First time here to enjoy $11 Banh Mi - Lemongrass BBQ Pork. Delicious!
    Teri C.

Checked out Iron Pan on a Saturday night... for a light dinner. Located in Moili'ili... among those eateries along South King St. across from Old Stadium Park. Parking available - first hour free. Simple dining area to enjoy your meal. We came for their recommended Banh mi. $11 each - 4 kinds to choose from... got the Lemongrass BBQ Pork Banh Mi. Food prepared in the back room... worth the wait (lots of take-out orders). Took my first bite... bread is warm with a nice crunch and filling was delicious - yummy pork joos oozed down my hand. Wow... it's GOOD. Will def return... maybe try their unfamiliar Signature Skillet since it's in their shop's name (need video to show how to enjoy). I grew up eating Banh Mi from Ba-Le (hard to find now)... Iron Pan's Banh Mi stands out and def priced right. Ended up getting a 3rd one to go.

Despite the tight shared parking, this place deserves a try if you want a delicious, affordable bahn mi sandwich. For $11 (8-28-26) you get a decent sized crispy sandwich. We had the lemongrass pork and spec bahn mi. Bot had adequate amounts of veggies and cilantro. We liked that the jalapeños were served on the side. Both sandwiches were tasty, and the special had a very rich patê on the bottom. The brown coffee was very smooth and came in a cool takeout cup with a cap for the sipping hole. Service was polite and friendly. Not much atmosphere here, but it is a small shop. Good to see them providing some VN food options for the neighborhood. They don't serve phô, but they do have VN beef stew and some sizzling pan dishes. It's worth a try!

We were in town and looking for a place to have lunch. My wife found Iron Pan on Instagram so we decided to give them a try. Lots of parking and first hour is free!! Vietnamese food, kinda small place with a welcoming vibe. The girl behind the counter was very nice. Both my wife and I was hungry for a good Banh Mi sandwich. I'm trying to loose weight. LOL We were happy at our choice for the Lemongrass BBQ pork Banh Mi. The bread was nice and crispy the vegetables refreshing and the pork had a very nice flavor. My drink was the Island Breeze. Lychee with peach, very refreshing!! If you're in town or visiting the islands give Iron Pan a try.

Iron Pan is located across the old stadium park. There's one hour free parking. There are about 8 tables. We really like that it's open at 7am everyday. It was surprisingly busy at 8am. Most people seem to be ordering the banh mi. We ordered the house special beef stew ($19.95) and the house special banh mi ($11 - a really good price!). The beef stew had lots of tender chunks of meat in a tasty sauce. It's served with their warm bread. The bread is so good - fluffy soft inside and crusty, crunchy outside. You may want to buy another one to mop up all the sauce. The bread also made the sandwich a real winner. I did find this sandwich was a bit messy. It was unusually "juicy", maybe it was the mayo, but still delicious. We need to go back for the sizzling iron pan. It looks like a must-try experience.

Iron Pan Hawaii, when I first saw Iron Pan listed on Yelp, I never though this place was Vietnamese but I think I get why the name of the business. Iron Pan is a new Vietnamese spot on King St. (across Stadium Park & right next to Kozo Sushi) known for the sizzling skillets like on a Iron Pan & Banh Mi They are open early from 7 am, perfect for trying out Vietnamese style breakfast on a skillet. I've never tried this style at all but brings memories of my momma when she would cook her eggs sunny side up with some cold cuts and eat them with white bread or french bread. I would love to/plan try one of the different signature skillets on my next visit. I placed my order on Door Dash for pick up, very nice and new place, my order was ready when I arrived. My order: 2 banh mi and side of meatballs. The signature meatball Banh mi for my brother and house special Banh mi for me & a side meatball to add to my salad the next day. I like that they pack the pickled veggies separate from the Banh mi and they have sides of cold cut, meatballs, meats, available to purchase for that extra protein. & the verdict: my brother texted me " thank me for lunch and he said is was very good!" I enjoyed my Banh mi, never had Banh mi for the longest time and it hit the spot. That first few bites took me back to a that popular sandwich shop at San Jose, yums! Although the bread is not as crisp and crispy, I loved the toppings and everything that was in that sandwich, so fresh! There are tiny bits of boiled egg in there, first time eating a Banh mi with egg in it, unique. The size of the Banh mi, is bigger in size than some some other Banh Mi shop I get elsewhere. The signature meatballs was so tasty, sure enjoyed with my salad the next day. I am so glad they have /offer this for their Banh Mi, I only see them available at shops in Orange County. * If you are looking for a chicken Banh mi, they don't have any chicken available, I wanted to get an a sandwich for my friend who only eats chicken. Besides Banh mi & Iron Pan- they have their house special beef stew and specialty drinks available. Come one, come all and support this nice, new, hot, business that just opened in June of 2026!

