I go often to El Pollo Loco's for a quick lunch, I like using their app to find deals and get my food quickly without waiting. I typically get chicken al carbon tacos, great deal and on corn tortillas a fairly healthier option vs typical fast food. This is the first El Pollo Loco I have been to that has no inside seating, there is only a drive thru or patio dining and bathrooms are outside in the back of this location. It seemed newer and it was clean and maintained well, the bathrooms were also very clean, which for being outside was a bit of a nice surprise. Although the concept is nice and I had no issues, I would prefer the option to dine inside or outside, so I am dropping the rating a bit here. The servers were OK, not too friendly, but then again I just grabbed my food and asked for one refill, could have been an off day. Either way, not a bad location, food is always quick and good and a good option when traveling in the area, I always recommend El Pollo Loco. Just know you will be outside only if that is a deal breaker for you by chance. Enjoy! read more

Wifey and I were heading home and feeling hungry, and as we were passing El Pollo Loco we realized we had not tried THIS one yet. The business is still new but clearly being well maintained by current ownership and staff, as it's nice and clean and at the window (drive through) I could see the kitchen is quite clean too. Service was lightning fast and courteous, and our order was accurately completed. The food (It's El Pollo Loco) presented quite well for drive through, professionally wrapped, hot and quality servings that matched value to cost. Ok you fine people of Lompoc let me put you on the game that is pollo loco... this chicken is an institution in Los Angeles. It's citrus grilled whole chicken on an open flame and they've been doing this since they were established in 1975. Always a fresh, healthier option for you than those other fried chicken places. I say this because the young lady that helped me at the drive-thru (Karissa) told me she had never heard of this business until she started working here. And to quote her after I asked her if she liked the food she said "it's gas" lol. So in other words it's good ladies and gentleman. This specific location doesn't offer indoor dinning like most LA locations but they do have out door seating with a walk up window and drive-thru. The staff was courteous and easy to engage. That's always a plus when going out to eat. It's rather loud but only because it's located on H street which is the Main Street that runs through town. Also download their app like I have to get free perks like a free side of chips and guac as I did today or discounts on online orders or in person orders. New location that has a drive thru and a walk up ordering window that is outdoors. The parking is little and the offset may park at Walgreens and I am not sure if that is a permanent thing. The cole slaw was missing flavor and the rice very hard. As a local I'm incredibly happy to have a new restaurant, especially one with amazing service and great food. Their chicken is very tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The wait for the food is hardly ever long and it always comes out hot and fresh. The manager is very kind and courteous and on multiple occasions made sure I've had a good experience. The Only thing I have an issue with is the outdoor seating, it's loud because it's on the Main Street and it gets extremely cold once it gets later in the day.
