    Salmon Caesar
    Cameron D.

Ivar's Seafood used to be a Seattle staple, but unfortunately, it's really gone downhill since becoming a chain. I recently ordered the salmon Caesar, and it was a huge disappointment. The salmon was nuked to hell, and the Caesar salad was just chopped romaine with a side of dressing--nothing else. And for this, I paid $22! For the price point, I don't think this place is worth it anymore. It's a shame because it used to be so good.

Absolutely ridiculous this is nearly $20. $16 without tip for delivery (there's not even a fee). Never ordering again that's for sure, I'll be trying somewhere else. This tray is smaller than my hands (and I have small hands, I'm a woman).

This is a very clean and consistent in food quality and service location. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Service is on point every single time. Thank you Ivar's!

I have heard of Ivar's from the previous visit we had here in Seattle. If I'm not mistaken, they have their flagship restaurant in downtown Seattle. I've asked our local friend if there is a Ivar's branch close by and thankfully, they have one here at Bothell. Entering the local restaurant, I like the clean and bright vibe with clear indications of their menu. We ordered both their Alaska True Cod and Panko Crusted Cod, as well as their Clam Chowder. I love their Alaska True Cod the best. It has a slight crunch outside, but the moist flakey inside is sure a hit. With Seattle dishing out one of the best chowders around, Ivar's is no slouch. The the grander scheme of things, yes Ivar's is a head of the venerable Long John's by quite a margin. All I could remember of Long John's, though good, was its greasiness. None of that can be said at Ivar's as far as I can remember.

    Exterior view

Kind of a fancy fast food vibe. I had the cod which was good (as usual) but the fish portions were tiny. It's a bit of a rip off. The fries that came with it were mediocre. No slaw, nothing else for your $15.

Tried the salmon and chips here as it was highly recommended by family who live in Seattle. We got our order to go. I think this place is best in quality when the food is eaten fresh within the restaurant as most items are fried. The fried salmon was great and a big portion (4 fish strips and fries). The tartar sauce cups provided were great to dip the fish in. The salmon bisque was nice and flavorful, but lacked salt I thought. If in Seattle again, I would try it again.

I ordered for pick up on this late Wednesday evening, with my previous experience I expected up to date, better service or matched. Definitely on the lower scale as of today for accuracy, however, it's stating at 4 stars for the below reason. * I placed a pick up order for a 5 piece Cajun & chips and 5 piece Fish n chips for a friend of mine. Her order came out perfect, crisp and juicy. Mine did as well, however, the amount was incorrect. It was 3 provided instead of 5. HOWEVER. Without asking they did make a new batch of 5 without cost. It's delicious and refreshing with gal around the corner! * The slight spice really adds to the whole experience with my taste buds, nothing overdone all is crisp and perfectly done in my opinion. Even the salad, though small, was the topper of it all! Side Caesar for reference.

Really delicious and light cod. If you dont want the fries i believe you are charged for a substitution, i was. I had the slaw which i really did not like. I had fries on my first visit which were good i would prefer to not always have fries. The staff is really helpful and they have a variety of malt vinegars but everything else comes in packets

The curly haired kid with glasses was an awesome employee. He absolutely went above and beyond to help us decide what we wanted since it was our first visit. We went with the Cajun fish and chips, the clams, a Cesar salad and a cup of chowder. You absolutely don't taste the fish in the fish or the chowder and it's amazing. I've had a lot of fishy tasting food, but this was not the case. Everything was just perfect. From the base of the chowder to the batter on the fish, it was so good we said we will be eating there again. There is lots of seating and clean tables at that. You can easily come here for lunch or dinner and be satisfied.

We planned to order separately, but once we saw that my meal was going to be close to $100, decided to share. It was enough food for two people, but definitely check market prices before you get excited because some seafood are $40+ per lb. The experience itself was fun! We loved getting to make a mess. There was no direction on where to put shrimp tails and other trash and we felt bad putting them on the table, so this was a little funky. The food was great! We left full and happy.

We opted for the combo 3 with atomic sauce. The mild is pretty spicy and medium is spicy ! On a personal note- I found the sauce to be a bit too much on garlic and that the meat wasn't flavored (which makes me think what was the whole point of the bag). We really enjoyed the crab and I think I liked the sausages more . Also tried the beef short ribs which was a good quantity and shareable for two and comes with rice and salad. Ambiance is not bad. We left and never felt compelled to return. A couple days ago, on a lark and searching for some new-to-us takeout to meet our visiting family's lunch needs, we found ourselves again at the Hook. And what we ordered was so good. So. Good. I ordered the salmon burger, a juicy piece of salmon embraced in a toasted bun with simple lettuce, tomato, and mayo along for the ride. Some weeks ago, I'd had a similar sandwich at a reputed spot in Pike Place market. The Hook's was much better, and I have been thinking about ordering it again for two days now. Their fries were also some of the best I've had in town, and I'm not usually excited about fries. My family all had panko-crusted halibut (fish and chips style), and this, too was shockingly good. It was even tasty and crisp as leftovers reheated in the air fryer! (I know, I know, but who is throwing away fish in this economy?) I am but a humble Yelper and have learned my lesson. If, at first, your fish is dry, (maybe) try again!

Sushi Koushi is a tiny spot tucked inside the mall -- the place was pretty clean, nothing too fancy about it. We ordered Green Tea, Unagi Nigiri, Jalapeño Bombs, Dragon Roll, and the Koushi Roll. Let me start by saying -- everything we ordered was pretty amazing! A note: We are a pretty hard family to please when it comes to sushi. So far, we've only had one go-to sushi place for the past five years. This one? Even my daughter loved it. The flavors were beautifully balanced -- nothing was too overpowering. The quantity was more than sufficient for a family of three. Usually at other places, we end up ordering one more roll, but not here! I especially loved the Koushi Roll, which had seared salmon -- absolutely delicious. For the Jalapeño Bombs, we requested they replace the tuna with crab, and it was perfect for our taste buds. Needless to say, my daughter finished most of them! The service was really quick -- we were in and out within 40 minutes, which is impressive for the amount of food we ordered. Overall, a really nice and pleasant experience. Super glad we tried this one out -- highly recommend!