Iron Pan, I'm a fan! This place is really good! It was a summer Saturday night and I had a spectacular sizzling skillet. It had lemongrass pork, eggs, corn, and a few other things. The lemongrass seasoning on the pork was perfect! Just the right blend of flavors. I also had the beef stew special, which was also delicious! The beef stew comes in a broth with lots of tender meat. Both items came with a warm baguette that was nicely crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also enjoyed a coffee so I would be able to stay up all night watching Netflix with my energetic companion. I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you find yourself in need of nom noms in the Moiliili area!

I love and appreciate that Iron Pan opens so early! I visited close to 8AM this morning. I wondered if Iron Pan would have their food offerings ready, and they did! Iron Pan is located next to Lunar Tea on King Street. The restaurant is much larger inside than it appears externally. Plenty of seating for dine-in guests. Free parking at the lot. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our strong yet sweet "brown coffee," which is their coffee with condensed milk. We shared a lemongrass bbq pork Banh mi. The bread was crispy and light. The pork was saucy and sweet. Loved the pickled daikon and carrots. The jalapeños were not spicy, and the cilantro elevated the sandwich. I think they offer the cheapest Banh mi! Only $11. We will definitely be back to try their more specialized skillets next time. The staff were exceptionally friendly and sweet. The food was made fresh but came out quickly. The chef even asked if we wanted the sandwich cut in half. How thoughtful! Be sure to support this new local business in town! Tip: Use cash or a debit card. 3% surcharge on credit cards.

They had me at 7am... That is how early they open and yes they sure did! Not only do they serve coffee but I was also able to order take out as well woohoo! It's usually fast food breakfast at this time of day but it's so nice to have another option that's freshly made versus bringing leftover from the night before so seeing that they have Banh Mi I was just so excited. Lemongrass BBQ Pork it was though their signature seems like a sizzling skillet thus name Iron Pan Banh Mi was the perfect thing to enjoy before work to get my morning going. They were still very freshly painting the outside so I waited outside while I placed my order where they also have coffee, matcha and refreshers for drinks all my kinda favorite sips I just had to try their Coconut Brown Coffee Ube Foam it wasn't too sweet or strong but a nice and refreshing sip while the sandwich was quite huge and could only eat half as it was filled generously with meat and veggies I loved it with the soft yet crusty fresh bread. All was made fast and efficient I loved this fresh option and know that here I can come and enjoy my morning with a healthy and fresh start. Thank you!

Takeout - lemongrass BBQ pork Banh Mi... and complimentary soft drink until 6.24.26

Lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... It was around 2:30pm and I hadn't eaten yet. I remembered a relatively new business called Iron Pan and wondered how it was... I drove over to Old Stadium Square where parking is free for the first hour. Inside, it was empty because the sign said that they're closed between 2pm and 4pm. The workers said that they're not closed and asked me to sit anywhere. The cozy interior was clean and comfortable. I ordered the Galaxy Night drink. It had strawberry, and lychee lemonade with blue citrus. I liked it because it was refreshingly fruity! I had the House Special Beef Stew with banh mi. The Stew was a bit spicy, but I ate all of the bread by dipping it into the broth. The beef, carrots, and onion were tender! I also ordered a takeout lemongrass BBQ pork banh mi. I took the slices of jalapeño out and enjoyed the pickled veggies in the sandwich. The pork was delicious! I was given two complimentary cans of soft drinks for their Grand Opening promotion. It ends of 6.24.26, so hurry over!

"Another new kid on the block" "Iron Pan" is the newest Vietnamese type cafe that focuses on a limited but interesting number of selections. They focus on three areas: 1) sizzling skillet specialties 2) coffee & refreshing beverage variations 3) Banh Mi sandwiches Because I decided to do take out I focused on the Banh Mi options. I bought the meatball banh mi and the House Special Banh Mi. Both Banh Mi offerings were quite tasty although the bread was not quite as crusty as I would have liked. (More my preference) The pickled veggies tasted great the meats went well in the sandwiches although some small parts were a little tough. Taken as a whole, they were enjoyable. I am definitely going to go back for the skillets and will do so when I have time to do a sit down with one of their beverage selections. Especially since summer is here, the cool beverage offerings looked good. They are housed in the same bldg as Kozo Sushi, the first hour of parking is free. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, they are off to a good start. They are offering free canned beverages with purchase for a few days. The grand opening was June 9. No Pho here, but still some nice selections to check out.

AI generated photo recommendation for tray placement and efficiency improvement to food serving
    Stephanie T.

