Best bagels in town and fairly priced. As compared to newbys that charge a fortune. Plus if you only wish to buy one. You can. Always a favorite. Just disappointed they closed the Brickwalk shop. read more

The bagels were better than average, with great schmears. My only complaint was how extremely loud it was in the shop. Patrons and employees alike, couldn't speak loud enough above each other. read more

Searched bagels while we were in the area and really lucked out. My husband and I both had egg sandwiches on bagels and they were excellent. Staff friendly and so efficient. Noticed how many customers greeted them by name, so clearly a loyal following. Would definitely return if in the area. read more

I've been there many times, I used to go often. It's decent enough. This last time I was there I asked for a cinnamon raisin bagel with butter on the side. When I saw the lady cut my bagel in half (they charge for this), I asked her if I could just have the bagel as is, not cut. She scowled at my as she grabbed me another bagel like it was the end of the world. If it didn't cost anything, I would have let it slide, but they're literally adding on a service I didn't ask for and then trying to charge for it. No thanks I'll take my business elsewhere. I just want what I ask for, if I need my bagel cut for me, I'll ask, but not if you charge to cut it, come on lol. "One bagel, uncut, please!" No thanks, I'll pass. read more

Good bagels and great variety My only complaint is that the person who made my bagel the first time I went there was like mad and gave me lots of cream cheese with my bagel which was a bit disgusting If they don't like their job, they'd should get another one read more

Best bagels in the tristate area. Have been eating these bagels since birth basically. Was just in fairfield for the weekend and stocked up and not only did they not disappoint, they're even better than I remember. I live in Manhattan primarily with top tier bagel options but it's Bagel King for me. read more

This is my 2nd time going into the store. The staff is okay. I wouldn't call them friendly or rude just indifferent on both occasions. My review is really for the service and price. I know with inflation everything cost more. I ordered a bialy with 1/4 chicken salad. The items are already overpriced but when being rung I got charged $1 extra. I questioned the cashier who stated this was for cutting and heating the bialy. What!!? It's a ripofff. I'm already overpaying for a single bagel. What's next being charged for eating there. Some of the fees businesses are imposing are nonsensical. Personally, it's my last time giving money to this establishment. The food was just okay. I can get similar foods elsewhere. read more

Today I decided to have Bagel King. I wanted a light lunch so I went for the Chicken Salad Sandwich. It's not the first time I've had it. I've had it many times before. The salad is very flavorful and the right amount of crunch factor such as celery added into the sandwich. It was very delicious and the customer service is always spot on and fast. read more

I really like the taste and crunchiness of their bagels. I'm a bit concerned about their sanitation though. I recently went in and ordered a bagel and the person who waited on me, just finished handling money with her gloved hand. She then proceeded to use the same hand and take the bagel out of the bin. I called her out on it and she changed into clean gloves, I guess just to try to satisfy me. As I was leaving, I saw her take the same bagel she had grabbed with her dirty gloves and throw it back into the bagel bin. This completely goes against the Servsafe training and rules that all restaurants must abide by. read more

Ordered the everything bagel with the lox and cream cheese and it was yummy! Bagel was soft on the inside and crispy on the out. The service was quick and very friendly. Will return again and try their sandwiches and report back :) read more

Bagel King - Fairfield - Everything bagel with salmon lox cream cheese - Bagels Near Me - Fairfield, Connecticut

U have been going here for years and today was the last time. I ordered a salt bagel, scooped out and toasted with tuna. I am told they can't scoop out bagels anymore- something they and every other bagel store in the tri-state area does. Well, apparently someone complained about the way their bagel was scooped so they have stopped doing it in the last week or two. Completely absurd! There's plenty of other bagel stores in the area so they've just lost me as a customer. read more

My favorite bagel around!! So crunchy and tasty. Love a boiled bagel and these do the trick! Gotta sneak in after a Trader Joes trip! read more

Bagel King - Fairfield - Plain Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese - Bagels Near Me - Fairfield, Connecticut

bagels hard and tasteless. Breakfast bagel over salted and too oily. Not what I expected.

Be weary of hidden fees!! The cashier gave me a total cost then charged me another price.

I always have a positive experience here. They're quick and always have a full stock of bagels to choose from. They're pretty solid bagels for the area! read more

Excited I could get an egg sandwich after noon during the week!!! The sandwich was good, nothing special. The everything bagel was good but I've had better. Staff was very nice! read more

Bagel King - Fairfield - Egg and cheese - Bagels Near Me - Fairfield, Connecticut

Ordered a well toasted everything bagel with cream cheese-it so hit the spot! Took away more bagels and 2 croissants which were fantastic! I will be coming back for these! Service was fast and friendly. read more

It was my first time going to bagel king here in Fairfield... and my last. None of these women who work there wear hairnets and I found two strands of hair in my breakfast sandwich! Very Disgusting and unpleasant. These people need to learn proper edict and common decency before making this food for people. They were all very nice people but they will never see me again in there. read more

Hands down the best bagels in Fairfield, and likely beyond. Crisp outside, moist on the inside. People...pls don't toast these when you order...totally sacrilegious.... ask for your bagels dark and you'll never look back.... Poppyseed is the best. Lox spread, excellent bit a little pricey. in years past the owners used to be surly at best. but the bagels outweigh the need for a friendly smile. im not here for a social discourse, i want a good bagel... By the way...anyone comparing this to the crap that einstein bagels used to serve has no business going into a bagel shop. Go to ShopRite for your bagel fix...lmao... read more

Hot, fresh, delicious bagels. Had the everything bagel, very tasty. Also had a steak egg and cheese sandwich, real good!

