    Chile Relleno Burrito

I want to start off by saying I do door dash sometimes and I've gotten many florianos orders to drop off. Always smells amazing. Big, clean and even has an area to buy meat. It's always peaked my interest and so I got a discount code from door dash and my husband and I thought hey why not finally try florianos? We were super excited he got a lengua burrito and I got a chile relleno burrito. He ordered his with some jalapeno salsa and I added on mine some jalapeños as a free add on. We're very much fans of spicy food but when I tell you that they put so much spice I mean it was almost a punishment more than a meal. I first tried my husbands thinking it was mine and as much as it was good it immediately was disturbingly spicy. But I was like hey whatever he asked for the jalapeno salsa I mean we didn't say how much to put on. So I ignored it trying to stay unbiased because like I said I was eager to eat here for a while. I started eating my burrito and noticed it didn't have meat and honestly for $12 it's a bit wild in my opinion to charged that much for a burrito with no meat. But hey whatever I thought. Times are crazy inflation is high. Also I looked back on the app and it was a $3 charge for meat that I had missed when I was getting my order together so I blamed myself for that. The first half where the chile was, was good. A couple jalapeños here and there not too bad. I liked it the beans were good the rice was good but then I got to the second half of my burrito and I noticed a crazy amount of jalapeños. I started pulling them out and in the picture it shows how many jalapeños I pulled from just that part of the burrito. Keep in mind I've already ate a good amount of jalapeños already. It's like they poured a small can of jalepenos on my burrito. I stopped eating it and my husband tried finishing it for me without the jalapeños in it. He said it tasted like it was soaked in jalapeno juice. That being said I'm willing to try it again and hopefully whoever made it was just someone having a bad day. ‍

I reserved the banquet room for a family gathering. This party was arranged with restaurant manager, Antonio. He was very helpful and attention to detail from start to finish. The food was freshly prepared and served beautifully. If you ever want a local place for a large gathering with friends and family, I highly recommend Floriano's.

Arrived in town, looking for a solid meal. This place was perfect. We placed our order, paid for it and sat down. 10 minutes later our food arrived. We opted for the shrimp ceviche tostado which was full of plump shrimp. Everything was well seasoned. We also had the beef tongue taco salad, which was full of tender tongue. We had the children's taco order (2) carnitas which came with beans and rice. Very tasty and proportioned nicely. We thoroughly enjoyed sampling the salsa bar. Hard to pick a favorite- they were all distinctively different. Overall- a great meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

The food is always good. The only issue is that the chicken taco wasn't flavorful but every other item I ordered was good and amazing.

The first time I got their chilaquiles with green sauce which were very yummy. The second time I tried their chorizo breakfast burrito and I added a side of bacon and I subbed their tater tots for a sliced Roma tomato. It really hit the spot. The service was speedy, welcoming, and accommodating. Please don't be that person that saves a table before you order, staff will call you on it and it is just rude. They had many options for whatever mood you are in and the location is also superb for a nice outdoor brunch with some great people watching. I got their cold brew for an iced latte, which comes from the Santa Barbara Roasting Company, and it was both refreshing and jolting in the best way. 10 out of 10. I highly recommend Brekkies.

The hollandaise was like Denny's. The salmon not very fresh. We may as well have eaten at IHOP. Also blasting country music directly into your ear holes. Respect to people who like country, but does it need to be so loud? Patio is decently cute. Ambiance inside is a choice. And prices are kinda surprising given the quality at Solvang Restaurant and Belgian Cafe are superior for similar pricing. If you're looking for familiar middle America diner, this is it. The one thing that stood out was the tater tots - possibly best I've ever had.

A decade later and this spot is still excellent!…read more I customized Kay's Orcutt Original into a scramble instead of an omelet. It wasn't a pretty plate, but it tasted great. Definitely get the hash browns with whatever you order. Sitting at the counter gave me a front-row seat to the kitchen prep. We normally sit in the open patio/sunroom area, which has a really nice country-style atmosphere, and the food has always been good. Our waiter was also very nice, courteous, and attentive, so I have no complaints about the service he provided. Unfortunately, this visit was very different because we were seated directly in front of the area where the kitchen staff was cooking, prepping, and washing dishes. Throughout our meal, I could hear several members of the kitchen staff joking around and talking loudly. Horseplay among coworkers normally wouldn't bother me, but the language being used was extremely vulgar. Most of it was being said in Spanish, and I got the impression they assumed the customers nearby didn't understand Spanish. One phrase in particular, "a la verga," was being repeated constantly -- "vete a la verga," "a la verga esto," "a la verga lo otro," over and over again. Without getting into a literal translation, it is an extremely vulgar phrase, roughly equivalent to repeatedly saying things like "fuck that, fuck him" and roughly translated to they can eat a dick, he can eat a dick, they can eat a dick. I was sitting there with three young children who understand Spanish, trying to enjoy eggs and hash browns with my family while listening to this language coming from the kitchen over and over again. That's simply not appropriate in a family restaurant. Eventually, I got up and approached the kitchen staff myself. I politely asked them, in both Spanish and English, if they could please keep the vulgar language down because I had young children with me. The employee who had been using the phrase the most acted as though he didn't understand what I was saying and then pointed me toward another employee wearing a blue polo. I explained the same thing to him -- that we were trying to enjoy a family brunch and could clearly hear the constant vulgar language. Unfortunately, he seemed uninterested, appeared to be in a hurry, and essentially brushed off my concern. I didn't believe he was the manager because I would hope a manager wouldn't handle a legitimate customer concern that way. I later spoke with the actual manager, who told me she would address the issue with the kitchen staff, which I appreciated. The food was still good and our waiter did a great job, so my complaint isn't about them. It's specifically about the professionalism of the kitchen staff and the way my initial concern was handled. My recommendation to families with young children would be to ask to sit as far away from the kitchen area as possible. And if you hear this type of language, say something. Employees should be able to joke and enjoy working together, but repeatedly using extremely vulgar language loud enough for customers and children to hear is unacceptable in a family restaurant.
