My take on this spot SIENNA: the bartender was great 10/10. Five star review for her. Yellowfin Tuna Tartare: 6/10 - it was okay. Spicy Feta: 8.5/10 - GREAT! Just came with one piece of pita bread that was very warm and delicious but not enough to finish off the feta plate and I don't feel like scooping up the rest with a fork. The Clover Club: 7/10 - they have money 47 but they did not have raspberry syrup so they used strawberry. Wasn't the best Strawberry Clover club I've had. Lamb Meatballs: 7.5/10 - needs more cilantro. It does have cilantro in there in the Best Buy are with cilantro so make sure you eat it with the cilantro. meatballs were a little gamey and could've been a little bit more crispy on the outside. Rosemary potatoes: 6/10 - tasted like potatoes a little too much if that makes sense but the lemon aioli was great! Cauliflower: 8/10 - great! Could have been softer and a little more fresh but it was actually great. Menu: 3/10 - bit a huge selection and nothing caught my eye, also I hated reused menus. They just don't feel clean. Atmosphere: 7/10 - chill spot nothing crazy very clean. Price: 9/10 - $115 for everything was great! Overall: 6.5/10 - would come back but it's not like an experience it's like a hangout spot.
Stopped in to celebrate my mom's 69th birthday. We started in the bar with happy hour before dinner. The food came out fairly quick and had tons of flavor. It's a very nice setting perfect to hang another work out for any celebration.
The Zucchini chips were really good. The servers were nice and the space itself is pretty. We sat outside and the view in front of the fountain was refreshing. The food was not good in my opinion. The Zucchini appetizer was good and the desert was yummy. About what I expected from one of these types of restaurants... I didn't like how my chicken had all the skin on it also...it made it so hard to eat & was just gross tbh. I ended up eating half of one and just tossing the rest. I probably wouldn't eat here again, at the very least wouldn't get the chicken again... In my personal opinion, it was expensive and mid. Perhaps other things on the menu are better.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. We were on the second floor and the view was amazing. All the food was cooked perfectly with flavorful yet subtle seasoning.
The restaurant is lovely and the staff and servers were wonderful. We were lucky to have a cozy party room for our celebration brunch. The food is fresh and served beautifully. I will be honest, I did not enjoy my entree at all. The Mezza Grilled Shrimp is not something I'd recommend. The shrimp portion is paltry (3 shrimp) and was overcooked and chewy. I didn't like the salad either. It had mint (I believe. Could have been basil) which was bitter and off putting. Having said that, my party enjoyed their meals of beet salad, grilled salmon, Shakshouka and lamb burger. The hummus was freshly prepared along with warm wheat pita and the lemon blueberry cake and baklava were also enjoyed. Another person in our party did not like the Mezza shrimp either and they politely gave her a beet salad that she did enjoy, which was appreciated as the celebration was in her honor. You are definitely paying for ambience here. What can I say, sometimes it's worth it.
The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The steak was great and lobster spaghetti had great presentation. Nevertheless the spaghetti in the dish could've been a little bit more al dente and seasoned but the plump meaty lobster was the star of the show. That carmelized onion flatbread and the spicy lamb flatbread was OFF THE CHAIN! The service was warm, attentive, and professional, and the atmosphere made the whole event feel special. Everything came together perfectly. Definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great food and a good experience!
Went here for my birthday dinner. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they were able to seat us without a long wait for a Sunday dinner. We started off the with the lamb meatballs and hummus. Our entrees were lobster spaghetti and the Fire-roasted Seafood Platter. The seafood platter was huge even though we got a small! Lots of lobster in my spaghetti so it wasn't a disappointment. A complimentary Blueberry Tart was brought out for my birthday. It was not too sweet due to the lemons. Our server was nice and since the weather sunny, we sat in the patio section. I enjoyed this meal and look forward to coming back again.
Amazing food. Amazing experience. Very slow service, but it is what it is. I loved the location, I loved the spot. The decorations and vibes were on. Definitely just do not come here if you are in a rush at all. I got a martini with feta stuffed olives of course! I also ordered a truffle pasta. What more could a girl ask for?! I will definitely be back! Perfect date night with the boyfriend! Adorable!
Came to Del Mar after receiving a recommendation from a family member. We were celebrating an engagement and we were treated very nicely! The inside is so cute, with two floors and two bars. Our server was kind and provided recommendations on most popular dishes and her favorites. Everything we ordered was delicious and everyone was satisfied. At the end of our night they brought us their olive oil cake with a congratulations chocolate to recognize our celebration! That was so kind. Would return!
My family & I stopped in for Sunday brunch. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the service was great. We tried a few different cocktails from the drink menu and they all tasted weird and were not very good. I don't know how a bar could make something as simple as a Bloody Mary or Espresso Martini unenjoyable (especially for me, an adult beverage enthusiast) yet somehow Del Mar accomplished it. Our appetizer was caramelized onion bread that came with a spread that included a lemon drizzle which was an incredibly confusing (and awful tasting) flavor combination. Nobody was really wowed by their entrees. I ordered the Lobster Scramble which was just some basic scrambled eggs with lobster meat on top and an arugula salad that covered the majority of the plate. People seem to enjoy Del Mars dinner entrees so I wouldn't write them off entirely but when it comes to brunch service, it's bold MISS in my opinion.
Went out with a group to Del Mar on Friday night and it did not disappoint! Oh it was so good! Split the large seafood platter with a friend. It included shrimp, lobster, scallops, clams, and mussels! We even got toasted bread to dip in the sauce! Delicious! We had hummus to start and it was fresh and the pita that came with it was hot fresh out of the oven! The strawberry lemonade to wash it all down was very tasty too! Our server was friendly and on top of everything!
First time at the Del Mar that's now in Easton. Not sure I'll be returning anytime soon. We sat upstairs- while the area looked lovely, the atmosphere was way too loud. My party had a hard time hearing each other over the music (which was not very tasteful pop music). Our service was less than ideal, and pales in comparison to other fine dining establishments in Columbus. For whatever reason, our server took forever to take our orders (almost 30 minutes between when we asked for a couple minutes for drinks and when he came back for the drink order). The food was also average at best. We enjoyed the hummus and lamb the most, followed by the squash side dish. Our friends got the snapper, which was very very dry. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of it. Would not recommend that dish (which was actually recommended by the server over the other fish dish they were thinking of getting). My fiancé and I shared the ribeye, which was plenty of food for us, and decently cooked (medium rare). Our major gripe was that it wasn't warm. However, we didn't find anything special about it- he's made better steak at home. Our theory is that the food had been ready and waiting to be picked up for a while. It did take an unusual amount of time to receive our food. Finally, the broccolini was overly salted and kind of wet. I didn't enjoy it at all. Largely, a let down I would say.
Went twice in one day. First went for HH and enjoyed octopus and sangria at the bar. Then ended up back for a dinner upstairs. Upstairs was beautiful and felt like a different restaurant. Knocked down a star as it took 5-10 mins just to receive a dessert menu and wait times between courses seemed a bit slower. Bar service was fantastic though!

