She is incredibly sweet, hard-working, and goes out of her way to support her community while running the restaurant. Found this place on Yelp and found it had good reviews so decided to give this place a try. It's a hole in the wall, located behind a laundry. Quiet, dark, and unassuming, Angela's looks to be a neighborhood staple for locals. Stopped here on our roadtrip along the coast. As a vegan sometimes it's hard to find a restaurant who can accommodate me. I ordered the fajitas with corn tortillas and whole beans. Added a side of avocado. Guacamole has some sour cream just so you know. Overall it was delicious. My husband got the Combo burrito with carnitas and ate the whole thing! Said it was phenomenal! We come here for Mexican food every time we visit this area. The food is tasty, consistently good and reasonable price with good serving size. The service is friendly and there are lots of tables to spread out. My husband orders the taco plate and I always get the taquito plate, the beans & rice are a nice balance to the taco/taquitos and it never disappoints. The restaurant was a little hard to spot since I'm rarely in Lompoc, but it was well worth the drive. The service was amazing and the lady serving us was so sweet and welcoming! The dinner salad had homemade ranch dressing which was delicious. My girlfriend ordered the chicken mole plate and I had the three item combo with an enchilada, tamale and taco. The mole and tortillas that came with the dinner were delicious! The tamale masa had a kick which made me want to have more. Or just order a la carte for main item only. I wanted to love this place, but... it was just average. Caveat: I'm from San Diego and probably have high standards for Mexican food. Chips and salsa were fine. They went a little hard on the cumin in the salsa. The service was slow, although I will say the server was extremely nice and that almost made up for it. We didn't get our drinks until right before our food came out. The restaurant is very dimly lit and the tables were sticky, with some food stuck in the crevices. The food was okay; I definitely think they cater to quantity over quality. The burrito was huge but the carne asada inside was fatty and you couldn't even pick the thing up to eat it since it was smothered in sauce. Would have loved for the tamale to come in the corn husk wrapper. Fish tacos were pretty small. There is plenty of parking here though. Overall, this wasn't a bad place to grab a meal and might be a solid Mexican food option for the area, it just didn't wow me the way that the reviews led me to believe. read more

Spent the weekend in Lompoc for a getaway weekend from Los Angeles to try some wine and some food obviously. Tried this place and as much as I felt it was okay, nothing really stood out at all. Place isn't bad but I think it's more for the non spicy people that it must cater to. The chips and tomato salsa was just okay, we asked for a spicier salsa and the waitress said that was all they had. Ordered some carne asada Nachos and they were just okay, the asada wasn't great. Had their carnitas burrito and the meat wasn't fried, it was more Chile Verde in a burrito which was fine, but I just feel a crispy carnitas would have been better. Figured this place would have great Mexican Food but unfortunately it was more Tex Mex Style. Which is fine but you won't find spicy or something great here in my opinion. Nice to find an authentic Mexican restaurant in Lompoc. But even though we like spicy food, the mole and coloradito we had were just way too hot. The dried chiles that are normally used in those dishes aren't that spicy so I can only surmise that they're pouring a whole lot of hot sauce into them. my aids lifecycle teammate picked this place. i'm so glad he did because it was just what i need after long days of cycling. it was packed full of aids lifecycle riders, so it was a festive atmosphere that day. i had a cheese enchilada and chile relleno combo plate that came with rice and beans. we had complimentary chips and salsa before that. they have non-spicy and spicy salsas. the spicy is far superior if you can handle the heat. the guac was garlicky and fresh and so good. they only have a beer and wine license, so they don't have real margaritas, just wine margaritas. i opted for a good ol' pacifico, which was so refreshing. the service is wonderful and friendly.y table kept asking for stuff because we were so ravenous, but the servers never got annoyed with us, or at least they didn't show it. haha. read more
