I got a mushroom pizza for around 18 dollars and left a 3 dollar tip. When I left the restaurant the charge I approved was for 21 dollars but when I looked at my credit card bill I saw they had charged me 31 dollars. I don't know if this was malice or some sort of accident but they took 10 dollars from me. So I called the restaurant to report it and was told a manager would call me back which never happened. I would suggest saving your receipt when you go there and checking your credit card afterwards. Update : the manager reached out to me and compensated me for their mistake. As far as hotel restaurants go, this one is top notch. I love that it's connected so I don't have to leave after a long day. They've typically got a nice selection of salads, sandwiches, full entrees, and appetizers. They've also got a few rotating specials. I really enjoyed the ribeye sandwich, and their French fries are good. They also have a great garden salad with chicken if you're looking for something healthier. read more

We were surprised to find the restaurant inside the Hilton Garden Inn and the dining area opened to the hotel lobby. The service was very good and the tri-tip tacos my wife ordered were delicious. The masa appeared to be home made and made the tacos very tasty. I ordered the tri-tip sandwich which was disappointing. The meat was tough and overly salty. What a Surprise - Top Notch Restaurant! Wow, what a surprise! And yes, as many have stated, the location throws you off a bit being right in the entry of the hotel - but don't let that fool you. This is a top-notch restaurant through and through. The fried deviled eggs were amazing and so different from anything I've tried before. The ribeye tacos were tender and tasty, with flavors that really impressed us. If you're hesitant because of the hotel location, don't be. The quality of the food speaks for itself. Don't let the location fool you. As my wife and I drove up we were surprised to see that this eatery is in a hotel. Very non-descriptive dining area but the food and cocktails are excellent. My wife enjoyed the gingerbread martini so much that she had a second one. Their cocktails are delicious and white harvest pizza is incredible. Will return the next in town. I just realized I haven't wrote a review for here and we come here pretty often. My husband and I are huge foodies and we love the rotating menu here. This isn't your average hotel restaurant, the food here is so good, usuay changes with the season. Recently had their poblano pizza and it was a huge hit. We inhaled it. Besides their great food, the cocktails here are top tier. We have only once or twice visited another restaurant Anywhere, not just in lompoc, that has cocktails like this place. The cocktail menu changes often and everything we've ever had has been so flavorful and well-balanced. They hit the nail on the head with flavor every time. We feel so lucky to have a spot like this in our small town that such great food and drinks! read more

It was quite good given the lack of decent options in Lompoc. I had a salad that was excellent.

We heard this is the place to go for a great steak dinner in Lompoc and that the pork belly tacos are amazing. Wrong. Drinks are about the only thing good at this place. The Brussels were lacking flavor, even with the sauce. We asked for salt and pepper but didn't get it until we asked again and had finished Brussels because we were super hungry. The pork belly tacos also lacked flavor and were very dry. The pork was way over cooked. I asked for extra goat cheese, salsa and limes to add flavor but that didn't help. The goat cheese was the most flavorful thing of the night. The bone in rib-eye was also a huge disappointment. Service was friendly but slow. Atmosphere is what you'd expect from a hotel lobby but I expect a lot more from Hilton having stayed at many of their hotels. Overall, don't go unless you want drinks - many better food places in Lompoc. read more

