My nails were done well and rather meticulously but my cuticle on my left big toe was dug WAY too deep into which triggered a lot of pain about two days following. About a week later, this was followed by swelling and the skin around my cuticle peeling. Ultimately, it was an infection that needed neosporin and oral antibiotics. I was in a rush, but to my surprise, this spot was a HIT! KUDOS to nail tech, Vicky (woot woot). She shaped my nails PERFECTLY, gently pushed my cuticles down (not cut), paid thorough attention to all requests (i'm sorta picky about nail shape & cuticle pushing-not clipping ) and she administered thee best/super relaxing massage. The shop was tidy, had comfy chairs, stations were clean, the staff was super polite. I paid appx $80 (includes 20% tip for natural nail mani + pedi + combo that included: paraffin/clay mask/extra massage time w/ coconut oil/fruity scrub for both hands and feet). All worth it for freshly groomed nails, unwinding massage + time it took to have it all done (out the door w/in 75 minutes). Overall, a solid experience. read more

This is an overpriced nail shop for my taste for a basic average nail salon job, I usually pay between $30-$35 to get a fill because I have long acrylic nails. But they charged me $40 because i asked to keep my coffin shape with gel color nails. So they charge extra for shape now, ok. Me and my mom went for fills and pedicure. Walked out the door paying $114 for two fills and two pedicures. The lady who did my toes left paint on my toes, I don't complain but if you can't see the paint YOU left on my skin than I don't see why I should ASK you to clean up your work. They give you a list of pedicure options well you DO NOT HAVE TO pick one of those pedicures which starts at $23 (they are slick). Me and my mom were like "just to do a regular pedicure" =$18 each, but you still get a hot towel - cool. During my fill the lady cuts me and I even say "ouch" immediately pulled my hand back a little. The lady gets my hand and rubs the finger she burned with that spinning tool. (I HATE GETTING CUTS/BURNS!) Also I choose 4 different colors and the lady got frustrated with me because the colors I wanted. I told her one color on this nail and one color on this nail and she took a deep breathe and even sighed! Left with gel polish on my the side of my finger, nail powder around my nails and a nice burn/cut on my thumb and pinky. The lady kept pulling my hand because I getting a pedicure at the same time. DON'T GO THERE, SAVE YOUR MONEY. They have one of the worst costumer service I ever seen. At first they're really nice, gentle, and understanding but then, when you point something that you don't like, they start to be rude at you. They're usually say: "I'll fix it later" and next they talk to the other employees in their language while given you nasty looks. I mean WTF! Anyway when it comes "acrylic nails removal" they don't use acetone, just a regular nail clipper and tweezers. When you ask for acetone, they just look at you and be like: "It's okay like this, it's much faster and easier" I mean WHATZZZZ! Horrible experience. Horrible place. I have two nail spots.. one i go to by my job in West Covina, then IShine by my house. This nail salon is super clean and Covid friendly. I've been coming to this place for years, and though they did have to raise their prices during Covid, people should remember that we need to support our local small businesses (especially nail salons) at this time. They are doing a lot to protect themselves and also us, that requires buying ppe, sanitizers and extra equipment for safety precautions. Love Rose! UPDATE: It has been two days since our visit and two of us have developed infections in our feet from nail techs literally cutting skin from around our toes (not cuticle cutting) and then putting our feet back to soak in water that had been sitting. I have limited sensation in my feet and noticed swelling around my nail beds. I had a culture taken by my doctor and I am now taking a strong dose of Ciprofloxacin (a Fluoroquinolone antibiotic) for infection. I develop ingrown toenails quite easily due to delicate skin and I can already see where this is going to be a problem. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Mixed review here. We made an appointment for 4 for some Much needed relaxation during a difficult time in our family. The nail techs were all very nice and our pedicure experience was pleasant. The salon itself is nice inside and feels comfortable. My experience during the pedicure was very nice. So, I am sorry for the 1-Star review, but I feel the following parts of my experience were so negative that it over powered all of the good things. We selected our pedicure services and picked our colors from the nail polish bottles available. Half way through our pedicure we were all "offered" gel polish and then pushed repeatedly to choose the gel until it really didn't feel like an option. I said I had already picked a nail polish and they said yes. There was no mention of the price change for the gel polish. The nail tech picked up several more bottles of polish which included a similar, not not the SAME bottle of polish that I had picked out. In fact, the coloring is off just enough that I don't like the way it looks at all now that I've seen it in the sun. When I went to pay, we were charged a extra $15 EACH (a total of $60) for a service that we admittedly did not want and were pushed into without agreeing to a price change. I chose a $33 pedicure and paid $48 and that is dishonest business. If you want to push your customers to upgrade like lots of other businesses I get that, but be clear about the price increase and accept "no" for an answer. As a business professional, there is more value in a few loyal returning clients that will bring family and friends with them over time than a dozen $15 upgrades on customers who will never come back. I would have definitely brought some family back here but I would rather go to a salon I feel I can trust. read more
