They are one of the only mechanics I will take my cars to. They offer honest, reliable service and get the repairs done quickly. I upgraded my AAA towing distance, so if something happens to one of our cars anywhere in the valley, it is covered and we can have it towed to Interstate Auto Repair. read more

I highly recommend interstate auto repair if you want to bring your vehicle in and literally have all your car troubles go away, but instead of simply fixing an O2 sensor they'll completely break your car, not fix it, and then offer to tow your now broken car to your house. But due to personal experience I highly recommend you have them tow your broken car home because when you go to pick it up your car won't be there, they won't have any paperwork on it, And won't be able to tell you where it is. On the other hand they will tell you they reported it abandoned but once you go to the DMV you realize you're cars not reported abandoned its still in your name and this car repair shop will not tell you what they did with your car?! You'll probably end up like me having to file a stolen vehicle report, To this day I still do not know where my car is after dropping it off at interstate auto!!!!! I thought I gave an accurate account of what happened including how I brought my car into be fixed, not stored? Also I eluded to the fact that I indeed did have contact with you several times like when you offered to tow my broken car to my house, then again once you said reported it abandoned which was false, and even more contacts when I came directly into the store? So yes they are two sides to every story, but let's enlighten your current and future customers on the actual facts, and the way it actually was handled... And nice to see you guys are commenting on Yelp reviews but not responding to my legal team simply asking for your insurance information? So we can all try and fix this situation? Without involvement in the BBB or insurance?? Obviously not Seeing how this situation is still unresolved and in fact the only attempts from Interstate Auto Repair is commenting on the yelp review, which is not in anyway trying to fix the situation? Is that a fair and correct statement to make!? read more

I just had the best experience at Interstate Auto. They made the repairs that were needed, professional, efficient and not only saved me $2,000 that the dealer wanted for the same repair but they did quality work! It drives like a new car again! I highly recommend this place! read more

At first they seemed helpful, but the car was towed to their facility on a wed. I called them on Thursday to go over what was needed for the car to run again. He stated that the car definitely needed a new battery. Great, I said when can you start working on it. He said today and it will be finished by Friday. I never heard from them on Friday and I called again on Monday to find out what the status was and if it was ready to be picked up. Was on hold for about 8 min for him to come back on the phone and tell me that it wasn't even started being worked on yet. Well, to say the least I was a bit upset. He then said we will work on the battery today. Later I received a phone call regarding the cars battery. I then was told your fuel pump is bad too. I asked if we could just get the battery replaced for now and just drive it out of there without the fuel pump at this moment, would it still run to bring it home? he said yes we can do this. ok, they put the new battery in. next day I pick it up they are telling me how much it will be. I asked well, is it running now? He told me no....well, I'm sorry but this has just been so chaotic that I was at that point done with interstate auto. NO one knows what the other hand is doing there and they are very unclear with information. I did not pay for the battery that day and he then put the old one back in and had the car towed by AAA. AAA noted that the front bumper, where they were working this whole time, was just hanging off. NOT going back. NOT giving a good recommendation for the service they provided was not professional and to be quite honest the guy who worked on my car was arrogant and I wasn't impressed with the half assed job he did. I wouldn't hire him to do any work on a car. read more

If you live in Chandler or nearby, you are lucky to have an honest, fair, and expert auto mechanic, Keith Zelinski at Interstate Auto Repair. I had been traveling across country from Georgia toward California when my brake light and my check engine light lit up on the dash of my Mini-Cooper. It is difficult to find mechanics who are willing to open the hood of a Mini, let alone face the challenges of the intricacies of this BMW build engine. While I was waiting for my Mini to get fixed, a young woman brought in her Volkswagon for an oil change and asked Keith to look at the brakes. Keith returned letting her know that fixing her brakes wasn't necessary as she had 50% of her brakes left. "What honesty!" I thought.....Because they had to order a sensor for the brake light and it was late in the afternoon, I had to return the next day. I offered to pay for what work they had already done, but Keith said "Pay me when the car is fixed." To my surprise, he totally trusted me to return. In the morning, I witnessed a young man coming in at the last minute begging for assistance on trouble shooting his Acura woos. Keith addressed the car challengers and even gave him a ride home where he wanted to return with the family truck that needed some attention too. Even though Keith and his mechanics had spent a lot of time trouble shooting the Mini, I paid for a very fair labor charge, and I drove away with my check engine light off and my front brake sensor replaced. I have to say that this is the best car mechanic I have ever experienced in the entire 62 years of my life. Keith is a very, very, very impressive auto mechanic who can be TRUSTED to repair your car and charge you fairly! read more

Keith, his wife and employees deserve 10 stars. And I have evidence to back it up. We've all wasted money and have had bad to horrible experiences with mechanics and shops. That stops here at Interstate. I'm am so thankful I've found these people. They are honest and very courteous. I've had my car in several times and they've always been spot on with diagnosis and repairs and have never tried to upsell me. They have actually saved me money by telling me the repair wasn't necessary and offered a better solution. I will never go anywhere else with my vehicles. Highly recommended read more

I am very satisfied with the service. I highly recommend this place. I have a 2010 Lexus LS 460L and they took care of a few things for the fraction of the cost of the dealer's estimate. They gained my trust. Thanks. read more

