The food here is super tasty and quite unique from what you can get elsewhere. I love their variety of pizzas and side dishes, it's easy to order at the counter and get a bunch of variety to share. Definitely not the cheapest but the quality is there. I'd recommend trying it out if you're with a larger group in the area!

This place has been on my radar since I lived in So Cal roughly 6-8 years ago. I gotta tell you it was totally worth the wait. It turns out they've even expanded. We shared a few personal size pizzas a bahn mi and Brussels sprouts and everything was on point. Friendly staff and plenty of area to sit. Great food worth the stop anytime.

Looked around for something interesting to eat up in the Central Coast and met my cousin here for lunch. This is a little find! The owner took order. The food was wonderful. The service was very good and looking over-the-counter at other things being prepared... Oh my gosh, the sandwiches.!! Everything was fresh and good! great seating and a wonderful afternoon.

The best meal we had in the Solvang area. It was suggested I order the Caesar Salad, which I loved. Also ordered the Tempura Asparagus and Onions with miso and ponzu sauces, as well as the Mushroom Soup with Gruyère Grilled Cheese. Loved everything. Paired with local wines, this was a perfect meal. I'm normally not a fan of food halls, but this super exceeded expectations and not only was the food. Incredible but the ambience in the space was amazing. Everything is made to order and you can tell the difference. You may have to wait for a bit, but it's worth it because you know that it's fresh and literally started after the order was put in versus being prepped for hours before. Highly recommend.

We were looking for a nice casual spot to grab a quick and easy lunch and fortunately came across Industrial Eats in Buellton. What a fantastic find! We walked in and immediately got in line to order while we watched the crew working hard behind the counter. Everything on the tables from the other patrons looked and smelled so good we instantly knew we were in for a great experience! The portions aren't overly large but they're just right for anyone with a good appetite! We asked for some suggestions when we ordered and we weren't steered wrong! We ordered a BBQ brisket sandwich and petite filet, spinach, mushroom, mash, demi glace. It was all soooooo gooooood that we practically licked our plates! We also got some beer and wine to go with our meals and were very happy with our recommendations too (Kaena Syrah and Hook Line and Drinker Hazy IPA). Since the menu appears to change from time to time, it'll be interesting to see what they have available the next time we come in. Glad we have one more reason (excuse) to come back to Solvang and Buellton area! I hope you come in to experience the goodness that Industrial Eats has to offer too!

Came here twice during a trip to the Central Coast, and this place is a gem in Buellton. The layout of Industrial Eats is pretty simple, just line up to order at the front of the counter, get a number, and find an open spot. They deliver the food to your table once ready. In the both times I went, I got the Beets and Hummus with chips, the Miso Cod with avocado, and the beef tongue pastrami Reuben. All the dishes I tried here were delicious and the quality was fresh, with my favorite being the pastrami Reuben. The pastrami was very tender and not overly salty, and really liked how complimentary the horseradish was with the pastrami. My only complaint is how overwhelming the menu can be just reading it when ordering at the front. There was one guy in front of me that felt stressed out about what to order. The service here was pretty nice. I would visit here again to try their pizza.

    Beef Tongue Pastrami Rueben

I was looking for a quick and casual dinner in the Buellton area and I'm glad Yelp recommended me this spot! I ordered the Beef Tongue Pastrami Rueben and it was delicious! The sandwich was meaty and had great textures. The bread was crispy and buttery, the beef tongue was juicy and flavorful, the cheese and sauce was creamy and rich, and the sauerkraut was crunchy and tangy. All of these components combined made a tasty sandwich. I also liked how it came with a lettuce salad which provided a nice freshness to cut the richness of the sandwich. For around $20, this was a good value. You could even save the other half of the sandwich for another meal since it was very filling. Walking-in the interior was very social as you sit at shared tables with other people. The service was okay, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the cashier giving me some attitude when I asked what she'd recommend from the menu. Also, I asked for my order to-go, but they ended up just serving my order on a plate in-house. I didn't feel like asking again for my order to-go, so I ended up eating at the restaurant. I would recommend paying more attention to the customer's order in the future. They also have a parking lot in front and a self-serve water station. Overall, a good experience here. I would just recommend working on delivering a better customer experience.

    Butcher paper wall menu
    Kellie C.

