I'm a regular customer here and I usually order through DoorDash for pickup, so I've gotten familiar with the usual team. Today, I noticed there were new faces at the counter, and I'm not sure if there was a staff turnover. I truly hope this won't affect the service and, most importantly, the quality of the food because that's one of the reasons I keep coming back. My scheduled pickup time today was 11:10 AM. I arrived at 11:00 AM and even brought back the same bag they provided with my previous order. There were already 3 people waiting. Unfortunately, by 11:15 AM, my order was still not ready -- this is now the second time this has happened. I understand that things can get busy, but pickup times matter, especially for customers who pre-order because they have somewhere to be. I had a work meeting to attend, which is why I placed my order ahead of time. My order was finally ready at 11:30 AM -- 20 minutes after the scheduled pickup time. This delay was the main reason for my 1-star review. I also noticed that the sauce portions have gotten smaller compared to before. I hope the team can take this feedback seriously because I really enjoy the food here and would like to continue supporting this place. I just hope the consistency in service, portions, and overall experience improves. read more

Came here by accident while waiting near a comic bookstore, and wow, what a find. This place is part grocery store, part bakery, part restaurant, and somehow does all three really well. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with free samples (hummus, baba ganoush, Turkish delight... yes please) and the kindest hospitality. The owner actually came over and chatted with us, shared where he's from, and even offered us Turkish coffee and Moroccan mint tea, which instantly reminded me of my trip to Morocco. We ordered the lamb gyro, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's one of the best I've had in Seattle. Super flavorful, generously portioned, and just hits the spot. Also ended up buying couscous, harissa, fig jam, and olives from the store section, everything felt really authentic. Special shoutout to Hiba for being so warm and welcoming! Honestly, this place feels less like a store and more like a community spot. If you're in Seattle, don't skip this, come for the food, stay for the people. read more

Safeway has coupons for $2 off any entree or salad and $5 off $20 or more for Mediterranean Oasis on the back of their receipts. There's no other terms on them that specify what qualifies for the coupons. I've had no previous issues redeeming the $2 off any entree coupon on items off their menu. However, one day the worker at that moment decided he wanted to be slimy over a tiny $3 difference and said the gyro platter ISN'T an entree. He was pushing to upsell me to use the $5 off $20 coupon and kept saying the $2 off is only for items in the deli case. I probably should have walked away, but I was hungry and already there, so I agreed to get upsold and added baklava ($5+, but $6+ after taxes) to my order to reach $20+. I should have just ordered only the gyro platter because I wasn't saving any money at all at that point. The baklava wasn't that great because it wasn't even fresh. I've also had hard pieces of rice in my meal before. I don't think that's the standard? Basically this place is a hit or miss depending on who's working that day. read more

First of all, the food was absolutely fire. The lamb plate is just so well done, completely different from the overcooked or tough lamb you'll find in other restaurants. Not to mention the portion size, very good amount of meat. The space is beautiful and full of personality, you can really feel the vibe as soon as you enter. Super cute little cafe and store for mediterranean food and treats. I went in specifically to see if they had some sundried tomatoes not in oil, but they just had the kind in oil. Oh well, I still found plenty of things that interested me. Specifically a cheese stuffed filo dough ring in the freezer section. We baked that up and made a big salad and it was a tasty meal. I also got some crackers and a nice sized package of sumac - it's a great place for spices. Next time I'd like to get honey, pistachio croissants, and more tasty things from the freezer section. read more

