The office looks nice, but I will never shop here again. They sold me youth glasses even though I have a high prescription, repeatedly assuring me there was no difference between youth frames and adult frames and that the fit was perfect. Unfortunately, that turned out to be wrong. The arms of the frames (the part that goes around the ears) were shorter than adult frames, which caused the lenses to sit too close to my eyes and created distortion. I ended up with a pair of glasses that I cannot wear because they cause headaches. The experience became extremely expensive and time-consuming. I lost my insurance benefit for the year, spent additional money out of pocket, and went through multiple remakes and troubleshooting attempts. When I raised these concerns with OC Optometry, they did not resolve the issue. I eventually went to LensCrafters, where they offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. I purchased four pairs of glasses there, and all of them are fantastic. I can finally see properly again and the headaches are gone. Lesson learned: youth frames and adult frames are not the same, especially for someone with a high prescription. read more

We have been going in for a long time. The previous doctor has since retired. The office staff does not know what they are doing. They sent a message to my daughter that her contacts were ready to be picked up. I drove down there and they weren't ready. I had to drive down there a second time to get them In addition, Andy told me my other daughters prescriptions needed to be paid for or else they would send them back. He didn't know that my daughter had previously spoken to the Dr,who she has a friendly relationship with, and told her she would come by at the end of the month when she was in the area. He kept telling me the doctor was the one who told him to tell me to pay for them now or they would send them back. Just an overall horrible experience with this new staff. This company is definitely not what it use to be. So many new faces that are unrecognizable that don't know what they are doing. The quality of the store has gone significantly down with the frames and the cleanliness of the store. It has reached a disgusting low. The bathroom was not clean or presentable. I would find it extremely embarrassing for a store to be okay with it looking like that. The optician seemed like he didn't know what he was doing with adjusting my frame. Overall, not the service that was originally given years ago where we could take our time and not feel rushed. Overall disappointed in the service. Their optometry shop sent a pair of brand-new designer frames I brought in to have lenses made, and they came back from the lab cracked. Their response was to ask me to buy another pair of frames--of course, not even the same kind, which they don't carry--to replace the ones the lab destroyed. Customer lost: this will be the first and last visit I make to this office. Follow up 10 days later: Although the optometrist posted, in response to my review above, that OC Optometry Group were contacting the makers of the frames and the lab for recourse, the sum outcome of these efforts was, when I went into the store, to hand me a one-page sheet of instructions for how to put lenses in natural-horn frames. Thanks a lot, very helpful to have, now that my frames have come back ruined. However, the fact that this instruction sheet can now be produced indicates to me is that there WAS a proper way to have handled these frames and the lab failed to do it, and that is why they have been returned to me destroyed. To say the least, it's a little late and a bit misplaced to give me these instructions, since I'm not the one making the lenses and putting them in the glasses! The only thing I can see that I did wrong was to trust this group to handle competently the ordinary task of getting a pair of eyeglass lenses put into a frame without mishandling them. read more
