Most may argue that flavor is above texture . For the most part I can agree on this. Even though the bacon was way too greasy and the bagel or cream cheese tasted like it had a hint of cake flavoring in it such as vanilla, the texture of the bagel was incredible. Crispy on the thinnest outer layer and soft with the right amount of moisture on the inside . This was is cute, well lit and petite on the inside, and I got my order in and received it in less than 10 mins. I loved their freshly squeezed orange juice, it's a must try. read more

The girl who took my order today acted like it was her first day on earth. I asked for BEC eggs over medium, well done bacon, and cheddar cheese xtra s&p.I got eggs scrambled with raw bacon and ketchup...Almost 7 dollars. Also not the first time they've messed up orders. read more

Their rainbow bagels are amazing. I want them everyday. Though, everytime i come to get a rainbow bagel, they are ALWAYS out. If you want a rainbow bagel for yourself, you need to be there at 8 AM sharp. read more

Amazing service and great food! I have celiac disease and they have a nice variety of gluten free options including lots of different flavored bagels! The bagels are a bit small but taste great. read more

Great experiences here after several stops. It doesn't matter what we order--it's all great. I happen to enjoy their salads and my family loves their bagels, omelettes and quesadillas. Service is always on point and the ambience (especially the courtyard on warm days) is pitch perfect. We're fans and will continue to return. read more

Huge salads. Best deal in town. Delicious lox platter. Great customer service. Friendly staff

Absolutely love this place! They're always super quick and get your order just the way you like it. I really appreciate that they have gluten-free bagels and not just any GF bagels, but really good ones! The GF cinnamon raisin bagel is hands down the best I've ever had. Their coffee is amazing too, I'm obsessed with the coconut flavor and love trying all their fun new options. Plus, they've got awesome smoothies and the prices are so reasonable. Easily one of my go-to spots! It's so cute inside too! read more

Bagels are disappointing. Cinnamon raisin bagel had exactly 1 single raisin in the whole bagel and zero flavor of cinnamon. Purchased Oct 26 '25 read more

***Gluten friendly*** Lots of gluten free bagel options!! However, they weren't the best GF bagels I've ever had. I ordered a pork roll egg and cheese on a garlic GF bagel and an everything GF bagel with the jalapeño cream cheese. I would 1000% recommend the jalapeño cream cheese SO good. I was there pretty early on a Saturday and the line wasn't too long. It did take a while to get my food, but everything came out hot and fresh and well cared for with my gluten allergy. They definitely have a great community vibe there - customers and staff were chatting so I felt like it was a nice local atmosphere. Fresh GF bagels are hard to come by - although these weren't my favorite I give them 4 stars for making it accessible and having many options! A sign also said they had GF bread and there were lunch options - I'd be curious to check that out! read more

Bagels were great I never feel bloated after eating their food. Shakes are delicious too! Quick service

Yum! They have great lunch sandwiches here. I got the marmalade sandwich on sourdough, very good. The service is decent, but actually pretty quick too. The inside is modern but clean and nice. Overall, would go here again, need to try the bagels still. Oh the coffee was decently priced and I liked how they had a seemly single origin blend I believe. read more

Go-to breakfast spot! I've been going for years now, and they never disappoint. Great bagels, cream cheeses, sandwiches, smoothies, and coffee. Staff is always extremely friendly. Very family friendly environment. Thanks JBC! read more

Great place. Long lines but move quickly. We get bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. Tiny place so very few seats.

Good selection of bagels and sandwiches at this place. I came in on a weekday morning so it wasn't too crowded. I'm a traditionalist so I ordered the Kaatz Pond sandwich-lox, cream cheese, onions, tomato and capers with a multigrain everything bagel. The bagel was just as I like with crisp exterior and soft interior and the sandwich had heaps of cream cheese. Good quality lox and fresh, ripe tomatoes. All in all a very good sandwich! read more

omg first time i ordered from here and let me tell you AMAZING DELICIOUS are an understatement! sooooooo damn good!!

Nice service. Not to expensive good food. Great vibes recommend for sure. Good for college kids

They have very good options in addition to the usual egg & cheese confections that you'd expect to find, which include panini sandwiches & plenty of cappuccino offerings. The place definitely has a Fairfield vibe to it & would do well almost anywhere on the Post Road. It is *very* popular with SHU students so expect at least a 10-15 minute wait for your food on weekends unless you call in your order in advance. Inside seats about 20-25 comfortably. read more

We recently moved to Trumbull and literally live two doors away, so tried the bagels. Omg, so fresh and delicious. We had the jalapeño bagel with jalapeño cream cheese, an everything bagel with sun dried tomato and were very pleased. The staff were great at explaining everything as they also have great sandwich options. The restaurant was very clean and tidy as well. We will be back read more

This Is definitely a busy weekend spot for bagels and breakfast treats. Overall it is your typical bagel location with a large selection of bagels and cream cheese. In addition to bagels they have lots of sandwich option. Wait time is minimal and depending on the customer volume. Bagels are fresh and tasty. The sun-dried tomato cream is heavenly. read more

J Bagels makes really tasty bagels, some of the best I've had in the area. I highly recommend a classic bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel - it's one of the best I've had outside of NYC. Very solid coffee options and a genuinely friendly staff, too. I highly recommend trying it out! read more

I truly have no idea how this place gets so much hype. I had a bacon egg and cheese from here recently and it was so mediocre. The bagels are... not great. I will take brueggars bagels ANY DAY over these. Not sure if they make them or if they outsource them but if y'all are outsourcing then buy them from brueggars because whoever your vendor is, sucks. Anyway, the BEC was blah. No flavor, the egg was just okay and the bacon needs to be cooked more well done. Overall not great. The iced coffee was okay. Nothing to rave about either. Very disappointed considering there's basically nothing to eat in this town. read more

Unfortunately they were closed for the day for maintenance so I didn't get to eat there but I have many times in the past.

J Bagels continues to disappoint. I just waited 7 minutes to pay for a cold drink from the refrigerator case. No other customers in the place. 4 employees stood idly by while I asked for service and was ignored. read more

Food was great but ordered 3 bacon egg and cheeses and only got 2 and food arrived quick

If I could give this spot a 10 star rating, I 100% would. I don't have enough nice words to say about this cafe. First of all, the staff are the sweetest and kindest people I've ever met. They will brighten up your day. Second, the food is just phenomenal. Their bagels, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and pastries are all amazing. I tried their rainbow bagel with Cadbury egg cream cheese when it was Easter and I was truly blown away. Their BEC sandwiches pressed are just fantastic. Run, don't walk to J Bagels and try their food. Always a 10/10! read more

Mid. Not the best bagels or sandwiches. They ran out of rolls, so I was forced to get a BEC on a bagel, which I don't like in general. Also very pricey for a mediocre bagel place. read more

I went to another spot for breakfast and the Yelp site said open but it wasn't and I was hungry and don't really know the area so I got out and looked around and saw this sign for JBagels down the road- so glad I did. I had the most delicious Bacon, scrambled egg and cheese I've ever had on a super delicious, freshly made bagel- it was heaven. The coffee was also very good. I am very picky and don't give praise lightly but this was truly excellent- so good that I don't understand why it isn't on Yelp until right now when I put it in. Worth the trip ! read more

the best everything bagels around. I like that you can call and order ahead. good amount of seating. Nice family spot. And smoothies too.
