Here to say the food is amazing and the service is horrible. I seen a review saying it's bad service because they aren't Mexican and that isn't true they are rude to Mexicans as well. I called to order to go, spoke in Spanish and all and got a rude girl acting like she didn't know what I was saying and she was giggling with another worker too. Every time I come they are rude in person or on the phone. Only reason I return is for the food so strictly TOGO. We are given a number and told they will charge when they deliver the food. 45 minutes later and we what's taking so long they. They say the carnitas are being made and will be ready in 30 minutes. 2 stars because the carnitas, buche, and tortillas are really good here. However, their customer service is horrible. I love seeing good food in this area but with the way they treat their customers it makes me wish they were no longer in service. It is always a wait time here and if you get upset that they're taking too long on a meal that you ordered 30 minutes before they'll make you wait longer. i enjoyed the food but the employees are terrible. I saw a review about how they use the racial card and I believe it. They serve the Hispanic community before anyone but they are also very rude to them. I was there this morning and witnessed a man wait for his tortillas and then was told to wait even longer so he waited a total of an hour. The man was upset of course and instead of apologizing for the wait they threatened to call the cops. I am bilingual so of course understood everything. I would have been upset also if they kept lying to me about how long my items would take. If the employees here treat people like that I can just imagine what they do to the food. I'm giving them a solid 3 stars bc their chicken is bomb! Their tortillas are also pretty good. 2nd best in town. And it leaves room for improvement. I always see the staff working very hard. This place is called "La Reyna" for a reason! Order tacos, the weird stuff: buche, tripas, lengua... they are THE BEST. My boyfriend and I roll our eyes in disbelief of how good they are the entire meal. The negative reviews on here make me sad! You don't go to a hole in the wall taco joint for great customer service, you go for the food! This place delivers. Meat is always tender, the tortillas made fresh and always warm. Salsa is on point. The girl at the counter is shy, but always very sweet to us. Bonus points if you learn how to order tacos in Spanish, and hey, it's a good life skill. I almost didn't want to review this place because I like that it's our little secret... but they deserve 5 stars for the quality of food they are putting out. They would have the best carne asada fries in lompoc, of they just cooked the fries a little bit longer. As you can see from the picture, it's just a soggy barely cooked potato. It taste just like a raw potato instead of it being crispy. I order this and then flip it upside down and put it on my oven when I get home so it would be more crispy, which is sad since it should already be cooked properly. Regular carne asada fries already gets soggy from all the toppings after a few minutes, so you can feel my pain after the fries I receive is barely cooked already. read more

Usually love going there for a burrito, sopes or nachos. However tonight wasn't the case when I ordered my usual favorite burrito al pastor. The girl at the counter didn't tell meI would have to wait extra because they have to prepare the al pastor meat. After waiting for thirty minutes I asked them to change my order to asada. The girl cashier got an attitude problem because I felt she should have communicated that with me and she told me I was being disrespectful. Food is great. Customer service is terrible. Girl on the cash register ignores that she has a customer in front.. So she acknowledges her high school buddies to chat while I stand there.. Also I come from LA, all the Hispanic establishments are gracious in the amounts of salsa and all the complimentary items they let you have to enjoy the food. My husband and I went in to get dinner as we've previously done before.The food is usually bomb and i've had no complaints on the quality. It was pretty loud up at the counter and hard to hear/talk and I had to embarassingly ask the cashier to repeat herself several times which might have frustrated her. I have a regular I go for but this time I ordered something on the menu that I hadn't before and asked if it came with jalapeno which isn't traditional but I wanted to be cautious. She laughed at me in response and seemed pretty pissed for the rest of the transaction. When we got home and started eating our food I noticed that there were little chilis from the aciete in the middle of the beans and throughout the rest of our food. Unfortunate as this is the first time we've had any problems like this and don't really want to have a negative view of a place we frequent with friends and fam. read more

I have been looking for a good little family owned Mexican food restaurant and well I found one!!! Friendly staff! Decent variety of choices, good prices, and well very yummy food. Every time we go they are busy! But our food always comes out delicious. So it's worth the wait. So far I have no complaints about this place!!! I will continue to go back and enjoy their food.