Another exquisite meal at a CM restaurant. Loved the Mediterranean Greek Italian mashup on the menu. The tomato salad is 5*, great margarita at a $20 price, and a wonderful veal chop we split. Great service by Ishmael who has been on the job for two weeks and started as a busser. Del Mar is great, and prices are very California. Good experience. We'll be back. read more
There's something particularly disappointing about returning to a restaurant you loved, only to discover that your second visit isn't quite as magical as the first. I'd been to Del Mar earlier this year with a colleague and had such a wonderful experience that I decided to return when work brought me back to Columbus. Del Mar is a beautiful restaurant with lovely outdoor seating when the Columbus weather cooperates, and you don't mind the occasional roar of motorcycles and fancy cars showing off. Apparently, dinner comes with a complimentary automotive exhibition. The little touches are lovely too, including an adorable napkin folded into a rose at each place setting. A small detail, but one that made me smile. I started with the snapper ceviche, which was fresh and enjoyable, though fairly ordinary. The accompanying sesame crackers, however, were fantastic. Not exactly the hierarchy of excellence I was expecting, but here we are. The beet salad was the clear winner. Beautifully tender beets, creamy yogurt, pistachios, and avocado made for a wonderfully balanced dish. Generously portioned and absolutely worth ordering again. And then came the $60 lobster spaghetti. The presentation was charming, but the tomato-based pasta was unremarkable, and the lobster was chewy rather than tender. Worse, I encountered several pieces of shell. A little crunch is lovely in a pasta dish, but preferably not when it comes from the lobster's former residence. Service was otherwise excellent. My server was also tending bar but remained prompt and attentive, refilling my sparkling water with lemon three times. Unfortunately, when I pointed out the lobster shells, there was little acknowledgment and no offer to make things right. I took the unfinished dish to go, but at $60, I expected a bit more concern. Despite the mediocre entrée, Del Mar remains one of my favorite dining spots in Columbus. The lobster spaghetti was perfectly edible, just not near worth its $60 price tag. read more

