Super happy I chose this spot to eat at. During my family's recent trip up the coast to Solvang and Cambria, we stayed the night in a cottage at the nearby RV park and ate dinner here. Best decision! Located in some type of warehouse/industrial looking building, it gave off hipster vibes. Parking was plentiful right outside. Menu was on the wall, but slightly confusing as it just listed ingredients and didn't specify if it was a salad, cooked, fried, baked or what. Lady at the counter was friendly and answered my 100 questions. I ended up enthusiastically over ordering simply because everything sounded so exciting. Their food is meant for sharing it seems. After paying, we got a table number and found a cozy spot at one of the indoor large barstool tables (they have dog friendly outside tables). Water is self serve and so are condiments and togo boxes. FOOD: --Beets, hummus, citrus, lavash $12: Some type of thick, crispy flatbread paired with hummus and large beets. Somewhat sweet and refreshing, sorta like a salad. Not a fan of beets, but my mom whos a vegetarian enjoyed it. --Tomatoes, olive, cucumber, dill, basil $12: (I think thats what I ordered) Salad type dish again. Tangy and refreshing. Flavors meshed well together. --White shrimp, pancetta, garlic, chile $15: Several gigantic shrimp atop what seems like a garlic bread. It came highly recommended, but I ended up eating it along and it was just too salty and too much "bread" for me. --tomato, Uni, avocado: I love uni so naturally I had to get this. Basically just the said items spread out on a plate. Fun to snack on. Uni was super fresh! --oyster, uni, avocado $6: Exactly as the name states, an oyster with uni and avocado on top. Very fresh and delicious. I would've gotten more of these if my stomach allowed. --tomato, mozzarella, basil $14: A margherita pizza. Thin crust, hot and juicy. You can't go wrong with a pizza and theirs didn't disappoint. For two adults and one kid, this was wayyy more than enough food. We stopped in to industrial eats yesterday to have a bite of lunch after our morning at the winery. Everybody enjoyed their sandwiches and burgers, and they have a great variety of sandwiches and mains. Depending on what you order service is pretty quick but burgers take a little bit longer. My husband had the Cubano sandwich, which was outstanding and my brother had the pastrami Reuben, which was also outstanding. I had the burger which was very good and everybody else enjoyed the various sandwiches they had. Ambience is very funky and comfortable. We definitely will come back. read more

I was finally able to check out one of the latest additions to the fertile foodie escape of Buellton. I am glad I did here at Industrial Eats. I pulled up to a parking lot with a plethora of hipsters in hats with local craft beer in their hands. As I made my way to the door for takeout, I was pleased with aesthetics. I ordered the pizza and my husband got the bahn mi. My sausage pizza was delicious and I ate over three meals. I wanted a bit of chili spice to it but it was otherwise a delicious, fresh and gourmet pizza. My husband loved his sandwich. His only complaint was that he quickly needed a fork, messy to eat. If I could give no stars I would. Such a disappointment. We used to love coming here and the food was excellent. Two of our four sandwiches were inedible. The pork in the Banh mi was cold soggy and raw. The pastrami Reuben which was my favorite sandwich ever in the past was dripping grease the bread was not toasted and one could literally squeeze a cup of oil out of it. Also one half of the sandwich was missing half the piece of bread. How this left the kitchen is beyond me and embarrassing for the restaurant. Added to this for the amount of time we waited (over 50 minutes after we ordered) one would have thought all items would have been perfect. Waste of time and money. We found this place by accident while spending a weekend in Buellton. What a fantastic accident! The dishes here are eclectic and artfully crafted. The pheasant and tangerine salad was one of the most delicious things I have ever put in my mouth. Atmosphere is funky and artistic with an interesting edge. Meats and cheeses abound. 07.07.2021 We ordered online and made our way over. The food was ready when we arrived. Bagged and boxed well, but still had to ask for utensils and napkins. Sausage pizza--The sausage was amazing and went well with the other toppings. Sadly the pizza wasn't cooked evenly. The crust wasn't cooked long enough in the middle but was crispy and crunchy on top and on the edges. BBQ Brisket sandwich--Flavor of the meat was pretty good. Unfortunately the cole slaw to meat ratio was definitely a bit off. Steak Caesar salad--Thank you for packing the steak separately! The steak was delicious and not over cooked. The salad was dressed well, but really close to having too much salad dressing. Food was good quality and fresh but a few things here and there could be improved on, as mentioned above. This place is a great place to stop for lunch or dinner if you are in the area. I-eats is located on a block that is sort of an industrial park. You enter into a door, order at the counter, and sit in the large room, reminiscent of a deli. Food wise they have a variety of sandwiches, pizzas as well as full entrees. I have been coming here for nearly 7 years and never had a bad meal. Beer and wine selection is small but quality now that they have some canned beers. Service is good for what it is. I love this place. Very creative menu with interesting choices. Always fresh ingredients. Shared tables up the social aspect as guests compare beautiful food orders. Artwork/Knick knacks are curious as well everything from Funkos (lemmie, Travis Bickle...) to Shepard Fairy. Two visits on this weekend trip-- way up, way home. The pan bagnat was amazing with tuna, anchovies, egg, arugula on a lovely roll. Smoked Turkey was great on sliced bread. Brisket was chunks of meat with a lovely smoky flavor that reminded me of Asian BBQ. The Cuban on a giant artisan style roll was very good and not pressed feeling--brick oven! The shaved fennel salad was refreshing and flavorful as was the smoked duck salad. I've Never had a bad meal here. Open your mind to new experiences here. You will be pleasantly surprised. read more

