Eye on I Fantastic experience all around. I had the Supreme pizza and my son ordered the Spicy pizza -- both were a hit. The brick-oven pizza is outstanding, and the crust really shines: tasty, crunchy, and perfectly cooked with just the right chew. We also tried the pig in a blanket, which was wonderful and paired really well with the salad. Everything tastes fresh, and it shows -- all ingredients are organic and truly farm-to-table. They have a great drink selection, a welcoming patio for outdoor seating, and a very cool interior. There are lots of interesting details and artwork throughout the space that give it a special vibe -- definitely not a cookie-cutter place. Heather took her time answering all of my questions, and the rest of the staff was genuinely helpful and friendly, which made the experience even better. I decide to try this place for a second time. I was not impressed. Two sandwiches for almost $50..hoping to get something amazing and over the top. I've had their pizza before, okay nothing special. I got the turkey sub, the bread was so hard I could hardly bite into it. Probably a few days old? Also there was very limited meat in my sandwich. Flavor inside was fine. My bf got the pulled pork sandwich and he said it wasn't that good either. We will probably not go back. Also, the chips given on the sides where about 5 of them and they were super vinagrette flavor and salty (inedible). When I went to ask for a dill pickle, I noticed one of the kitchen staff grabbing something from counter and eating it right in front of me.. we don't have plans to return. read more

Ordered a couple of Koji Chicken sandwiches to go for me and my wife and we both commented that they were perhaps the best chicken sandwiches we've had in our lifetime (and we have been around the block a few times). Some may consider the $22 price high, but you definitely get your money's worth as the serving size is very good and the flavors are amazing! Tender, tasty, crispy chicken served in a large Puccia bread bun that was scrumptiously delicious. You will experience so many flavors in this sandwich from sweet and sour to salty and savory, from the right amount of spice to fresh and minty. A variety of great textures which include pickles and slaw rounded out the delectable experience. I will be back for more next time in town. read more

Came here on whim and was not disappointed at all. We got the Koji Chicken Sandwich and to say it was an experience doesn't even come close to describing how amazing and flavorful it was. I have never come closer to an out of body experience than when I took my first bite. I don't know what I saw while my eyes were closed but I had tears in them when the moment past. 10/10 I wish I could forget what it tasted like so I could experience it all over again. And to top it off the service was immaculate and one of the workers went out of his way to chat with us and give us great recommendations for things to do while in town (Shout out Jacob). This is the northern outpost of Buellton's world-famous Industrial Eats, so if you've eaten there, you have a sense of what to expect here: truly outstanding food, fresh daily specials, and counter service. It's a much smaller location than Buellton so the menu is smaller and focused more on the wood fired pizzas. You'll probably eat on the back patio, which is pretty plain but jazzed up by a big mural. Our party of four had two pizzas, two salads, and some focaccia. Everything was delicious, with some unexpected flavor Easter eggs (e.g. a layer of spicy hummus beneath the beet salad). The place is easy to miss from outside -- the only signage is an unlit neon sign of an eyeball with rays shooting out of it, lol. Very cool spot. read more

