Her pricing is never constant though, just a quirk, let it go, even if its high, next time it will be low and its never expensive. In a dreary Thursday morning, our fantastic Virgina surprised the crew with 20 bagels from this lil ole place in Newtown, which is almost an hour away from our place of employment. We were informed about Eunice, the owner of this business, and without having met her, she is the MVP of the year in our neck of the woods. She insisted on slicing all twenty bagel without even being asked. This saved us from breaking twenty plastic knives in attempt to cut these thicc, bad boys. These bagels were generously portioned that were nice and fluffy on the inside with a great crisp after being toasted. Half of a slice was plenty for a morning like this. Would go again, but since it's an hour away, unfortunately it may not be so often. Anytime I'm in the area, I'll be sure to stop by. Bagel Delight is a lovely local bagel shop. The bagels are wonderful but their customer service is notable. The woman at the register is so sweet and clearly knows many of her customers personally which I thought was lovely! The line on a Sunday morning was quite long, but they are really efficient and the line and wait for my bagel was very reasonable. The bagels were coming out piping hot and fresh!! The employees were saying how they were hot and fresh out of the oven. My sesame bagel was so soft and warm, I could tell that it was very fresh. So they have plenty of off street parking as it's in a large shopping plaza area. The place is run by a mom / daughter combo everything is cooked to order so the line is the line not to long but moved quickly once ordered . The bagels are racked in the open so you can see what they have which is the standard variations i didn't see any specials but I wasn't really looking either as I had my heart set on what I ordered. They have a few tables of you want to eat in but most people today was to go orders with a brisk business. The bagel was light and airy not a real hard outer crunch and not chewy on the inside more like a roll than a bagel being not dense. The flavor was fantastic as it covered all the levels and had really nice taste. My bagel was not toasted but was fine the way it was . The meat was plentiful the eggs fresh and the sandwich very tasty for my rainy Sunday morning . Overall I was pleased with my purchase but found the bagel itself lacking in that crunchy outer crust and chewy interior . Was worth the drive and if you're in newtown CT it's centrally located down the street from the flagpole is worth a try but I have found better for the area and still prefer as does UCONN AM bagel in Derby CT .. or Bagel King in Bridgeport CT. read more

Very disappointed. As a first time customer, it will be my only visit. I placed an order a week in advance only to show up as scheduled to find my order had never been put together. Some of the items were no longer available and I was overcharged for the rest. They charge $45 a lb for lox, but do not put the price on their menu. "You should have known how expensive lox were." A small spot with the basic bagel staples done perfectly. The basket labels included everything, plain, cinnamon raison, sesame, onion, rainbow, and egg. However, not all of those baskets had many or any of those by the time I got there, which was around 8:00 am. Not a huge variety, but I still did get 18 to take for my conference. I also picked up plain, chive, and strawberry cream cheeses and a few cherry pastries. I felt kind of bad because I felt like I was cleaning them out and there were quite a few people coming in as I was paying. However, it gave me great confidence I had made the right choice though. The bagels are very large, so save your appetite. Even without being toasted, they have a slight crispness to the outside. The inside was soft and still warm! So lovely. The prices are totally made up. I ordered 4 bagels yesterday with butter and the price was $21.00. Last time I went and got the same exact order (2 weeks ago), it was $27.00. When you ask for a receipt, you get the CC one with no listed items. When you see the one the owner takes from the register, it has made up items on it. Ordered a dozen to go, including Everything, Salt, Sesame, and Multi-grain type bagels. A dozen cost was ~$10. Brought 'em home, warmed 'em up slightly for a toastier crunch, added cream cheese and fixin's and these hit the mark for today's brunch, yum! Although we didn't order breakfast there, the menu offers several enticing morning sandwich options such as Avocado, Egg, Meats and Cheese etc. Cost seems reasonable for a breakfast sandwich, so we'll definitely be going back to try BD again over the coming days during our stay! My fiancé got me a ham egg and cheese on an everything bagel with a hash brown inside of it! The bagel alone was amazing! It was super thick and fluffy and packed so much flavor! Inside the bagel was just the right amount of egg and cheese but the star was how much ham was put into it! The ham was super fresh and delicious! This is easily on my list of top three bagel places!
