    Vegan Falafel Sandwich
    Reed B.

The vegan falafel sandwich was really good. The pita bread was soft, the tahini was nice and creamy, the veggies were fresh, and the falafels were crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. I also really liked their gigantic side of crinkle cut fries. Highly recommend this place for vegans and non-vegans alike.

I had a gyro and fries. My son had a Shawarma plate with rice, hummus, and pita. The gyro was reasonably good, well put together. The fries were Excessive, both in fries and quantity. My son told me that he enjoyed the Shawarma but not the hummus. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly. The biggest disappointment is that Yelp says they are inexpensive (one $) but we spent $45 before tip on two lunch meals.

    Chicken Shawarma Plate

Was always wanting to try this place when a coworker said she was ordering, so I had my chance! I ordered the chicken Schawarma plate. It didn't take long to get delivered, and it looked great and was a good amount of food. The hummus had good flavor and consistency and the rice did, too. Although the chicken had good flavor, it was overcooked, very dry, and many pieces were hard to eat without drinking a lot of water. The salad had no dressing on it and tasted plain, but I ended up putting some of everything on my pita bread (fresh and light with just the right texture) and eating it like a taco. I heard from my coworkers that the fries were excellent, so I might try those next time, but I am hesitant about the dry chicken.

Decent Gyro place. They do offer Gyros, plates, Shawarma etc. Tried the gyros - kind of average. Didn't feel any authenticity about the food. Asked for spicy food, but it was just a little more hot sauce poured all over. Nah, nit my type of gyro place. Ambience is good, this place is well maintained. Service was ok. Just one staff during lunch hours. But he was quite fast to get me the food. He was friendly as well. May be I expected a little more after seeing the reviews and rating. A little disappointed with the experience.

I usually go to the evertt location this ones closer to my house. It's not the same.I ordered the beef lamb kabob plate to avoid the gluten. The kabob usually comes cooked with onions and tomatoes I had to remind them at the end of overlooking my food. I asked for no pita that put in in the container on my food now I can't eat it. 30 dollars for nothing. Guess I'll drive 20min away for editable food.

Tray had slimy white and brown and chunks floating in it. Some of this is mold which is unacceptable.

I decided to try Gyro Stop based on good reviews. The food was really good, we had chicken pitas and the greek fries were amazing! Staff was friendly. Why the 2 stars? I can't get past the extremely gross dirty tray under the soda machine.

A good selection of healthy Mediterranean food, arranged like a Subway sandwich shop, with the option to sit down and dine in.

Man, I really want to give 4 stars here, but I just can't quite give it the 4th, unfortunately…read more I had just finished a grueling four days* of working in Puget Sound, which involved a lot of being out and about without knowing where I'd be or what I'd be doing the next hour, so you can imagine how exhausted I was when I came in to order a nice takeout meal for dinner. For whatever reason, I was craving Mediterranean food, and when I was searching for Mediterranean food in the Bothell area, where I was going to be spending the next couple of days afterwards, this restaurant showed up third on the list! As I was looking through the menu, I noticed their main cuisine is Indian cuisine, yet they also served Mediterranean food, which I thought was intriguing, yet a little dubious as I believe that a restaurant serving a multitude of cuisines could subject themselves to being spread too thin in their kitchen. I had looked at their menu beforehand and had decided to get the Gyro Platter, Butter Masala with Chicken, and the Goat Biryani, hoping the Goat would also mean "Greatest of All Time." I also got some butter and garlic naan to go with the meal. When I came in, Azmat was there to serve me. He had such a pleasant and calming demeanor that I wish the quality of the food would have matched that of his level of service. After reciting my order to him, he mentioned it would take 15 to 20 minutes for my order to be ready. I was sitting in a seat by the front door while several other customers came in to pick up their online orders. I thought about ordering online, but realized it would have cost a few dollars extra to do so, hence why I decided to go there in person to order. After 10 minutes, a server noticed me sitting there and offered to assist. I knew it was early, so there wasn't much she could do at this point. 15 minutes later, an employee came from the back to hand me my takeout order while apologizing for the long wait. Well, not too bad of an extended wait though. But what was too bad was the two Indian dishes that I ordered. Neither the Goat Biryani nor the Butter Masala really left any impression whatsoever. They definitely didn't taste bad, but I felt the flavors in both were quite muted. I did like the Gyro Platter better, though, but I wouldn't say it was as good as other Mediterranean spots I've been to in SoCal. The Naan breads didn't leave any impression either; I would have guessed it was just plain Naan bread. For a fraction of the cost, I'm sure you could go to one of Safeway, Fred Meyer, or even QFC for a pack of plain Naan bread that would taste almost as good. Bay Leaf Bar & Grill is located at the base of the Junction Apartments next to McMenamins Anderson School. There's plenty of parking closer to the school, but parking adjacent to Bay Leaf is quite scarce. There's a wide bike path that almost looks like a sidewalk, but is wide enough for cars to drive through. There are a few on-street parking spots directly in front, but right before these spots, there's an alleyway that has a few parking spots albeit 15 minutes only. Some of the spots are reserved for McMenamins, but I do remember the first one not having any mention of McMenamins. I wouldn't mind coming back if I wanted a taste of both Mediterranean and Indian in the same meal, especially since the interior looked so fancy and well-maintained! However, if I wanted just one or the other, I'd look elsewhere next time I'm visiting the area. Overall, 7 stars out of 10, but rounded down. * My visit was back in November of 2025; I had gone on a hiatus from posting reviews, hence the rather last post.

The moment we walked in, we were greeted with free samples (hummus, baba ganoush, Turkish delight... yes please) and the kindest hospitality. The owner actually came over and chatted with us, shared where he's from, and even offered us Turkish coffee and Moroccan mint tea, which instantly reminded me of my trip to Morocco. We ordered the lamb gyro, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's one of the best I've had in Seattle. Super flavorful, generously portioned, and just hits the spot. Also ended up buying couscous, harissa, fig jam, and olives from the store section, everything felt really authentic. Special shoutout to Hiba for being so warm and welcoming! Honestly, this place feels less like a store and more like a community spot. If you're in Seattle, don't skip this, come for the food, stay for the people.

Safeway has coupons for $2 off any entree or salad and $5 off $20 or more for Mediterranean Oasis…read moreon the back of their receipts. There's no other terms on them that specify what qualifies for the coupons. I've had no previous issues redeeming the $2 off any entree coupon on items off their menu. However, one day the worker at that moment decided he wanted to be slimy over a tiny $3 difference and said the gyro platter ISN'T an entree. He was pushing to upsell me to use the $5 off $20 coupon and kept saying the $2 off is only for items in the deli case. I probably should have walked away, but I was hungry and already there, so I agreed to get upsold and added baklava ($5+, but $6+ after taxes) to my order to reach $20+. I should have just ordered only the gyro platter because I wasn't saving any money at all at that point. The baklava wasn't that great because it wasn't even fresh. I've also had hard pieces of rice in my meal before. I don't think that's the standard? Basically this place is a hit or miss depending on who's working that day.
