My daughter has been seeing Dr. Schramm for over four or five years. We use corrective lenses, so she doesn't need to wear glasses. Dr. Schramm is very detail-oriented, checking her eyes carefully to ensure the lenses are not damaging her vision. He advises us on new solutions and vitamins that can assist with eye lubrication and help avoid dryness, which my daughter suffers from. He always keeps us informed about the latest technology. What stands out most is his personal touch; he knows his patients not by number but as individuals. He remembers my daughter's trips and asks her about her experiences, making him feel like family to us. We trust him completely--when he recommends something, we never question it because we know he is honest, patient-oriented, and caring, never leading us astray. We love him! I believe anyone who uses his services is in good hands. If you decide to see him, you'll understand what I mean. His staffs are also fantastic. The bathroom is equipped with everything a mother of a newborn or toddler might need. You don't often find seating for toddlers or supplies for mothers in pediatrician offices. My granddaughter had her eyes repaired by this fantastic team of professionals. It was intense eye therapy but she was committed and she doesn't need to wear her corrective glasses. She still wears them to read and study but her freshman photo was her first school photo without glasses. This is long, but please know these people are the best. After calling multiple specialists and leaving messages, Dr. Lam was the only one who returned our call -- after hours -- and took the time to truly listen and guide us. Probably one of the best eye exams I've had in quite a lot long time from a standalone optometry, and several lens replacements,. I was tested as a potential candidate for hard lenses to improve my astigmatism after surgery , and in the process was told that my eyes are not focused at the same spot. This was done just a few minutes by Dr. Schramm and I've been telling optometrist for years that I felt the same thing! That led to an in-depth consultation with Doctor Lam (on YouTube btw) for Binocular Vision. They can do another in depth testing and write a prescription using prism glass, and also offer Vision Therapy , which is rather rare (trust me I've looked.) I'm not a Doctor (nor do I play one on television) and the cost for the exams I paid out-of-pocket-$95 ea. . I will need to pay again for the next binocular vision and RX (quite a bit more) exam - as they don't take my insurance. . But it's a great place to start, and the practice appears to have a large practice helping children early on with vision, especially as it affects their learning abilities , I'm now understanding. I have left a Google review for this place but every time I go I want to write another review. This place is such an amazing place for anybody with vision needs. My younger son has strabismus and the vision therapy here helped him achieve 3D vision and even graduate from vision therapy after maybe 2 years of going twice a month. He went from not having 3D vision to doing basketball, bike riding, skateboarding, hiking, skiing, guitar. He's so willing to try new activities now that his eyes work together. He's so much more confident and I can't tell you how many times I had been told by other doctors not to get my hopes up. For his eyes not only to work together but be straight has been game changing for him. The doctors and vision therapists here are absolutely incredible. Dr Valerie lam is one of the best doctors I've ever met, and she's been such a blessing. We've been also working with Dr Ariel Chen for some time now when our schedule or Dr Valerie's is full and she incredible too. You feel how much they care and their competence exceeds expectations every time. I have been to so many behavioral optometrists and am so grateful for this place and these humans. I go here as well for my eye checks and glasses as does my older son. They helped my younger son with contacts now recently and he is so happy. They are so patient and responsive and organized. They have systems for everything. It's so clean and even aesthetically pleasing - even though that's not my top priority in terms of what matters the absolute most. This place honestly checks all of the boxes. I adore the opticians, the front desk, all of the assistants and techs and just always feel supported and respected and that matters so much. I wanted to write another review (Yelp since I've done Google) because these are the types of businesses that should thrive and the word needs to get out. I've been going to insight vision center for vision therapy for about a year. I have appreciated everyone's expertise and caring nature there. Each therapist I worked with, or doctor I saw always put me first and were on board with addressing my needs and encouraging me. If I had to reschedule the receptionists we're always accommodating. They also gave me reminders about my upcoming sessions. Vision therapy is a difficult undertaking and it's a lot of work so be ready to put in effort if you choose to do it, but I understand my eyes so much better. They had big shoes to fill because I loved my optometrist back in the bay area! lol and the indeed filled it, everyone here is so nice and genuinely cares about your experience. the doctors are personable and i've never felt awkward. they have an EXCELLENT selection of glasses and have the most up to date contacts or recommendations. More recently I had an issue with super dry eyes and they provided me multiple solutions and care instructions to heal them quickly. I have been working with Niki for about 4 months now and she has taught me so many tips and tricks to help me engage and focus my eyes synchronously with improvements shown with baseline and progress tests performed by Dr Chen. *****Amazing Eye Exam!***** I was looking for a new place to complete my yearly eye exam. I had a great experience here. My initial call was fielded by a very pleasant employee who greeted me and made the initial visit scheduling easy. He confirmed my insurance was accepted and worked with me on a time and date that worked around my busy schedule. When I arrived, the staff made everything easy including filling out the initial paperwork. The exam was comprehensive and both the technician and the doctor treated me very nicely. They made me feel like they really wanted my business. The extent of the exam was more detailed and included more than the old place I went to. I have had glasses since 2nd grade and when my eye doctor retired, I had been bouncing around eye doctors for the last 10 years always unsatisfied with my glasses, prescription, and overall visit; then, I found Insight Vision Center Optometry. All the doctors are incredibly talented and have such a passion for patient care. I recently saw Dr. Shram and I did not feel rushed during my appointment and he was very thorough. It's so silly, but I used to get anxious deciding which is clearer 1 or 2, and Dr. Shram made sure I was 100% sure and did not make me feel silly for needing to see the options again. Kim helped me pick out frames and made sure I had the best options available. I did not feel like I was being nickel and dimed but rather that I was getting a good pair of glasses I wasn't going to regret later down the line like I've done so often before. I have also had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Mai and Dr. Lam; If my eyeballs fell out tomorrow, I would trust them to care for me! Stellar care. Dr. Schramm is a boss when it comes to eye care. Staff is super courteous and they cater to the kiddies as well as adults. They taking care of everyone up in there. I have karatoconus, which is like the astigmatism of astigmatism. I've already gone through cornea cross linking at a different optometrist in Houston. While the cross linking ensures that your eyes don't get worse, it does not fix your vision. My vision is trash without augmentation. I was still wearing soft contacts on my initial visit with Dr Schramm. He got me to try the scleral lenses. And let me just tell you, they've changed my life!! I have nearly 20/20 vision with these bad boys. I wear them when I go surfing. They are as comfortable if not more than soft lenses once you get the fit right. There is definitely a learning curve to put them in, but after two years, I can do an installation of my eyes without the need of a mirror. It's definitely the most inconvenient option as far as augmentations go, but it;'s worth it. I also carry a plunger and sterile water and drops when I am on the go as I've had on only two occasions (in two years) a situation where I needed to a lens out out due to air working its way into the lens. I can these scleral lens up to 10-12 hours. These suckers have changed my life. If you are an active person and HATES the limitations of soft contacts, go see Dr. Schramm! He is kind, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing stellar care to his patients. read more

