These guys are the best. A few months ago I bought a pair of Vuarnet Glacier glasses. They come with a few extra parts specific to the model. Well, I keep losing them and they just keep ordering me new parts that they absolutely REFUSE to charge me for. We had an emergency a few weeks ago. My adult son called me and he had scratched his cornea in his sleep. He couldn't open his eyes. It was a Saturday. I was on the phone for an hour calling every eye doctor I could find. No one was in on a Saturday. I had experienced this before and know that the emergency room cannot help with this issue. Finally one doctor's office suggested that I call an optometrist. I called Salt Optometry. Dr Semino was ready to leave for the day. She said she would wait for us. She is so kind and knowledgeable. She was able to help my son with eye drops and a special contact. He was out of excruciating pain within minutes. I feel so blessed that we were able to find Dr. Semino. If it wasn't for the ziggy's team I don't think I could have built the courage to undergone the procedure. ( Dr. Tooma) They were all emotionally supportive and explained in details what to expect. pre op lasik- The doctor examined everything in detail again. The awesome Dr. Chen also helped me set realistic expectations with my procedure. She was very easy to talk to and never rushed me out her office. (I ask allot of questions) The 2 men ( Renee & Jose) also answered all my questions about the procedure and assured me I'm in good hands. They shared personal experiences and stories they saw first hand. That was very reassuring for me. I don't want this review to be about my Lasik experience so I will fast forward to what happens after. Post Lasik- Doctor examined again. In detail and explained what to expect in the near future. Made me feel extremely safe and cared for. 3 months and 6 Months check up; Came in for a check up. My eyes are still adjusting from the surgery. Dr. Chen recommended I get glasses for night time driving as my vision adjusts. Rene help me pick out a pair of glasses. Was very patient with me as made my selection. Rene has a gift for this type of work. This was not my first glasses here. I actually have been cominghere for over 10 years now. Through out the years Rene has helped with multiple pairs of awesome solution to my glasses needs. Prior to my surgery I had a high stigmatism I needed "special glasses" which Rene took pride in helping me with. Jose has also been extremely helpful. When picking up glasses he always makes sure I'm happy with my selection and always makes minor adjustments and tweaks as needed. Jose also helps with great enthusiasm as do all ziggy's team members. My family and I were out spending the day at Huntington Beach on vacation swimming and playing and a large wave knocked my husband's glasses off in the water never to be seen again. He literally cannot see without his glasses and we were in a bit of a panic seeing as how it was around 4:30 pm and things were all closing. We visited 2 other stores that couldn't help us before we ran into Ziggy's. The man was so incredibly kind and amazing, we are still blown away. He provided my husband with a weeks worth of contacts and a kit with contact solution all without an appointment WHILE being harassed on the phone by a woman who didn't like one of their policies. My husband didn't even have a current prescription to share with him. I wish we would have gotten his name, but this man saved us. I got some really cute glasses here a few years ago that I really love. My hubs just had an eye exam here and he purchased some new sunglasses.