Upon arrival, I noticed there was a lot of parking (first hour free) and their AI generated photos in their windows. They have an opening promotion of a free soft drink with an order of their pans. It was empty and dead when we came in but soon all tables were filled! We ordered a classic pan, deluxe pan, ube foam brown coffee, and Vietnamese coffee. The pans came with a side salad that looked so minimal. Both pans had pâté, mayo, Vietnamese meat loaf or cha, eggs, and marinated meat that was so chewy and not so tender. Big difference is that the deluxe pan came with really good Vietnamese meat balls and more eggs. The sauce on the pan was delicious! Sweet, tangy, peppery, and the right amount of saltiness. The meal also included baguette that was crunchy and crispy outside and fluffy inside. PERFECT! My Vietnamese coffee expert said the coffee was underwhelming. The aroma of the coffee creamer they use overpowers the true flavor of rich Vietnamese coffee. My coffee--ube foam brown coffee--was sweet! I unfortunately am nitpicky so I also wanted to share about tray placement and offer an improvement. When the tray was placed in front of me, I noticed the handle would stab my sternum every time I leaned in. And the salad looks so lonely and little off tray. I generated an AI pic of my recommendation for placing everything on the tray. Hope that helps!

This is a hidden gem! Heard of this place multiple times- now I'm finally able to check it out! I like eateries with a small menu, it usually means they hone in on their specialties. Small Menu with Big Flavors!!! Highly recommend the Bahn Mi! I only took a pic of my food.. oops!

Searching for a place to eat for Friday night dinner and found Iron Pan. Limited menu, but hubby loves Vietnamese beef stew, so was easy to convince him to try it out. I ordered the pork bahn mi. They do have their pan specialties, so please take my review with somewhat a grain of salt. One of their specialties is Beef Stew, perfect for determining how good their food is. Hubby said it ranked up there with his #1 Vietnamese places who serve beef stew. He likes to eat it with rice, but they didn't have that as an option. My Lemongrass Pork Bahn Mi was super delish. Richly seasoned with a slight kick of heat. Perfect for me. So here's the reason for the loss of a star. I ordered my sandwich w/o cilantro. Server confirmed it very clearly to me, so I know it wasn't because she didn't hear me. My sandwich came fully loaded with cilantro. Easy fix. I threw them all into hubby's stew. Another reason for the loss of star; no healthier offers for bahn mi like chicken or tofu. Choices were pork, meatballs, cold cuts, and beef. So this is a suggestion and not so much a criticism. Offer chicken instead of the beef or meatball. At the very least, offer a tofu protein for vegetarians. I realize the restaurant's name is Iron PAN, so they specialize in the "pan" dishes. That being said, my bahn mi sandwich was one of the best I ever had. Will come back. Hope they can make a few tweaks as mentioned, and still maintain the great taste I experienced tonight.

This might be one of the only places in Waikiki open at 4 AM which is perfect if you've just arrived the night before from the East Coast. The inside of the shop feels homey. They have a display case full of pastries along with additional baked goods set out nearby. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a coconut latte and then ordered a blueberry malasada while my father went with a custard-filled one. At Maleko, the malasadas are pre-made but not filled until you order which I think is a smart move. I first tried my blueberry malasada and thought it was good. The dough was light and fluffy and the filling had a great flavor. As for my coffee, I have to agree with other reviews that the syrup made it overly sweet. I still drank it, but I definitely would have preferred something less sweet. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again for the malasadas. As for the coffee, I would probably pass unless you prefer your drinks on the sweeter side.

This is the only standing Kulu Kulu and I hope this place does not close, or if it does relocate, come closer to Central Oahu where the rent is cheaper, haha (hint). This location is on the outer edges of Waikiki on Hobron Lane in Eaton Square. I rarely venture to Waikiki, and if I do make the dreaded drive to "town", this place and Kan Sushi will be the only regular places where I will make my stop(s), because its so worth it. I've had a long-standing love-affair with Kulu Kulu from the Shirokiya Food Court location with it's waffle bears and Hello Kitty waffles, the takeout Nama Chocolate cups stocked at Mitsuwa Marketplace and now here, in town. The Ube Coconut Mousse $6.95 blew our minds, it was THE best tasting thing, ever. Both the ube and the coconut were not cloying, and as with all of their treats, not overly sweet either. That's why I love Japanese pastries, they get the sweetness just perfect and I have no idea how they mastermind that ratio! Strawberry Panna Cotta $5.95 was creamy, flavorful, delicious and surprisingly light and refreshing for such a creamy dessert. I normally don't get this kind of combination of flavors, and it tasted like something you'd get in a Michellin-rated establishment. Looking back at the photos, I see vanilla bean seeds in the panna cotta, so every loving detail and nuance shows through with each mouthful. Nama Chocolate $5.75 is my go-to chocolate LOVE. It's cut into cool creamy semi-sweet squares dusted with cocoa and it melts in your mouth! This is my favorite of all things that Kulu Kulu makes. I actually enjoy this better than the famous Royce Chocolates from Japan. We ordered another seasonal Strawberry dessert slice cake but it was eaten before I could review (and/or taste it); I've heard it was very very delicious. This place is so good that I plan to bring my friends who will be visiting from Virginia here to try their pastries. I also plan to support this business for as long as I can and make more frequent trips to town just to get these amazing desserts.