These Bagels are sooo good. I love them. They have a great taste. Real New York style Bagels. Best ones I've had in Connecticut. I had been asked..no begged..to try this place for years by my dad who is a Bagel connoisseur. He grew up in New York and really knows his bagels. So he has been telling me that Bagel King is the best and now I can add my voice to his to urge any Bagel fans out there to to try these bagels because they are the real deal. I got an everything bagel and it was amazing. Now I have added them to my list of "go to" places. They get an easy five stars. Fresh and yummy, as a great Bagel should be, Bagel King is a must try. read more

Delicious brekkie sandwiches & bagels. Great service & I love how fast & friendly the staff were.

Bagel king is awesome for their low cost bagels which are delicious and genuine. They give plenty of cream cheese which comes in different flavors when you order it. Their pastries are also pretty good. Service could be better but they work quickly so it's not a deal breaker. This is my go to bagel spot in Fairfield. read more

These bagels used to be the best around. Purchased yesterday and very disappointed. Hard and not very tasty except for the saltiness. So disappointed. Bring back the old recipe. read more

First visit today. Bagels were very dense, the everything bagel in particular was very salty (and I like salt). But worst part was the added tomato slice that was literally white like snow except for an 1/16th inch outer band of milky orange color. Nothing bothers me more than restaurants that serve visibly inedible produce. I paid extra for something that had to go direct to the trash. Will not be returning. read more

My 2nd choice for a REAL Bagel- made in the traditional way w an authentic result. I also appreciate that they offer the "flaggle" not as dense & doughy as a regular Bagel w/o compromising on flavor & crunch as well as variety. They serve the very best scallion, salmon, jalapeno cream cheeses though! Also, they serve real Bialys- many places don't except Oscar's Jewish Deli in Westport CT. Salt, poppy seed, sesame seed, everything, rye, pumpernickel, onion, plain, Cinnamon raisin bagels. Too- croissant, muffins, cookies, egg/cheese on a Bagel, coffee, beverages, sandwiches etc. I have had everything except the sweets and I am always pleased that they are CONSISTENTLY good! read more

Went for an egg sandwich place smelled so strongly of bleach and cleaner yet it wasn't clean and everything In the cases looked old , the eggs were micro waved and the bagel was subpar never again everything was not good read more

Best place to get bagels in Fairfield County. Bagels are the real deal and always very good. The lox are great too. Friendly staff. Recommended! read more

If it weren't COVID era, they would definitely have gotten a one star. But seriously guys, just because Einstein bagels is closed, doesn't mean you can't make your Cinna Raisin bagels with a little more flavor. It's tiny too. I mean, really a bagel when you're starving is something you can't deny your body, but COME ON! Worst $2 ever spent. Just come here if you reeeally have to guys. read more

Exceptional breakfast food. Had a kind of dirty look to the restaurant interior. Huge room with fluorescent lights everywhere in the morning isn't the best. Service was horrible the lady in the front mocked me and rolled her eyes at me when I asked what a caper was. Not my fault 8 don't know. read more

For years the Bagel King has had the best bagels--crispy crust, perfect combination of air pockets and dense texture inside, and excellent flavor. In the last couple months, however, the bagels have become more like those flavorless fluffy boiled doughnuts sold as bagels elsewhere. They haven't quite sunk to those lows, but they are getting there, and I'm no longer sure they are worth the trip. read more

Love the flagels thinner than bagels and the lox spread is the best! I have tried so many other places all over and it is never as good. There are lots of lox in the spread! read more

Just purchased a dozen bagels and a small container of cream cheese cost $18.19, a little pricey but the bad part is the bagels are not fresh it's 8:45am the place was packed on a Saturday. WTF I will never go back again. read more

Not only the WORST bagel I've ever had, also just a terrible experience overall. Older lady behind the counter was so rude to me when she didn't understand what I said. Everything bagel with butter, bagel was burnt and hard to chew. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

This is as authentic as it gets, and I fondly remember watching the bagels float around and the giant chocolate chip cookies as a kid eons ago but the quality is still there. My parents used to grab a bag of a dozen random bagels every single Sunday but the Everything bagel was always my favorite without question. Lop them in half and toast them to perfection, it doesn't get much better than this. read more

Definitely not recommended very poor quality of a lox sandwich. If you are a true lover of these please pass on theirs. Poor job of toasting, applying cream cheese and condiments. Bagels are DAY OLD. Lox have no taste and are of poor quality. FOR THE BEST HEAD TO UPPER CRUST ON MADISON AVE. Now they can do it Right!! So sorry Bagel King but you have lost your touch. You previously were THE best in the area but NOT NO MORE! Thanks read more

A sad sad sad place. Decent bagels and terrible everything else makes it hard to recommend to anyone who doesn't self loath. I have come here at least a dozen times and I feel it is time to make an assessment. First, I was a previous food business owner, so I'm being fair when I say that I understand sanitation, customer service, experience. I don't need to beat a dead horse - many people have hit the nail on the head with describing the manager as rude. Sanitation: handling money and then touching bagels with your bare hands is gross and a violation. Please use latex or vinyl gloves. Customer service: Miserable is the only way I can describe the vibe. Unhappy ownership or abandoned management. You won't feel good about buying a bagel here, unless you have a little hate for yourself. It's frustrating too because the bagels are better than Einstein's across the street. This place will slowly go out of business. Experience: I would say they need about 10k in a Makeover to help make this bagel shop into a place where you would actually want to go and eat. The only way I can describe it is the waiting room of a gas station service department. It shares the same vibe of the room you wait in while your oil is being changed (and I'm not talking about the clean waiting room with free coffee like at a jiffy lube). read more

Best bagels around. Really good variety. Lots of really good spreads including amazingly delicious lox. Great service.