I decided to go to this optometry office based on the reviews but have been disappointed ever since the initial appointment. I had an eye exam and contact fitting. Contacts took a while for them to finally provide the correct prescription. I had gone for years to an office in Fullerton where they would always provide me with friendly service and optometrist who know what they are doing. I moved near this location and decided to give this place a try. If one asks a question, it seems as if it's a nuisance. And if you want to try a different type of contacts within the same year of the contact fitting, then it's a whole new fitting being charged. I had my fitting finalized in April of 2024 and apparently I need a whole new fitting as of October 2024. All they want is your money. They don't care about you or the health of your eyes like other optometrists do. read more

Everyone's incredibly nice and polite, and they typically offer strong customer service, especially when it comes to kids. They were also EXTREMELY responsive when I had an emergency medical issue - I got swimmer's ear in my eye, and they got me in right away. But two issues: 1. They're not always great at diagnosing specialist cases/communicating the message: I was having pressure related to dry eye and thyroid disease, and they suggested I go see a neuro-ophthalmologist. They had one of their front desk people call and leave a message on a long holiday weekend, telling me to make the appointment ASAP, as I could potentially have a tumor or water behind my eyes. Obviously, I panicked when I got that message, and called in a ton of favors *and* fundraised money to get into both the Gavin Hebert Center at UCI and to see another specialist right away. Both of the specialists were extremely polite and said my eyes were fine. I'm just aging, and obviously, the thyroid disease might cause issues. And both of them looked at me like I was absolutely nuts, when I tried to explain what the office had said re: the potential for a tumor. When I circled back to the office and spoke to someone else, they said that the optometrist who originally gave the neuro-ophthalmologist recommendation just wanted to get some baseline tests, and there was no concern of a tumor (?!) When I gave the optometrist feedback re: the front desk's message re: the tumor, he didn't follow up. 2. Prices here are deeply inflated. I knew I had to switch optometrists, after I was quoted $600+ for gas perm contact lenses - the costs should be around $300, max. Like the reviewer before me, they insisted on charging me for a second contact lens fitting. Switched to a different optometrist, and haven't looked back. read more

I've gone twice. The doctors are nice, but the lab they contract with made mistakes both years. For the most recent mistake, Insight Vision was unwilling to request a fix, so I've wasted a month waiting, and need to get another exam at another optometrist to get my prescription updated. read more