I loved when a place is so obviously itself - its own style, its own fun, its own colors - there's a real heartbeat to this place, all its own. We ordered some pizzas, the amazing chicken sandwich, a gorgeous little nosh plate with beautiful pickles and hummus. I loved gazing at the walls and all the textures and old posters and new paintings. The kids ran around the back little patio, playing under the sprawling murals. We were kind of an offbeat group, some of us tired and hungry and a little grumpy when we came in. The staff was patient and kind, and clearly talented and hardworking at their craft. It's not the service or the ambiance that truly blue me away as both were bare bones and simple ( not a bad thing) but the FOOD that was truly creative and delicious. Eye on I was truly a hidden Gem in Lompoc and my #1 recommendation for dining after a day of wine tasting in Lompoc's up and coming "Wine Ghetto". I do believe bringing in local wine to enjoy with your meal is allowed, not sure about a corkage fee. The menu changles daily and is an eclectic mix of chef inspired meals such as; Vindaloo curry, Fresh summer salads, Roasted Beets, Tempura Cauliflower, flatbreads made on a hot brick oven, and always something seasonal and creative for desert. Oh what a solid lunch choice indeed! I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars but alas, I can't. The place itself it's quaint inside with some seating but there is a lot of seating outdoors. The menu changes but there are some staples. I came with a group of five people for lunch and we all ordered something different. My tuna melt was delicious! So many great flavors and it was open-faced which makes me feel like I got more bang for my buck. The Cesar salad had a bit of a kick but a solid salad. The chicken burger and pulled pork sandwiches were a win for my friends. If this review was only on flavor, Eye and I would get a 5+ rating. To find the place, rely on your GPS and the big eye on the window (see pics). There are no signage at this time, unless that is the intent. The inside has a similar feel to it's sister eatery, industrial Eats in Buellton. Not as big as it's sister with most of its seating in the inviting back patio. Let's get to the food. Possibly, the best beat salad ever. Served with pink grapefruit, za'taar on the perfect bread and several other tasty components. We have traveled to the Middle East and I'm telling you, Eye and I has the best za'taar we've had. I think it was the amble amount of sesame seeds. We move on. Jeff got the Koji Fried Chicken sandwich. It was an explosion of flavor. The chicken was fresh and crisp. It was a little hard navigating chicken nuggets on the sandwich. I had the Pulled Pork sandwich. When it was brought to the table, OMG was all I could say. It looked delicious, a feast for the eyes. The flavor did not disappoint, but the meat was a little chewy. It was chilly outside, so we sat in the back of the eatery where there was a few tables. We felt we were sitting in the back room of a cafe, where all the supply's, food storage, trash and clean up area was located. The sweet young lady at the counter was a perfect host. Always checking on us and asking if we needed anything. The male employees behind the counter were talking shop and using curse words which I felt were inappropriate as a customer That always puts a damper on the full experience. Eye on I has a really cute, industrial environment. Their menu has a lot of great variety from appetizers, soup, salad, sandwiches, and pizzas. While we looked over the menu, the staff was really friendly and answered the questions we had about ingredients. The food was really delicious too! The slaw on my chicken sandwich tasted so fresh and flavorful. The only thing was that I figured the pickle plate was various types of pickles rather than various pickled vegetables. I ate the pickles, and my parents are the other things, so it ended up being okay. I'd definitely recommend checking out this restaurant. It's a bright spot in the Lompoc community! read more

I tried their fungi pizza. The food was good. Expensive for what you get. But it was quality. The "service" here wasn't very friendly and it also wasn't service. You get your own water, plates and utensils and you order at the counter. Also, zero signage from the street that even tells you what this place is . Menu is hard to take in. Honestly, it was hard to read their homemade menu which is written in Sharpie on brown parchment paper....I initially thought it was a bbq joint because of the delicious smells. The papadam was super tasty, I wish I had more! Shepherds pie: This was also pretty good, except for one kinda big flaw. The meat was SO fatty :( I'd say half of the meat (which amounted to like 20% of the whole filling) was inedible fat. Chantelle, sausage and brie pizza: this just didn't have enough flavor (aka salt) for me. It was just kind of bland. Maybe cause the sausage was in huge chunks that made the it hard to get a bite with sausage in it every time. With a total lack of decent restaurants in Lompoc, we finally relented and decided to try this place. I say relented because the front of the place is not very inviting. The interior is not much better. It felt like we were sitting in a wherehouse somewhere. However, the food was really good. I had a pulled pork sandwich, and my husband had a meatball sandwich, both with a bag of chips. Both were really good. Was it good enough to make us return? Maybe, because Lompoc is a food desert. As far as service goes, it was just that, service. I need to add that it was a cold day and their patio was closed. On a warmer day, when you can dine outside, I'm sure the ambiance is better. This place didn't look like much from the outside, but once I stepped inside I realized the food was going to be amazing. I believe the pizzas are made in a wood fire oven. I ordered the bacon gorgo pizza which included peaches, bacon, Gorgonzola, and figs. The pizza was phenomenal. The crust had sea salt and it was a perfect blend of sweet and salty. I also really liked the outdoor area in the back. They have a sand box area for the kids and the benches are made with surfboards. It is definitely unique and gave me the small town surfer vibe.