Considering the prices, the food is ok at best. The hostess was rude but helpful. We ordered the bruschetta, which was lacking the vegetables and cheese, the spinach and artichoke deep which was so liquid, the trip tip taco which was ok and the rib eye steak, which was a disaster because of the meat quality. My partner and I were starving and couldn't find a place open so decided to rush down to this place for a bite to eat. Service was ok, nothing great. We ordered the pork belly tacos. They were absolutely horrible. Bland pork belly that had a rank, funky flavor that was much too gamey. Bland corn tortillas, and some weird smear of funky goat cheese on the tortilla. We could not finish the meal. The churros, on the other hand, were amazing! Crispy on the outside, soft, pillowy, and light on the inside with just enough cinnamon and sugar coating. Why would a place rated 4.5 on Yelp be located in a Hilton Garden Inn... suspicious!! Seriously!! I looked at the website for Valle Eatery & Bar and was quickly woo'ed. The website noted that Valle Eatery & Bar is an independent concept (it just happened to be located at a Hilton Garden Inn) and is focused on local ingredients, local wines, local beers, and handcrafted seasonal cocktails. The executive chef grew up in Lompoc, the chef is from San Francisco, St Helena, and New York. Ding Ding Ding!! #NYCLove There is also a food & beverage director on the team. Woot Woot!! A bunch of us headed there - after dinner - for some drinks. I ordered the "Purple Rain #2" off their Happy Hour menu. Purple Rain #2 is made with vodka, violet liquer, hibiscus juice, lime juice, cranberry juice, and simple syrup. *Licks Lips* The drink is beautiful and tastes great too!! My friends ordered some other drinks and pizzas. Curious me tried the Prickly Lady. Not particularly a fan unless you really like Mezcal. The ingredients on the menu were tequila, mezcal, prickly pear syrup, agave nectar, lime juice, champagne float. As for the pizzas, I didn't try any of it but all feedback was positive. For perspective, there were none left and all of us had eaten dinner beforehand. Love the ambiance!! The food is really good and specialty drinks do the job, but the service is incredibly bad. It's pretty shocking. Servers never come back, so we always have to wave them down or literally go find someone. Non-alcoholic drinks are never right (and oddly watery). Every time, it's a hassle to just get the check and be able to leave. It's so weird because there seem to be so many staff just standing around, but heaven forbid we get a napkin or cup of water we asked for 30 minutes ago. The environment is a little tense because the customers sort of make eye contact wondering where the servers are and people get anxious to pay and leave at some point. It's not a very relaxing atmosphere. My advice is, 1) don't go if you're in a rush or a bad mood. This will make that exponentially worse. And 2) don't order the crème brûlée. It's worse than vanilla pudding from the grocery store. It's oddly watery and gelatinous at the exact same time. read more

One of the better hotel restaurants I've experienced. Enjoyed the Cali burger and mango habanero wings. Great espresso martini and smoked cherry old fashioned! Nice surprise when we were looking for a later than expected meal. If you are a Hilton Honors member you definitely must try. Sorry my last update went away. Let's try this again; Decided to try here for Restaurant week deals. The $20.20 meal included appetizer, meal and desert, perfect! We both had the braised short ribs over rice, very good! The appetizer featured charred Brussel sprouts , delicious! Hope they have them on the regular menu from now on. Ribs were sliced thin, savory and done well. The desert however, was amazing! Chocolate panna cota, heaven and a large portion. Hope our sighs of pleasure were not too loud! This the Hilton is a relatively new inn here and the Valle (pronounced "valleee" or " vayeah"?) adds a nice option for us locals. Food always good, service ok and meals arrive fast. One of the wineries we visited on our last wine tasting trip suggested that we check out Valle. As everything they had poured for us that day had been exceptional, we trusted their recommendation, even though the restaurant is located inside a hotel. Our trust was not misplaced - Valle is an amazing venue! Dinner here was exactly what the doctor ordered after a long hard day of wine tasting - aka First World Problems ;-) The food was incredible and the service was top notch - I'd definitely recommend that anyone looking for a great meal in the Lompoc area should plan on making a stop here. I stayed @ the hotel and ordered room service which comes from the restaurant and is the same menu. Ordering was seamless and they estimated my food would arrive within 15 min. Obviously a different experience than if ur in the restaurant and not ordering to the room. I'm also sure times vary depending on occupancy, etc. But overall, the ordering and delivery went well. I ordered the Lompoc tacos and Passion Fruit margarita. The tortillas are home made and yummy. The tacos themselves (tri-tip) were only okay. The meat was actually cold and chewy. I also felt the tacos were pretty dry. They do come with a side of salsa and limes but that didn't do much for the dryness. The margarita was good and I would order it again. read more

This restaurant started out strong but has been lacking in the past couple of years. The food is not consistent and the last time we were there we had to return two items for being burnt. They are critically understaffed and the servers who are there are overworked. They do have good cocktails and when the food is good it's worth it. We have patronized the eatery a number of times over the last 18 months. We live in the area so we can visit as often as we like, (have not stayed in the hotel) This is the only Hilton whose lunch and dinner is open to the public, also they are not required to follow Hilton's standard menu for lunch or dinner. They have a full menu with great selections of appetizers, salads, a couple of great burgers, several steak options and seafood specials. Last night we started off with the Lobster Ceviche, awesome. I had the Chicken sliders excellent, light and flakey house baked biscuit with a lightly breaded chicken breast with a savory sauce with a hint of heat and a small salad as fresh as could be. Finished it off with a Mango IPA from Barrelhouse Brew. Wife had a lettuce wrapped burger she said was cooked perfect it was more like a salad and burger on the plate and using utensils-to eat it They have a full bar along with local wines and a half dozen craft beers on tap.
