Traveling for work and I wanted to eat locally. Most Yelpers pointed me to Bravo pizza. Now I get why it's a local favorite! ambiance: looked set up for delivery or takeout but it had a few tables and chairs. Service: 5/5 couldn't ask for more. I called in to carry out my order of a 1/2 Hawaiian and 1/2 barbecue chicken pizza, with a free side of batons! The voice on the phone was pleasant and knowledgeable. The system sent a pizza preparation updates to my phone which was a nice touch for a non chain restaurant. When I arrived the appointed time, my pizza was fresh out of the oven. Food review: 5/5 great pizza and breadsticks. The batons were bread sticks made from dough that seemed both lighter and more fresh. The barbecue chicken pizza slices and the Hawaiian slices were both delicious and full of toppings and cheese to the edge of the crust. The barbecue chicken pizza sauce and the red sauce were appropriately flavorful without overpowering the flavor of the toppings. I called in the order for 2 grande pizzas and the lady was very friendly. The ambiance was typical of a pizza restaurant. The pizza's were finished on time and they even texted me when the pizza was in the oven. Very helpful. 2 grande pizzas fed about 30 people comfortably. Ordered Mother's Day pizza for the grandsons. So it's been a little while since we had Bravo pizza. Called in for a 18X25" Grande Pizza...1/3 pepperoni 1/3 cheese & 1/3 sausage. This thing is HUGE to feed 3 Healthy Hungry Boys! Now my advice is ask for the pizza 1/2 baked if you're in love with fluffy crust!! We've forgotten a few times & crust is well done (crunch & slight burn). Some times we like it that way. We also ordered 3 orders of the buttery garlic bread sticks (batons). This was our first time trying bravo. The service was not all that. We had received a message that our order was ready and when we arrived the salad wasn't ready. The pizza itself was actually great. I'd come back just for the pizza ONLY. The breadsticks were hard and over baked. The salad looked great but unfortunately I don't like olives so it was unappealing to me. The owner saw me outside in the rain waiting for my ride and told me I could come inside to sit down while I waited. I was freezing from biking down from Santa Maria and readily accepted his offer. As soon as I got inside I could smell the delicious pizza and knew I had to have a slice. Grabbed a small pepperoni and devoured it. One of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. We are in town for spartan race at los olivos. After the race we wanted some good pizza. We landed here and the place was DEAD. We ordered our pizza and waited about 30 minutes. The reason this place is dead is because they are delivering and pick up orders non stop. The pizza came in and we where so hungry no time for pics so sorry. We had half chicken alfredo and the rancher, with some wings. Everything was super delicious and definitely recommend. I suggest order by phone ahead of time. Monday, 30 August 2021 @ 1845 We have been Bravo Pizza patrons for over 30 years. Former owner Andre is a personal friend and I have gone on sailing adventures with him, prior to Andre selling Bravo's to Matt. Mat went to high school with our daughter. My wife tried to order two small speciality pizzas this afternoon after consulting the prices on Bravo's website, which says,"Buy one small, medium or large and get the second half off!" When my wife called Bravo's to order two small speciality pizzas, the young man answering the phone didn't say, "Bravo's Pizza", so she had to ask if they were Bravo's. Then she was quoted the full price for two small speciality pizzas, despite the website's statement that the second pizza would be "...half off!", which she reiterated to them repeatedly. The first Bravo's employee told her the "half off" deal did not apply to small speciality pizzas, although they could make small speciality pizzas. My wife reiterated again that the website clearly stated that the second small pizza would be "half off". She called again and spoke with a young woman and got the same denial of the "half off deal" on small pizzas. She asked to speak to the manager and was told she was the manager. She asked again to speak to Matt the owner and was told the same...not there. Realizing that she still had owner Matt's cell number from the last screwed up order over 18 months ago, all she got was his voice mail. Two years previous, Matt had assured us that they would not screw up anymore 'gluten free' pizza orders when they substituted a wheat crust pizza for a gluten free one. We told Matt at that time that we would not leave a negative Yelp review and he gave us his cell phone number in case there were any future order issues at Bravo's. Matt went to Cabrillo High School with our daughter and we believed there would be no further order screw ups at Bravo's Pizza...so we tried to place today's order on my wife's birthday, her first pizza in nearly two years. But the Bravo's staff refused to honor their website's half off on your second pizza regardless of size deal, saying it only applied to medium & large pizzas. So, after being Bravo's customers for over 30 years, we will no longer be their customer because of their deceptive website. Over many years, Andre told me repeatedly that he had problems getting young people that were good employees. Now that "the kids" are running Bravo's Pizza, it is not worth the aggravation of deceptive advertising. read more