I finally got to try this place in person. Last time we ordered was during Covid on the Yelp Dine In night. This time we went and ate inside. The place is spacious with a store on one side and a restaurant on the other. Both have ample room and offerings and super friendly staff. We ate an early dinner here. I had the Gyro Platter and my companions had the Chicken Schwarma Platter, a Chicken Gyro Sandwich and we bought a Chicken Kebab Plate home for our daughter. After our meal, we wandered over to the store and browsed and bought a few items. Our meals were served quickly and prepared in the open kitchen behind the counter. We took the short wait time to look around and had some of the free mint tea offered at the well supplied condiments/accompaniments area. Our dishes were served to our table by the friendly manager/cook/cashier/store staff member who was always smiling. Nice guy. The food was tasty and fresh and what we wanted. I would have liked to have complimentary lentil soup as other similar restaurants we attend do but, alas, not this time. The deli and store portion of the business was well stocked with products from the Middle East and Europe and there was even a butcher counter in the back of the business. I was impressed by the variety of items and intrigued by things unknown to me before seeing them there. We bought a few things to take home from this part of the store including their awesome Hummus in two varieties! They make lots of things fresh here such as the pitas and aforementioned hummus. I will definitely return here in the future mostly for the store items and welcoming staff. read more

Mediterranean Oasis is a lovely new addition under its new ownership. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care--everything we tried felt authentic and satisfying. Beyond the restaurant, the shop is nicely stocked with a great selection of Mediterranean staples and specialty items that are hard to find elsewhere. The space feels welcoming, and you can tell the owners are passionate about both the food and the community. Another cool Mediterranean spot in the near north end. I loved that I could get a hot meal and then do some shopping as well. The gyro I got was solid, enjoyed it immensely, and the guys in the kitchen were a hoot! It was tasty and perfectly filling. I loved the market too, but I think the time I was there they were due for a shipment to come in so it was a bit sparse, but definitely coming back to check that out more. We got beef and lamb gyros and they were amazing! The bread was fresh and soft but was structurally stable enough not to disintegrate under the weight of the very generous portion of meat. Veggies tasted fresh. The meat was tender and moist but not greasy. Will definitely keep this spot in mind for the future! Half the property is the kitchen and seating (5-10 tables), and the other half contains a small Mediterranean/middle eastern grocery. The prices in the grocery store seems reasonable by my estimation, and the aisles are clean and well organized. They have a small selection of halal meats in the freezer case including some cuts (mostly lamb) that are harder to obtain at a regular grocery store. read more

Temperatures are rising today on the Fourth of July and knew I wouldn't want to cook anything hot tonight. So I headed to the Mediterranean Oasis for lunch. The first thing you notice is a table with free samples of food. This was really hard to resist, because I have had these samples before and they are delicious. I eat too many. But I was hungry for kebabs and had to restrain as I didn't want to spoil my appetite. There is also an inflatable Gyro gentle man ballon, beckoning you in to try a Swarma. All attractive. My late husband was Moroccan, so I do enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine. For me, the things that stand out here are first, how fresh the food is. Just baked pitas, a big variety of freshly made dips, desserts and baked items. Second, the grocery items that you can purchase to take home, including halal meat. Third, the welcome you get coming here. I came in with a slightly sad mood. Hot, tired and hungry. They welcomed me profusely and checked up on me often. I ordered the Adana kebab, as I had had this in Istanbul. The who helped me, informed me that Adana was a city in Turkey, which I had not known. A touch of Turkey in Shoreline? A real blessing. The wait for my kebab was about ten minutes. So, I looked around the grocery store part as I waited. They offer my friend , Mustafa Haddouche brand of authentic Moroccan harrisa. The gentleman at the register also said his name was Mustafa when I showed him the display. My food arrived quickly. The Adana kebab was a large serving of grilled spiced meat, tomato and peppers, feta cheese and cucumber salad, hot fresh pita bread, hummus and a lovely garlic sauce. Combine these all to make a delicious burst of flavor sandwich bite. Spiced rice comes with this, with a hint of the sweeter Middle Eastern spices. For 22.00, there was so much food I couldn't eat it all. Oh, but how much I wanted to order more; their pistachio baklava. Their macarons. Their palmers. Their hot dog pitas. Their meat pitas. Too full to do so. They do offer complimentary Moroccan mint tea. My one criticism, the tea was not minty or sweet enough. As I could not finish my large portion, the kind cook took my plate and bagged it up for me. I had a great and inexpensive experience here. Recommend coming here for a good meal. read more