We went to Industrial Eats for dinner this past weekend. Neat place, awesome brick ovens. The menu sounded amazing and there were multiple items that we wanted to try... unfortunately, I think I picked the wrong one as did others. I got the Gorgonzola Apple Bacon pizza and somehow it was nearly flavorless with the exception of the rosemary spices on it. It looked beautiful though! The apple slices and bacon pieces didn't really taste like much when I tried them separately. Someone else got the Prosciutto pizza which came with a unnecessarily GIANT pile of arugula lettuce on top (could have been a salad in and of itself) and a pile of Prosciutto meat under it which was on TOP of the cheese instead of melted under it... very odd. The cow tongue Reuben was excellent and melted in our mouth. Two of us tried to order something else because we really didn't love the pizzas and were told no because they were starting to clean the kitchen. The dough on both pizzas were outstanding. Service was good. We may come by another time if or when we happen to be driving through but wouldn't make a special trip out from SB for it. First of all, there was a power outage on this day which probably added to the longer than usual wait. For a first-timer, it's a little confusing. Once you enter, its an open space. I had to ask where the menus were and was directed to the wall and specials posted on the counter windows. There was none outside to preview, so with a long line behind you, there is a little pressure to order quickly. We ordered The Cuban, BBQ Brisket sandwich and I saw the special, Marrow and sea snails. After paying, we sat down outside. Now there are lots of people here coming in for takeout and seated outdoors. There aren't that many tables and chairs at first glance. We waited for close to 45 minutes. They call your name and it seemed everyone else's orders were coming up. We heard the wait was for the Cuban sandwich. When we finally received our order, the BBQ Brisket was underwhelming, littke overdone. I suspect it was due to the power being out. The Cuban was excellent. Unfortunately, my dish which was the most expensive at $25, consisted of 2 marrow bones and it was unseasoned marrow, barely anything in it plus one perfectly fried egg. In a container of broth was the tough rubbery snails. The broth wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Overpriced special for what you get but everything else was OK. Disappointed as I expected more from an entree like marrow and snails which are both my faves. On the outside, this place looks cute and inviting. However, once you look at their "menu"... it's just downright confusing. (er... unless you're looking at their pizzas and salads.) They have menu items written on butcher paper, as well as specials taped to a glass part... but it's hard to understand what the dishes actually are... You stand in line, order, and then find your own seat and wait for your name to be called. The line went pretty slowly though since everyone ahead of us basically seemed as confused as us and were asking questions about everything. LOL! There were plenty of seats outdoors to choose from. We tried the hummus and beets... which were okay. (maybe the best thing we had...) The pizza was overly salty and hard to eat. The bahnmi was also just okay. nothing too crazy here. The apple/fennel salad was soooooo doused in sauce that it became hard to eat. (there's no actual greens/lettuce in this salad...) Total, this came out to be about $65. It's been a few weeks since I came in with friends (group of seven) for late lunch on a Saturday and I'm still thinking about the delicious sandwiches we had! It was busy! It's an order at the counter, seat yourself type of place. Not a lot of space for queuing so the line was out the door, but once we had our food it was worth the wait. I had the Shady's Crispy Fish Sandwich, soft bun and nicely seasoned breading on the crispy fish. Just the right amount of tangy remoulade sauce too. J had the pan Bagnat - Tuna, Anchovy, Arugula, and boiled Egg which is basically an open faced Niçoise salad sandwich. Lots of good quality tinned fish and olive oil. A little difficult to eat since it kind of falls apart but so delicious. It was hard to figure out something to eat for our 7 year old A, so we ended up getting her the meatballs which comes with yummy bread so of course that was all she wanted. The tomato is like a chunky fresh style, not really a sauce and not to her liking but I liked it! The Smoked Turkey Sandwich was hearty and on fresh thick sliced artisan breads. The stuffed shell pasta was the envy of my fellow diners. I am so happy they were opened because the food is so good! I've been here in the past pre-covid and today was a reminder of how awesome the food is. My family and I got the chicken liver pate, maitake mushroom pizza, smoked chicken salad, and the family-sized spaghetti meatball platter. The stand out dishes were the smoked chicken salad and the pizza. The salad had an amazing dressing with a good amount of chicken. The pizza had a unique taste that was really yummy, and the mushrooms were huge! The portions of the food are also very generous! The staff that work here are really nice. My daughter had a cheese pizza with prosciutto, and my hubby had prosciutto with arugula...all yummy! The place itself was cool (they even let us bring our golden retriever doggo inside), yet they were playing music that was old skool rap...think Biggie, with some Eminem, etc, and only a couple of songs that didn't have foul language ("N" and "F" bombs, etc). It didn't phase my 11-year old, but if you're sensitive, remember it's "industrial" here. It was funny because the majority were older people most of the time we were there, and I was thinking it wasn't playing to the right crowd. Such a refreshing farm-to-table dinner! Dropped by this place during the week and it was popping! It's lunch room style seating with high top seating and regular seating. They have some staple menu items as well as specials to select from with their menu listing all the ingredients for each item to make a decision. We ordered four items to share among three of us - 1) pizza special with prosciutto and truffle, 2) escargot, 3) roasted peaches, prosciutto, burrata, 4) salad special with salami, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Everything was pretty exceptionally tasting. I think the only dish that disappointed were the escargot. Some were a little burnt and pretty over buttery and garlicy. Aside from that, everything was so tasty! I'd definitely come back because all dishes sounded so yummy and refreshing! They also have a selection of beer and wine to pick from, or you're able to bring in your own bottle of wine for no corkage fee. I recommend coming earlier than later because some items might be already sold out for the day. Right outside the kitschy Danish inspired tourist stop of Solvang, in an removed industrial park across the freeway and adjacent to a handful of small tasting rooms, you'll find a great locals spot for wood fired pizzas, creative plates and wine on tap. Interesting spot with simple but interesting food. Perfect lunch stop off the 101 on the popular SF to LA route.
