Left: horchata latte, right: dulce de leche latte, blueberry muffin
Kailey P.

Dulce de leche latte was delicious! You can definitely taste the dulce de leche. The horchata latte was a little bit grainy, obviously from the horchata. Blueberry muffin was very good. Not pictured: Cali bacon breakfast bagel. Pretty standard for a bagel sandwich. The staff were very friendly. They have a selection of goods for sale as well. Jams, some clothes, ect. Overall super cute place!

Godawful food, I'm sad to report, because they tried to do something good. The cherry lemonade tasted like Cherry Kool-Aid - zero real fruit flavor, tons of sugar, no tang. The shrimp + chorizo quesadilla seemed like it would be interesting - pineapple black bean salsa! chipotle crema! But the tortillas were worse than in a grocery store, the chorizo was bad, the shrimp was rubbery, and the sauce tasted like French dressing - no more, no less. The Capulin salad dressing was inedible, and the salad was served unmixed in a flat plastic clamshell that made mixing impossible. I hate to give them one star, but that's the accurate rating for here. Really nice workers - who cannot cook. Outside seating - unshaded, and directly facing the sun. Earnest attempt to combine ingredients in ways that they were doing in Cali 20 years ago - without any clue how to put them together.

Veggie Torta

I have found another place I have been sleepin on in Lompoc. I am upset that I have not tried this place before. Their veggie torta and tajin tuna were out of this world. I washed my torta down with a bottled Coke and some flavored chips. I also quickly decided that their bacon macaroni salad was the best I have ever had, and I will return for more. I cannot wait to try more food on their menu. The shop itself is adorable, and the provisions were fun to look at. There were a lot of cute gifts. The staff was super friendly, and the food came out reasonably quickly. Located right across the way, just a short walking distance from the wine ghetto, this would be a fantastic place to soak up all the alcohol from your wine tasting. Please, give this place a try!

Cool quirky spot in a neat location in Lompoc! Kind of like a Mexican version of a Bobs Well Bread and Bakery. Out of the ordinary food offerings that are absolutely delicious! Variety of items on the menu for Breakfast and Lunch, as well as gourmet coffee and other hot and cold drinks. Fast friendly service from the owners. The burrito is HUGE. A+

Just picked up a Roasted Veggie Torta (first timer) and it is SO GOOD!! Vegetarian foods can, in my opinion, be tricky to prepare in order to taste good but not this place. It's fire

My new favorite Mexican inspired coffee/ food spot! Mexi mocha was delicious! Picked up a couple little trinkets from there as well.

Delicious breakfast, friendly service, country store ambiance. We both ordered the avocado toast special and agua Fresca of the day. Perfect pairing! Great for lunch also in between great wine tasting rooms. This local is a one stop get it all done!

Lunch Special, Quesadilla chorizo w/ shrimp.

The customer service was super friendly, I was greeted immediately once I walked in. Inside is a Hispanic cultural setting, lots of parking space, if you sit outside it's very meditating, The best part is the food! Super delicious and definitely hits home, I'm so full and I still have left overs. I Will be coming back again.

Concha Breakfast Sandwich

Capulin is a very unique and delicious new eatery here in Lompoc. Their location is ideal too, right in the middle of several tasting rooms to include Zotivich & Transcendence! The owners are also amazing, Kelly is so nice and makes each customer feel like they are the only ones there. Now let's talk about the food - everything we've tasted has been phenomenal! The Concha Breakfast Sandwich is amazing, it's sweet and savory all in one bite. The Mexican Mocha is unmatched. They add orange peels which takes it to the next level. My favorite dish is the Braised Rib Sandwich! That thing bursts with flavor and is simply delicious. Do yourself a favor and buy one! They've only been open about a month, I suspect they will be around for quite some time. I am excited to see what they do next.

The lunch special chicken tinga.

I went in for the lunch special. It was chicken tinga with black beans, cheese, and a garlic aoli. I ordered an extra side of the aoli. It was delicious, even the side of rice. I was nice and shared half with my husband. He liked it, too. The shredded chicken was very flavorful. I will be ordering this again.

There was a tablespoon of beans at most on the mollette. The eggs were decent - the Pico de Gallo very mild

Eye on I Fantastic…read moreexperience all around. I had the Supreme pizza and my son ordered the Spicy pizza -- both were a hit. The brick-oven pizza is outstanding, and the crust really shines: tasty, crunchy, and perfectly cooked with just the right chew. We also tried the pig in a blanket, which was wonderful and paired really well with the salad. Everything tastes fresh, and it shows -- all ingredients are organic and truly farm-to-table. They have a great drink selection, a welcoming patio for outdoor seating, and a very cool interior. There are lots of interesting details and artwork throughout the space that give it a special vibe -- definitely not a cookie-cutter place. Heather took her time answering all of my questions, and the rest of the staff was genuinely helpful and friendly, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend: the brick-oven Supreme pizza, Spicy pizza, pig in a blanket, and enjoying a drink on the patio. We'll definitely be back.

This restaurant…read moreand lounge, now embedded at the Village Inn, used to be in another location but moved into the newly renovated hotel. It's still quite popular with the locals, so allow wait times on the weekends. LOUNGE (3 Stars): Stopped in on our arrival night and went in for a nightcap. There were four people working the bar/lounge area, but service wasn't great. In fact, we had to request that the bar be wiped down and it was sticky and wet from the previous patrons who were long gone. Cocktails took some time to make and deliver. Seemed like a lot of locals were hanging out, and even though they made cocktails, I would say that this is more of a beer/shots/jack-n-coke kind of place. RESTAURANT (4 Stars): Stopped in for breakfast two days during our hotel visit. The service was better than in the lounge, the food was tasty, and the portions generous. Everyone kept telling me I had to try the breakfast burritos, so I chose the Chorizo Burrito ($14) and it was okay, not "wow". On the other hand, I thought that the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs ($22) with biscuits & gravy was very good, as were the Pancakes ($20), French Toast ($20, and Ham Swiss Scramble ($10). Dave's Place carries through with the mid-century modern décor of the hotel and is a convenient addition to have both a bar and nice restaurant available for your stay, or to visit for locals. We'd stop in again when visiting the area.
