivered exactly what one hopes for from this style of casual American dining: satisfying, well-executed food without unnecessary pretension. All four of us have worked in the hospitality industry at one point or another, so we understand that mistakes are inevitable, particularly when new employees are finding their footing. **Our five-star rating is entirely intentional.** Not because the evening was flawless, but because Culinary Dropout demonstrated something arguably more valuable than perfection: accountability, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to hospitality. The food was certainly good, but it was the people who left the strongest impression. **A restaurant's character is rarely revealed when everything goes right. On this occasion, Culinary Dropout showed us its character when something went wrong.** And we liked what we saw.

We started with the spinach and artichoke dip that is topped with Parmesan cheese. It was delicious. I had the ribeye and my wife had the lemon herb chicken. Both were cooked perfectly and the steak tasted like I grilled it myself! They offer complimentary rolls and the butter is out of this world. The menu is full of choices and they offer daily specials that are advertised on a large board. Overall, we had a wonderful dinner and experience and will be back. I recommend Franklin Chop House!

We were greeted right away by the owner and seated in a comfortable booth in the back. The space offers a nice mix of tables, booths, and bar seating. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the start. After we ordered, she brought out a basket of biscuits, three for the two of us, which was a bit curious, but no complaints here. The second basket came soon after the first. They were light, slightly sweet, and really good. For my entrée, I went with the Louisiana Bayou Shrimp with Crawfish with a side of corn. Wow, great flavor with just the right amount of kick, and they didn't skimp on the shrimp or crawfish. Portion size was spot on. My wife kept it a bit more traditional with the Southern Fried Chicken Salad, which was fresh and very well done. Safe to say, we won't wait another 30 years to come back. I've already got my eye on the blueberry cobbler next time. If you live in Franklin, don't make the same mistake we did, give this place a try sooner rather than later. Cheers!

The restaurant was already half full, creating an energetic buzz throughout the room. What struck me was how lively the atmosphere felt without being overly loud. While other restaurants might have felt noisy with that many diners, this one simply felt alive. They've clearly figured out how to create a vibrant atmosphere while keeping the noise level comfortable enough for conversation. Our server, Reagan, was friendly, courteous, and attentive. She took our drink order and promptly returned with two waters and two mimosas, made with freshly squeezed orange juice. What a delightful way to begin brunch! Mom ordered the steak and lobster Benedict and loved every bite. I opted for the classic eggs Benedict, and both dishes were served with roasted potatoes. Afterward, we treated ourselves to the donut rings, accompanied by three delicious dipping sauces: chocolate, raspberry, and vanilla. Yum! I'm a frequent diner here, and this restaurant never disappoints. The food and service are consistently top-notch, and that's something I truly appreciate. There's a certain comfort in knowing that every visit will be just as good as, if not better than, the last. Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, this is a restaurant you can count on for a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend!

Comes with jalapeno hot sauce - don't be shy, it's more slightly tangy than spicy and it perfects the delicious deviled eggs. Appreciate that they're generous with the glazed bacon. Wife loves the little gem salad. It's a bit light for dinner; she cleans her plate. Special of fish and chips - sounded wonderful, but they were out of the fish shortly after 5:30pm - what? It must have been a carry over from the previous evening is all I can imagine. Anyway, if it's on the daily specials, order as soon as you see it! Loud, bustling, it's a popular place, be sure to reserve ahead (of sit at the beautiful bar, that works for a lot of folks as well).

There's also a second bar in the back with several comfortable booths. To drink, I ordered the Drake Margarita, and it was very good. For my entrée, I went with the Buffalo Chicken Minis. You can order either two or three, and of course I went with three! The buns were soft, the chicken was cooked perfectly, and they used just the right amount of buffalo sauce. I added blue cheese for dipping, and wow... sooo good! They also come with your choice of a side, and the Tots were a great pick. We also shared the Rainbow Roll, and I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi here is definitely worth trying! Service was a bit mixed. Our server did a good job, but the bartender was very slow. I didn't receive my Drake Margarita until my Buffalo Chicken Minis had already arrived, which was a little disappointing. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and variety make this a place I'd definitely come back to. If you live in Franklin and haven't checked it out yet, it's worth adding to your list!