This family-owned business is truly the best. Keith and his team are honest, and go above and beyond to ensure your vehicle is repaired as quickly and inexpensively as possible. I highly recommend Interstate as a trustworthy mechanic! read more

This is my new go- to auto repair shop. I received a quick and accurate diagnosis and fair pricing on the repair without getting unexpected add on repairs. They seem fair, professional, and high integrity. Thanks Jeremy, for your service! read more

Had some work done here on one of our vehicles, about 40% less than dealership estimate. They did a great job, done precisely when they said it would be, extremely friendly and professional. Also gave me a tremendous recommendation for some paint work on another vehicle and will be taking another vehicle in to them tomorrow for some quick work. Mechanics and garages in general are not the most well thought of and trustworthy businesses in most people's minds, this could not be further from the truth with Keith and the staff at Interstate. If I could give 10 stars I would! read more

Even thought it is a bit out of the way for us, we never bring our cars anywhere else. Keith is so honest, personable, knowledgeable and fair. Our entire family now goes to interstate for all of their auto repair needs! read more

We feel so lucky that friends recommended Interstate Auto to us a few months ago when my 2003 Honda Accord was having issues. Since then they have worked on our Ford 150 and we couldn't be happier. Keith, his wife, and the mechanics are wonderful/trustworthy people! The last time I was in the waiting area the customers were raving about how great the service is and how lucky we all feel to have found an honest/reasonably priced auto repair company. One of the customers was a waitress that had overheard Keith and his wife at dinner the night before and told them her car issues, she was so grateful that he fixed the car and it didn't cost her a whole paycheck. Another gentleman flips cars on craigslist and he only uses Interstate Auto Repair. Bottom line: Great Prices-Honest read more

Unbelievably good service. Look no further for honest friendly and knowledgeable mechanics.

One word. AWESOME. Keith and his crew are honest and well informed and also fair with prices. I took my jeep wrangler to him anytime I had an issue with it. Once I got rid of my jeep wrangler I went to buy a truck and before I even pulled out my money I drove that truck an hour from paradise valley all the way to Keith's to make sure it was okay to purchase. He gave it the okay and the truck has been running great for almost a year now. If you need anything done with your car do not go anywhere but interstate auto! read more

I researched Yelp to find a decent auto repair place after being sick of getting horrible service elsewhere! I had been having problems with my vehicle which started with the "check engine" light coming on. I first took it to another mechanic we had used and been happy with for several years, but they changed hands a few times and their service started going downhill. My husband took it to them out of habit and I wished I would have found Interstate Auto before he did. We spent $2000 in repairs (they said were needed but now I am not so sure they were) and they still not do repair the original problem we went in for. The check engine light kept coming back on and they reset it several times after doing the repairs. They finally gave up and told us they didn't know why it kept coming on but everything "should" be fine. Really? After finding Interstate Auto on Yelp, I called and talked with Keith. He was very professional, patient and kind. He told me to bring my vehicle in anytime and he would test it to find the problem. I took it in and was greeted at the front desk by Michelle. She immediately made me feel at ease (I am a woman and hate going to these places). Keith looked at my vehicle with a few minutes of my arrival. He diagnosed the problem within about 10 minutes, and even took me back into the shop to show me where the repair on the car was needed. He gave me an estimate of $200 to repair (not $2000!) and repaired it that day! The repair was a few weeks ago and I have had no problems with the check engine light coming back on! I could have saved myself so much money had I found Interstate Auto first. I won't take my cars anywhere else now. Thanks Michelle and Keith! read more

I live in Pennsylvania and have 2 juniors at Arizona State university each with a vehicle. I was looking for a place to have them serviced and couldn't find a place in Tempe I was comfortable with. Most reviews didn't seem to make the cut. I came across some reviews for Keith and Interstate Auto that couldn't say enough positive things about Keith and the workmanship. After giving a call out to Keith and having a phone conversation with him. I couldn't have felt more at ease. I sent my son in to have some work done and check out a few things suggested from another mechanic in Tempe. Keith told me what I needed and didn't need. As far as I'm concerned he was spot on. I know a little about vehicle repairs and Keith and his group were batting a 1,000. I have both my kids take their cars down to Chandler. It's worth the drive. The work was quality and price was good couldn't ask to be taken care of any better!! read more

I am fortunate enough to have found Keith (Interstate Auto) about 6 years ago. It is very rare these days to find an excellent mechanic that you can trust. Keith has been taking care of all of our vehicles which include Tahoe, Suburban, and Lexus RX330. His prices are fair and his quality workmanship in my opinion far exceeds any dealership you go to. All of his mechanics are seasoned guys with many years experience, not fresh out of school, who are learning on the job. When there is a problem, he leaves the car up on the rack and explains and shows you the problem while giving you the best options available before you decide what to do. Keith replaced my air conditioning compressor in my 2001 Tahoe about 5 years ago for almost half the price the dealer quoted me, and to this day its ice cold with no issues. He uses only top quality parts. I will continue to take all my vehicles to him from here on out because he is the most honest shop and he cares about the customer instead of taking you to the cleaners. Thanks Keith!! Keep up the good work! read more