The "platter" was supposed to include rice, hummus, and pita, but when I got home, there was only falafel and salad, nothing else, no rice, no hummus, no pita, and the tahini sauce was very watery. read more

We were craving Mediterranean food in the north end and stumbled across Med Oasis. The staff were so accommodating and friendly! I saw a picture here on Yelp of humus with meat but didn't see it on the menu. The staff asked the head chef if he could make it and sure enough he accommodated my request. We ordered the humus and meat and the mixed grill. Seriously - just give me a platter of the mixed grill meat and a vat of humus and baba ganoush so I can bathe in it! Meat was succulent and tender - amazingly spiced - and moist and juicy. If you're craving a quick, Mediterranean bite, Med Oasis is your place. And I loved that the management came to check on us and made sure everything was to par. It was. We will be back. read more

I've been to this Mediterranean restaurant and market quite a few times now - and it's fantastic! The food is incredibly fresh and delicious. The staff, possibly the owners, are incredibly friendly and generous, often giving us little extras. The market carries items that remind my boyfriend of home, which is a nice touch. Their baklava is the best I've ever had, and the baba ganoush is perfect--not overly acidic, which I appreciate as I'm very picky about it. The falafel is fresh, crispy, and never dry. The pita is also made fresh! I highly recommend dining in for the best experience. The place is no frills, very clean and they offer complimentary tea. While delivery is convenient, the food truly shines when enjoyed fresh in person. Regarding negative reviews about delivery issues or specific ingredients like pickles--please address delivery concerns with the service provider, not the restaurant. It's unfair to rate such a hardworking establishment poorly for these reasons. Rating someone 2 or 3 stars over some pickled veggies in your salad is just petty. I always get too excited and forget to take pictures of my food, but will try to make it a point to next time and include some in my review! read more

My whole experience here was amazing! I let myself get too hungry Saturday around lunch and figured this would be a fast easy place to stop off and I'm SO GLAD I DID! Mo was behind the counter and helped me narrow down what to order. I was lucky enough to be there while they were making all of their fresh pitas so my lamb shawarma was PERFECT. Mo even brought me a fresh plain one to try and told me the sell bags of them to go! I bought a bag to share with my buddies later and everyone was impressed (and jealous). The fries were excellent. Perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. I was at the restaurant when it was a little slower, they were getting ready for the next rush, so Mo invited me back to see their pita making operation and gave me a tour! The kitchen was clean, organized and I was able to meet some of the hardest working folks back there making HUNDREDS of pitas. I also took some baklava home with me to share with my mom. She was delighted! Wonderfully flakey and sticky with honey. Exactly the way it should be. Don't miss out on this place! It's not super visible from the road so I'm not sure I would have spotted it under normal circumstances. Definitely a hidden gem. The portions aren't huge for the sandwiches, but that was ideal for me so I could eat all my fries. Plus the prices are super reasonable for a meal. I have dinner at this place with some friends several times. The place is a large grocery store with a full kitchen and tables to set and eat. I can say that this is the only real shawarma place in the Northwest. They use the shawarma machines to cook the shawarma and they even bake their own fresh bread for sandwiches. I tried the beef shawarma , the falafel and the humus. All were truly amazing and delicious. Good prices and generous portions. The owners and staff are very friendly too. I wish this place was closer to Kirkland but it definitely worth the drive when I have time. Very delicious food. read more

The food may be fine but we had a bad experience with ordering. We placed an order online through their website on a Friday evening around 730. When we arrived for pickup the restaurant was closed, sign said they should have been open, a few other patrons were outside like us. No note on the door We tried to resolve with their online platform and they said the company was non responsive. So we had to dispute it with my Amex to get a refund. Maybe something happened emergency wise and I don't want to be insensitive to that but the lack of resolve left me not happy. I won't go again read more