We stopped in after wine tasting for to-go items. I knew to expect that some things would be 86'ed by visiting later in the day. Many of the staff were courteous but all-business (of course, they were busy). The ever-changing list of seasonal menu items was posted on butcher paper on the wall. I had eaten here twice before and dined there, so this was my first carry-out experience with them. As with dine-in or carry out, drinks are in the cooler so grab your choice and bring to the counter to order your food. We ordered the brisket sandwich, which was small cubes of brisket rather than slices. The bun was soft and delicious and the slaw was well-dressed. The flavor of the brisket was good but the small cubes kept falling out of the sandwich. We also had the beet, hummus, citrus, lavash salad ($16), for which they smartly packed up the ingredients separately so we could self-assemble at home. The house-made lavash was crispy and delicious, almost like a garlicky pappadum. I loved that. The citrusy hummus was fine and the ruby beets unremarkable. Watching the plates come out of the kitchen, beautifully presented, and watching the industrious efforts of the cooks and servers in their open kitchen, I'd say it's still your best bet to eat in here, get there early for best selection, and read the reviews for stand-out items.

    Salmon Carpaccio, Avocado, Shoyu
    Clarissa D.

This place gets a 5 stars recognition only because Solvang was super packed and couldn't find a place we all wanted to go get lunch at. Randomly found this hidden gem only 10 mins away from the main area. It fit everyone's taste palette and I enjoyed every dish I tried. You sit at a table then get up and order your food, they'll give you a number and the food comes to you. We ordered the salmon carpaccio, petite filet, and the cuban. Let me tell you I was very quiet being in a big group only because I was enjoying my food too much. The carpaccio was so good!! We couldn't find any pictures on yelp or anywhere else but still decided to get it because it sounded too good and it didn't disappoint at all. Great way to start the meal! The petite filet was full of flavor and lastly the Cuban was extremely delicious and I devoured every piece of that sandwich. I asked for extra pickles because I love pickles and also added mustard and hot sauce myself. The environment was super chill and nice to have everyone get something different and didn't have to wait a long time. I would definitely be returning if I was every back in town. If your ever in town or visiting Solvang definitely have some food in town but if it's too overwhelming or crowded industry eats is the way to go.

Simple turkey sandwich with incredible flavor.
    Laura H.

How can a simple turkey sandwich be so perfect? I don't know but it was. An owner of a wine bar we frequent here in Southern California recommended I try it so we grabbed that and a pizza on our recent visit. Pizza was good, but with so many good pizza options now it wasn't the star of the show for us. Great flavor and perfectly cooked though. We got there right at opening on a Sunday so we had great service and didn't wait long for our food. It wasn't long before there was a constant line of about 5-10 people there the rest of our visit though. Great little industrial area we frequent since there's little tasting rooms in the area and we enjoy getting a beer at Figueroa which is right there as well. Will definitely be back - now that I'm looking on Yelp there are so many other things I'd love to try!

Are they still dog friendly in 2024? All of the previous answers are 5-7 years old, and they seem to no longer have outdoor tables.

When I visited in early November 2024, dog friendly!

    Does this have outdoor seating?

They do, but it's a small outdoor space with a couple of tables that go fast.

    Do they take reservations?

Not that I know of. But I highly recommend stopping at this place. I went there twice and have never had a long wait

Is this place Dog friendly? Maybe on the patio?

Yes and you can even bring dogs inside. At least when I was there, the guy at cashier told me I can bring dogs inside. I was gonna sit patio but I had dinner with my dogs inside.

    Cocktails served here?

No cocktails. Beer and wine on tap.

