NY NEW YORK STRIP
Jim G.

Stopped in with a group for a business meeting. I got the martini with the really nice side car for $17. Tasty and almost two drinks which was nice. I also got the NY strip steak with mac and cheese. The steak was ok, certainly a large portion but not super tender. Nice touch with the butter on top. The mac and cheese was outstanding. I liked that more than my steak which is a rarity.

Meal was intended to come with Cajun rice. We didn't receive that nor were we made aware of it.

My family and I visited the Easton location to celebrate my mother's 65th birthday. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We brought in cupcakes and had to ask the waiter four different times to bring them out. We finally received them about 30 minutes after we had already paid our bill. Then, I ordered two Cajun trout meals to go. I didn't check the bag because my father picked up the meals and everything appeared to be correct. To my surprise, once I arrived home, I realized I did not receive the Cajun rice that comes with the meal. Instead, I received couscous. At no point was it mentioned that the side had been substituted. The service overall was not good, but that was truly the icing on the cake. You should at least receive what you paid for and what was advertised with the meal. To make matters worse, I called to speak with a manager and was left on hold for 10 minutes with no one ever returning to the phone. I called back again, and no one answered. Overall, it was a terrible experience.

Mouse under table at J Alexander's Easton Location
Lauren P.

Simply stated this place has delicious food. I enjoyed my meal. Waiter was nice and attentive. PROBLEM: Mouse running around the table across from us. NOT OK. I reported to manager Jordan and she did nothing but say it's getting cold outside so they are trying to come in. Not trying they are. And after spending $100 on a lunch for two this is completely unacceptable at a restaurant of this caliber. I reported to headquarters and they did nothing also. Not even a response. Not that they will look into it. Nothing. Manager does nothing. I have never in all my years ever seen a mouse eating food under a table in a restaurant. I thought it was clean but obviously if mice are out and about in the middle of the day they have a serious issue. If I felt heard or had gotten proper response or action I wouldn't even post this. But it's as though nothing is being done. It's not ok. So hopefully this will bring awareness to the right people at the restaurant to get it clean and get the rodents out!

This is the metal piece found in my devil egg at J Alexander's Easton location

On March 5, 2026 I was dining at J Alexander's and took a bite of a devil egg and broke a tooth a metal piece in the devil egg. It was my daughter's birthday and all they done was take off the devil eggs they were very rude like I put the metal piece in the food. I am a 65 year old black female with health problems had to have my tooth repaired and the most they offered me was $750 they tried to scare me to take it further. The fact is I wouldn't have went as far as I did if I had been treated like a customer that ordered food anyway and tried to eat but couldn't and they never accommodated the meals. Will never eat there again

We go here every two weeks or so and are never disappointed. Love the tuna meal, crab cake, and steaks.

I'm very pleased with the quick service. They have the best coleslaw. I'm disappointed with them taking the jumbo shrimp off the menu

We sat on the upstairs balcony and had a lovely meal. We started with soups and salads, the lobster bisque was incredible, I mean presentation alone was lovely. The Cesar and wedge salads were a good size and plated perfect. If we weren't already full we had entrees of sea bass, airline chicken and filet that were perfectly cooked to temperature. My husband ordered a Pepsi and was brought cherry Pepsi, then on our seafood tower we ordered 8 shrimp cocktail and were given only 7. My husband also got the twice baked potato but that also came out wrong and the server said she would take it off the bill, she did not. It was not good. The steak the reason we went... was a huge disappointment. We got the filet and the large ribeye. It just wasn't good, for the amount that they charge you expect to have great food and excellent service. Sadly both were lacking. I will never go here again that's how bad it was. I also never want to go to another Cameron Mitchell restaurant. I was so looking forward to it and was so disappointed. The lobster bisque and bread were good. We didn't get a check we got a total it wasn't until we paid and I asked for a receipt did I get the itemized that showed that we were charged for what she said we wouldn't. I thought it odd.

Best seafood boil I've had in Columbus!…read more Kai's Crab Boil is hands down one of my favorite seafood spots in Columbus. The gumbo is fantastic and honestly some of the most authentic I've had here in Columbus. It's packed with flavor and really stands out. Their shrimp and crab with the garlic butter sauce at a medium heat level is absolutely incredible. The seasoning and spice are perfect, and paired with their cornbread... OMG It's SO good! The service was great, and the ambiance was really nice too. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. If you're looking for a seafood boil with authentic Cajun/Creole flavors, I definitely recommend Kai's. Everything we had was delicious, and I can't wait to go back!

The ambiance was intimate, upscale, and perfect for a date or celebrating a special occasion. As for the food, it looked incredible, but unfortunately the flavor didn't quite match the presentation. Everything was beautifully plated, but most dishes left me wanting a little more seasoning and depth. At $39 per person for their endless brunch experience, it's a solid value if you're looking to sample a variety of dishes. That said, I don't see myself returning for brunch. I would come back to give their dinner menu a try because the atmosphere and service alone make it worth another visit. Great drinks, amazing service, and a beautiful atmosphere but the brunch food didn't quite live up to the presentation. I'll be back for dinner, but I'd personally skip brunch next time. Very spacious, well lit, and their staff was friendly. Sadly, that's about it for the positives. Their concept of bottomless brunch is great, the culinary execution needs work. My best bites of the day were bacon and a caesar salad, but I feel like those things are pretty hard to mess up in general. The avacado toast was okay, my egg was overdone but it had decent flavor. The steak and eggs sucked, no other way to say it. My steak was overdone while simultaneously being undercooked in some areas. The potatoes tasted like they came straight out of a bag and into an air fryer, no seasoning, and stale. The donut holes were really disappointing. They came out cold, hard, lumpy, and dry. We were also supposed to be playing bingo, but no one ever brought us cards or even acknowledged the game. Someone won towards the end of our visit, but we never got the chance to play. The DJ was bumping and the guy making waffles was cool, but I won't be back.

We were greeted by our server, Angel, who was friendly with just the right amount of sarcasm -- quick-witted and fun, never over the line. It was a Friday night, so the restaurant was definitely filling up, but the atmosphere stayed relaxed. The space itself is dimly lit, nicely decorated, and has a bit of an upscale feel without being stuffy. The menu offers a solid variety, from appetizers and salads to burgers, poultry, seafood, and steaks. Instead of bread, they start you off with house-made pickles, which I personally loved -- as a pickle fan, I didn't miss the bread at all. For my meal, I went with the 1977 Burger, ordered medium rare, topped with sautéed mushrooms, a fried egg, Havarti cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. At Ted's you can choose beef or bison, and I went with the bison. I also added a side of horseradish mayo, which really took the burger up a notch. The burger comes with fresh-cut fries or a side, and they offer a half fries, half onion rings option -- an easy choice for me. My wife went a bit more upscale with a filet, cooked medium well, and chose asparagus and Parmesan broccoli for her sides. She brought a cake to celebrate both birthdays, so we skipped dessert, but Angel surprised us with a couple of complimentary bowls of ice cream to go with the cake, which was a really nice touch. The only reason I'm not giving this a full 5 stars is because my wife's steak initially came out undercooked and her sides were cold. That said, once it was sent back, everything came out hot, cooked correctly, and she really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a very good dining experience with great service and a comfortable atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend Ted's Montana Grill for a nice night out and would happily return.
