After many years of going to this salon for a simple manicure I must honestly say I will never go back again.... I am currently at Cedar Sinai with a nasty foot infection from a pedicure that I received last Saturday. What makes this so ironic is I was here a year ago for the same thing from the same salon. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Clearly the issue is with cleanliness in their pedicure tubs.... They were really sweet. I will admit I came in almost an hour and a half before they were gonna close and I got a full set but there weren't many people inside. So I went in with another person and I let them get seated first then I waited for about an hour. Let me just say that I have short nails cause I bite on them so I know it's harder for them to do my nails. The lady finally seated me but she took one look at my nail and didn't come back to tell me anything and just left me there to wait again for 30mins. Finally another lady finish another client and apologized for the wait. I respect that she apologize. Like I said they were really sweet. Anyways so my set was basic I wanted coffin shaped to a medium-long length. But these do not look like the nails I wanted. Today, I went in to get a reg pedi and full set and had the chance to meet the new owner, crystal. Prices went up that's forsure. $23 classic spa pedis and $28 for a full white tip set. I didn't mind the price because I know that anywhere now a Days is a lot pricier than back in the days. So my pedi came out okay. As far a my white tip full acrylic set, Very unsatisfied. My nails look choppy and so when I ask crystal the owner of the shop why it looked like that she specifically stated, "DONT LOOK AT THEM SO CLOSELY" and I still payed and gave them a tip. JUST DOMT GO THERE. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. $55 TOTAL IS WHAT I PAYED. &She didn't even bother to try to help fix them or anything. . . . I did end up returning the next day to get them fixed. Unfortunately, Cristal was not in. Thankfully her husband was. I told him what happened and why I did not like them. He understood, put white nail polish on top of the entire nail and that made me a happy customer. read more

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because Denise & the rest of the girls aren't at fault for Mindy's extremely rude attitude. My sister is home from spring break from UCSC & we love Dennis. She's awesome, she does a great job all the time & she's always so friendly & sweet. Anyway, my sister called & said she wanted 3 pedicures with Denise, Mindy was the one who picked up the phone and said okay.. We get there & Mindy tells us Dennis can only take one that somebody else can take the other 2. Her attitude was just unnecessary I told my sister to go ahead and go since she's only here a week I can always come back. My sister got done & Denise kindly took my brother & I as well. She felt bad about the way things were handled, and it wasn't her fault. Overall, the place is pretty clean. The staff for the most part are great. You do have to pay an extra $1.00 if you're using a card. I also highly recommend buying your own little set of tools and taking them with you when you do come get services done. read more

First time going here and I'd have to say nice people but I wasn't happy with my nails. I got a pedi and mani I requested an ombré almond shaped. Showed him the picture and he said ok. After he painted like 3 fingers I was like that's not the color I wanted it's not the same like the picture. He said this is the style now and it will look nice after so after he was all done not only was it not the color I wanted I didn't get the almond shaped for some of my fingers on top of that they were so thick and so far from my cuticles. Then again moving out here to Riverside I can never find a decent nail shop that actually does a great job just average amateurs. read more

I was the first and only customer here today. I came in for a pedicure and the tech showed me to my seat. I tired to turn on the massage chair and the tech told me the chair doesn't work. Instead of moving me to a chair that actually works she starts working on my feet At first I didn't wanna make a big deal about it but then I'm sitting here thinking to myself "wow I'm the only customer in here and she sits me in a chair that doesn't work". After not being able to control my thoughts I asked another lady "are you the owner"? She says "yes" so I expressed to her how it didn't make any sense that I was sat in a broken chair when they have 6 other chairs that are not being used. Instead of her apologizing or trying to fix the situation she made up the excuse that the chair broke yesterday and the tech working on my feet didn't speak English. I said "I understand the chair broke yesterday but why would you sit me in a broken chair"? "And the tech spoke well enough English to tell me the chair doesn't work". (Still no apology just excuses) Never will I ever come back here!!!!! read more

Honestly I wanted to give this place a shot but I'm pretty dissatisfied. Had an appointment at 9am and they didn't finish taking my acrylics and doing a gel manicure until two hours later.. The nail tech that did my nails was very sweet but she told me she didn't do manicures she does pedicures but the nail tech was running late so she was going to do my nails. I should have known the moment she told me this wasn't going to end well. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she just couldn't get it down. She redid the tips multiple times..and I told her I'd wait for the one nail tech that knew how to do nails but she refused to do it for me because she was busy. So I ended up with just the white tip...Very disappointed.. would go somewhere else if I were you. read more

I really didn't want to write a review because I don't know how to make them short but here we go. Btw this is my first and last time coming here Pros: they serve alcohol ( maybe to get you tipsy enough so you won't see the horrible job they are doing) I did not have alcohol I had water. The wait was short (maybe because no one visits their shop Cons: I went in for a mani ( gel) & pedi ( regular) . During my pedi the lady kept putting my dead skin that she took off my cuticles onto my toes, why ????? And then pointing it out to me saying "look". I get my toes done every two months I know about dead skin. So imagine you're getting your toes done with your old dead skin on top of all of your toes in a pile . Smh . Every other place I go to wipes it on the towel Most of the technicians are old , really old and this showed when one of them passed out while doing someone's nails . Yes she was sitting !!! One of them passed out & fell to the ground! No one went to pick her up . Eventually she got up & continued to do the ladies nails . But you wouldn't guess what happen after !!! She started working on my mani !!! I didn't realize it was her until my fingers started hurting because she was using that cuticle cutting tool all crazy . She was cutting my skin in places that wasn't even around my nail. For examlple: under my finger !! Mind you I have great skin I'm told by every nail technician ( including them) & masseuse that I have great skin so she had no reason to be down there . She would cut a piece of cuticle half way then leave it there, hanging . So, I guess they know she isn't that good so she only does the prep and then someone else polishes . Crystal does my polish but she is so caught up in her phone that she didn't add the top coat to one of my nails ( remember I got Gel) and without the top coat the gel is pointless . I didn't realize this until an hour later while at target. I'm not going back to have her fix it . I'm annoyed & my fingers hurt so bad from all the hanging skin I have around my nails. I've been going to this nail salon ever since Mindy opened it years ago. She is by far the best manicurist ever. She recently sold the business to Crystal. The new owners are rude, overpriced and do a terrible job. Crystal has been late opening the shop at least four times ( I make my appointments first thing in the morning) and her excuse was "I have children". I've made appointments with her for my daughter and she kept us waiting for over 40 minutes before she finally showed up and then expected us to wait another 40 minutes. The one time Mindy was out, Crystal did my nails and they were horrible, lumpy and crooked. Don't waste your money or time! read more