From the moment we walked in, it felt less like a restaurant and more like being invited into someone's passion project. The intimacy of the setting made it special right away--small group, shared experience, and a level of attention you just don't get in a traditional dining environment. Each course was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, but more importantly, it delivered. The food was the clear star--clean, intentional, and incredibly well-executed. Every dish felt like it had a purpose. The steak and mushrooms were a standout, and dessert was right there with it. The wine pairings introduced us to bottles we wouldn't normally find or order ourselves, which added to the experience. If anything, I would've loved even more storytelling around the pairings--how and why each wine was chosen to complement the dish--but that's a small note in an otherwise incredible night. They were quite tasty, and came with a small dish of a creamed hot sauce, which worked great with the empanadas. The Paella came out - it was a 30 minute cook time. The spices and the chicken and chorizo worked so well together. We had to find a wine that would work with this, and we went with a Derby Tempranillo. It was light enough to work, and cut the grease in the dish like a laser. We finished up with a Limoncello Tort, which was tasty. The food was absolutely delicious, which is why I'm leaving this review, but unfortunately the service missed the mark during our most recent visit. We ordered our steak medium rare, but it came out well done. When our server took our order, our appetizers arrived quickly and then our entrees followed, but we had to remind him about the Starry soda that was ordered and never brought out initially. The biggest issue occurred when the Aguachile Ribeye was brought to our table. One of the plates was broken, causing food and sauce to spill all over me and the seat. While the server acknowledged something happened, there wasn't much concern shown about the spill on my shorts, and no replacement plate was offered. A simple apology and a little more attention to the situation would have gone a long way. Later, when we asked for a box for the leftover steak, it took quite a while and I ended up having to remind our server again. Note that this is a review specifically for a private event (wedding lunch reception)…read more My wife and I recently got married at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and were looking for a restaurant to host a lunch reception and State & Fig absolutely delivered. A 5/5 experience and we would certainly work with them again. We were in contact with Serina for about a year before the wedding and she was very accommodating, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. We initially met with her to discuss our vision, had a food and cake tasting, and also a final walk through with our coordinator to ensure everything was smooth. In terms of food, atmosphere, and service, I would want to go through all three in detail: 1) Food: We had a lunch style buffet and the food options were fresh and many of our guests gave very positive feedback and took shameless second trips. Serina and the owner (Patrick) were able to source many of the ingredients seasonally and cater to our guests' palate (Asian-inspired, etc.). We had a tasting and they took our feedback into consideration in earnest. Moreover, our strawberry cake was AMAZING. 2) Atmosphere: The restaurant had a great layout for our party size (~90 or so) with seating inside, outside, and upstairs. This arrangement allowed us to have an intimate reception despite having a lot of guests. The decor in the restaurant is minimal, which allows customization to make the space truly our own. State & Fig allowed us to borrow a few decorations, which was generous. 3) Service: The two points before were already excellent, but State & Fig's outstanding service took the lunch reception to another level. Serina was a joy to work with in terms of bringing our vision to life and was always there to make things easy for us. Patrick ensured that this was a special day for us, and encouraged us to soak it in and enjoy it as much as we can. And the wait staff and servers on the day of were professional and attentive. For that, we are immensely grateful. There were other restaurants that we toured before selecting S&F, and it was clear that hosting the reception would simply be a transactional business affair. This felt like a genuine desire to make our special day a memorable experience. Overall, a 5/5 experience and we hope that others will be able to have State & Fig host their special day. P.S. A funny aside: we met a couple sitting next to us during our tasting, who were returning to celebrate their anniversary after getting married at S&F. They told us we were in good hands and not to worry, and we AGREE.

She answered all of our questions and gave us flexibility to make our reception as unique and special as we wanted. State and Fig provided reasonable pricing for everything they offered and we were so happy with their service. Our guests loved the food and space. I highly recommend State & Fig for special events.

These guys were very nice and responded right away over text when I had questions!…read more I had the shrimp & grits and the seafood gumbo. The flavor of the food was packed with delicious herbs and spices. Truly a supernova of delicious authentic soul taste. If it were just that, it'd be an easy 5 stars; however, onto the negatives: 1. The shrimp & grits were pretty skimpy on the grits (altho tons of shrimp and delicious sausage in the seafood gumbo. HIGHLY recommend that one) 2. The prices are a bit high, in the $20-$40 range. However, I understand that delivery companies do take a big portion 3. The grubhub page said "not currently accepting orders" while the Uber eats one was accepting them. I asked the owner over text and she said she'd try to fix the grubhub website (I wanted to use grubhub over Uber eats cuz I had a $5 off grubhub coupon). It still wasn't fixed after 15-30 mins so we just gave up and ordered on Uber Eats since we were hungry. Would've been nice to know how long it might take to get it fixed; I was assuming it'd be a quick setting change Note that these guys are delivery/pickup only via Uber Eats or Grubhub and you have to just wait and show up at their house when it's ready. Didn't have to wait long after the estimated finish time to see the sous chef walk out and hand me the order. +1 for great instructions on where to meet them