I think I had the best truffle pasta of my life here. Melt in the mouth, pillowy, truffly, delicious. The sangria carafe was yummy And definitely worth the price. Valet is simple and easy, servers are helpful and kind, The ambience is perfect, not too loud. Take a look at the dessert menu but was not impressed with the offerings. That would be my only negative here. The roasted cauliflower head as an appetizer is actually a meal on its own, so be careful if you order that as an individual order. I thought this would be fried cauliflower but this was actually a roasted cauliflower. But overall great experience. read more
First time here - came here after another place close by didn't take my order for nearly 8-min. I was welcomed promptly. Sat at the bar. All bartenders were immediate, helpful and attentive. Great atmosphere. It's beautiful in the bar area - haven't been anywhere else. Great! Pricing on the menu. Really great Happy Hour - lots of good options. Tonight I ate off the Happy Hour menu; gem salad (their take on Caesar, came with anchovies). Lamb meatballs - really good Dirty Martini I'd like to come back here and get something off the main menu - it's Cameron Mitchell so you can't go wrong with any dish. I really enjoyed the lively hood and the overall vibe of the place. They do have TVs at the bar area- two that face east and west. Worth checking out! read more
Review by :Avila.Eats on TikTok, insta, YouTube Service: All the staff are very friendly. I've been there a few times and have never had any issue. Water is always attentively filled, seated quickly, and waiters are always talkative and friendly. Atmosphere/Ambiance: The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. Striking seating area and a beautiful bar. A very elegant and romantic setting for a nice dinner date or a quick lunch with a significant other. Truly stunning decor. Food: Branzino is delicious, truly the best I've had. Flaky, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the sides. Absolutely incredible dish. The olive mash potatoes were great. The simple salad was good, but paired with that citrus tangy lemon dressing made it heavenly and mixed with the fish and mash potatoes was truly a to die for bite every time. Filet mignon was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. For a Mediterranean favored place, they truly know how to make a quality steakhouse steak. Paired with the same sides as the Branzino it was a delicious entree. Lamb meatball flatbread is fantastic. Definitely a must grab appetizer. Delicious lamb meatballs on a crispy perfectly cooked dough with fresh cheese and perfectly seasoned. Lamb meatballs on their own is another incredible appetizer, strong lamb taste and the marinara is house made and a perfectly balanced sweet and savory. Onion pull apart bread is very good, a nice bread service although not complimentary. Dipping it in the yogurt sauce with olive oil is creamy and flavorful addition and a quality choice. Lobster spaghetti is incredible. Large pieces of lobster that melt in your mouth and perfectly cooked noodles topped with that house made marinara that was sweet and tangy. A very good dish and a definite recommendation for an entree. Ribeye was delicious. A lime like flavor paired with other seasonings and a perfect cook. This was a fantastic steak and the Veg it was paired with was amazing. I'd highly recommend. The salmon crudo is a great appetizer. Fresh and well flavored it is a perfect light bite to start the meal. The baklava is the special item here. Truly the best I've had and paired with that cold olive oil vanilla ice cream it is a match made in heaven. Crispy, crunchy, soft all in one bite with the warm baklava mixing with that cold melting ice cream it truly is a must order. Absolutely phenomenal. read more

Delicious costal style Mediterranean style fare at this restaurant. Excellently curated Southern European food menu. Friendly & attentive staff. What a great way to celebrate a birthday... Del Mar is an experience. The place is not cheap but it is a great experience. The restaurant has a cool lay out. We had dinner upstairs which was nice - it would be cool to have dinner in their outside seating area in the summer. The environment was just right - not too noisy but not to quiet either - the right amount of light. The staff was AWESOME - our waitress was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious everybody love their choices. The drinks were great. The deserts rocked... Del Mar is a great place for special occasions because it makes it memorable but is a little pricey for just regular dining. read more

When we decided to go to dinner, I found Del Mar on Yelp since it was close by and everyone in my party had not been here before. We all thought it was a little more casual dining, however entering the restaurant soon realized it was not too casual for Mediterranean food. We were seated upstairs. The restaurant was so beautiful inside, it had this tree that made it whimsical. Now onto the food! I ordered Seabass with a side of potatoes and OMG it was so good, I think about this meal all the time. Someone in my party got the lobster spaghetti and I was amazed that it actually looked like a lobster! The service was really great and the ambiance was amazing and the food was superb! read more
Went to Del Mar in Easton again, & this time for Dinner! We sat upstairs & the vibes were just as immaculate on the second floor as they are on the first; I love the aesthetic of this place! The service is top notch! I had to get my favorite starter with the loaded hummus, & the tzatziki was quite tasty as well! The lamb rack was cooked perfectly & the accompaniments it came with made for an incredibly well balanced dish; I highly recommend it! The cocktails were refreshing & I enjoyed the little twist on their old fashioned. Of course, if there's an olive oil cake on the menu at a CMR spot, I have to get it; it's the best way to end a delicious meal! read more

The food and atmosphere is excellent! We enjoyed our drinks and our meals as well as our appetizer, and I highly recommend the lobster pasta and the blueberry tart for dessert! Pros: -Food was great -Presentation & taste -Service was wonderful by Shelby -Location & interior ambiance -Mezza platter for brunch -Cinnamon date bread Cons: -Called ahead and spoke with someone in the kitchen about friend's allergies ahead of time (one being soy and was told only deep fried items were in soy oil); therefore, she ordered frech toast, but at restaurant was informed by server (thankfully) of many other items she could not have due to inclusion of soy oil (i.e., date bread, french toast, etc.) read more
The restaurant is GORGEOUS inside and out, they have a second floor which is where we got seated by the window with a great view. It had a restoration hardware vibe to it. Very very well thought out floor plan and decor. The service was excellent and I would say the ambiance and service 5 star, the food for the price 3 star and that landed me on 4 stars. The Salmon crudo was solid, the lamb meatballs w wouldn't get again, kind of tough or snappy if that makes sense while bland. The mushroom truffle ravioli was awesome, the lobster spaghetti was just ok and at $60 should be really good. Salmon had some small bones in it, the pita was great, we did a few different dips selections and they also were very good. Overall for the price there is a lot of options in the area with a little better food but we will return for the ambiance and enjoy some small plates and drinks but not a full dinner. read more

I never thought I would describe a restaurant at Easton as dreamy... but here we are. Del Mar really makes you feel transported to another place, in the best way. The decor is very summer beach resort. I enjoyed sipping a "Beach Party" spritz cocktail and soaking up the atmosphere. Great people watching and the patio seating is perfect for summer. Downstairs is the main bar area and more buzzy. Upstairs seating is quieter, more romantic, more views overlooking the Easton fountain. The menu standouts were the Mediterranean inspired dishes. We loved the onion bread with creamy feta dip. The salmon entree was perfectly cooked. The roast chicken was a bit tough and not as successful, but the curried carrots on the side were really flavorful. The mocha torte was creamy deliciousness. I have not been the biggest fan of Cameron Mitchell food ventures of late, but they really got this one right. Loved it. read more
Del Mar brunch! The Turkish eggs is an eggs Benedict twist! It was SO good. The prosciutto, poached eggs, and soft bread. The lobster scramble was good but nothing to try again. Service is always a 10/10 with class. I would say their dinner is better than brunch! read more
Another Cameron Mitchell restaurant with delicious food and wonderful service. If the weather is nice, highly recommend sitting upstairs. It's open air but also covered. The drink menu has lots of options, we opted for a beer and a gin and tonic, both were solid. Next we ordered the red pepper hummus and the bacon wrapped figs which we would go back for again and again. We decided to split the Branzino and we substited the roasted squash for the potatoes. The fish was cooked perfectly with wonderful flavors but I could've eaten an entire plate of that squash. read more
Been to the original Short North location and I loved it. So was super excited when I heard that they were moving to Easton location. From the service to the décor to the food was just fantastic. We ordered few things from here and everything was delicious. But my favorite is from the dessert section, the Olive Oil Cake, which is perfection. Its moist and just delicious. Other items that we ordered were the hummas, roasted cauliflower, lobster spaghetti and the snapper. Everything was packed with flavor. Nothing disappointed. Great place to meet up with friends and family or come with a date. Can't wait to go back and try other items from their menu. read more
Del Mar was incredible. The upstairs was awesome. I highly recommend making a reservation for the tabletop up there because the aesthetic is fantastic. Overlooking Easton, this place felt very decadent. The food was fantastic. Everything we ordered was incredible. Great, friendly service. If I'm ever meeting friends at Easton, this will be my first recommendation! read more

Ah, Del Mar... Where the mood is set by upbeat music, elegant vibes, and so much dim lighting you'll need a flashlight to read the menu! Let's start with the food. The jumbo shrimp at $5 per shrimp are impressive--plump, juicy, and flavorful. if you love bold flavors, don't miss the spicy feta--it's got that perfect heat with a creamy finish. If you're a spice lover, you'll be reaching for more pita, which, by the way, is made in-house, warm, thick, and doughy. Yum! Calamari? Thick, crunchy breading. And I mean thick! The garlic aioli was tasty, but the calamari itself was a bit of a letdown--kinda fishy, tough, and chewy. Now, the lobster spaghetti? Absolute winner. The lobster-shaped angel hair pasta was a fun little twist, and the sauce was chef's kiss--rich, flavorful, and the lobster itself was tender. The ribeye was a bit of a bummer, though. Definitely overcooked. The fries were perfect. Crispy with just the right amount of garlic aioli for dipping. Wine? I asked for a glass of Meiomi Pinot Noir and was advised that it was only available by the bottle. I didn't need a bottle so I asked for a glass of wine that was comparable to what I had requested. The twist? They gave me a 9 oz glass of Quilt Cabernet for $45 (the same cost of a bottle of Meiomi Pinot Noir). All in all, Del Mar is a solid choice if you're in the mood for a fun, elegant evening with great vibes and food that can make you overlook the dim lighting (and slightly questionable prices). Would I go back? Absolutely! read more
