A++ for the creativity - like seriously, palak paneer as a cocktail!? Albeit it was clarified and the flavor was mild, but kudos to the team for thinking outside the box and reimagining Indian cocktails. We enjoyed celebrating my husbands birthday on a Sunday evening. Reservations were easy to get through Resy and we were seated almost immediately. We tried the clarified cocktail flight (loved the chaat flavored one!), parle G cocktail, and also the ghee one. All of them were unique. I think the appetizers could've been better - the only ones we liked were the palak chaat and the chicken, the paneer tikka and pakode were not exceptional. The space is interesting - I think sitting closer to the entrance is likely better and can make it feel less loud.

The drinks were all pretty well thought out with unique concepts: Two Minute Quickie - which was the Maggi-inspired drink, definitely tasted like Maggi seasoning and leaned more on the savory side. Parle G-Spot - My personal favorite, especially loved the foam. Pink City, Red Light - Was sweeter, more floral type of drink , which we still enjoyed. Yuzual Suspect - My boyfriend's favorite drink. In terms of food, we really enjoyed everything. The chili onion kulcha was actually spicy, and the butter chicken was also really good. This place does run on the pricier side, but overall we enjoyed our time, so it was worth it.

Finally checked out this well-known spot and overall had a pleasant experience. I really appreciated that the menu offered a good variety of vegetarian options, which made ordering easy. To start, we tried a couple of their creative cocktails. "How Can She Slap" was fairly good, while "Nuthin' But a Ghee Thank" really stood out -- it had a lovely smoky flavor that we truly enjoyed. For appetizers, we ordered the Palak Chaat and Paneer Tikka. Both were flavorful, though the paneer was quite spicy, so just a heads-up if you prefer milder food. For the main course, we had Kadhai Paneer with Garlic Naan and Roti, which was satisfying and nicely prepared. By the end we were too full for dessert, and the dessert selection also seemed somewhat limited. Since it's also a cocktail bar, they have a small standing area in the corner where people can enjoy their drinks, which I thought was a really cool touch and adds to the vibe of the place. The ambience was lively and the service was good as well. The food was enjoyable overall, though it does fall on the higher-priced side. They also offer an evening "Chai Nashta" menu with a variety of snack options that looked quite interesting -- something we'd definitely like to try next time. Overall, a nice dining experience with good food, drinks, and atmosphere, though slightly expensive.

    How can she slap?

Cool spot for more of a happy hour vibe with interesting cocktails and a quick bite. Probably not somewhere I'd go for a full sit-down dinner, but definitely a fun place to hang out for drinks. They're known for their specialty Indian-inspired cocktails. I tried the "How Can She Slap?" and "Nothing But a Ghee Thang," and both were great. The mango and whiskey combo in the How Can She Slap? was especially really good. Food wise, the goat keema is a good shareable dish but it does have a nice spicy kick to it.

I visited because I had heard amazing things about the cocktails. Honestly, I wasn't so impressed. I ordered the bourbon cocktail and could not taste the "ghee". The rasmalai cocktail my friend ordered was too 'saffron'y. The arbi and Amritsari fish were so fried and coated with a thick batter. The almond halva was not rich enough IMO - more like a porridge. We ordered 6 small plates, 3 breads, 3 drinks and 1 cocktail flight. Overall the food and experience was good yes but nothing really bowled me over. Is this place making things better than the Indian restaurants on Lexington ave? The price tag does make you compare. Not sure I agree there. The presentation is better for sure. The ambiance here is nice. The service was great for sure too. A place has to have repeat value - not sure if this has it for me.

The atmosphere here feels like the poshest restaurant in a Tier 2 Indian metro - maybe Indore? Everything is very nice but just a little bit off (the high chairs at the bar are TOO high), it's very empty, and as soon as you walk out you find yourself in the chawl that is New York's ittar ki galli (aka 30th Street). Anyway I'm being a hater, but there are 4 stars with my review because the paneer tikka kebab was legitimately very good. (And in fairness, I've always had good meals at these sorts of posh eateries in Tier 2 metros). The paneer was perfectly crispy outside and soft on the inside - one of the best housemade paneers I've had in the city. Old Monk is oddly absent from the rum selection, but there are a variety of other desi brews in stock.

An elevated spot for authentic north indian tapas & top notch cocktails. All of the cocktails are Indian inspired and very unique . Some names that you read make you feel like " I would never have that in a drink " but it surprises you and tastes excellant. The paneer tikka was a highlight for me . It was packed with flavor and non -greesy. The restaurnt is extremly expensive , I paid $30 for 3 pcs for a plate of paneer tikka. They do not hold back on the spice so a fair warning for people with a mild palate. The staff was attentive knowledgeable and suggestive which I appreciate the most. We also did the high tea which was nostalgia at its peak .The vibe is cozy & an excellant spot for conversation.

Decided to check out this place during my latest trip to New York. Came here on a Sunday but had to make a reservation before that. Now, one would imagine that if you're requiring reservations you'd have someone to greet you when you arrive. No hosts on duty at 10 PM. However, a bar tender sat me. The ambience is very fun. Lots of old Bollywood remixed songs and 90s pop songs. Decor was average nothing to really talk about. For drinks, I tasted two gin based drinks and decided to go with paneer gin. It was light and delish. Kinda like chartreuse but better. The. I ordered Chicken Angara based on the recommendation from the bar tender. I think his name was Dilnath. The bar tender also recommended Keema Pav but I didn't want to eat too heavy at night. That chicken angara was bomb! So packed with flavors. The chicken was juicy and tender and definitely lived up to the hype. The mint chutney should not be ignored. It's a medium spicy so check with your spice tolerance. Dilnath and Sean were the most attentive bar tenders and I was so appreciate of their suggestions. Definitely worth a visit. One drink and one order of chicken amounted to 59.88 . So if you and your friends, co-workers, families are in a mood to splurge and have a good time definitely visit.

INDN completely exceeded every expectation. Knowing it's owned by Vicky Vij (who owns Bukhara and catered our wedding) and his daughter/ son in law--we came in excited, and somehow it still managed to knock our socks off. This is a truly classy tapas-style cocktail bar with impeccable vibes and an atmosphere that feels both elevated and welcoming. Every single dish we tried was outstanding, but the samosa chaat deserves a special mention--it was my absolute favorite and honestly unforgettable. The vada pav, soy chaamp, and mushroom keema were all packed with bold, perfectly balanced flavors. There's genuinely no room for suggestions here--everything from the food to the cocktails to the ambiance was perfection. We'll absolutely be back many times. Easily a beyond 5 star experience.

Came with a couple friends on a Thursday night, and it was bustling! I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance, because our wait was over an hour. The restaurant space is somewhat compact, but they make a good use of the space with low dining tables - mostly two person tables and a few larger tables for big groups, - and a sizable full service bar. My friends and I ended up sitting at the bar, which was beautifully lit and had a minimalistic aesthetic similar to the rest of the space. We ordered some cocktails to start. I had the Pickle Backstabber and my friends had the How can she slap? And Nothin' But a Ghee Thing. The drinks were all very good and very different in flavor profile. If you want something on the sweeter end, I recommend the how can she slap? - the mango definitely comes through as the dominant flavor. The pickle Backstabber had more of a salty, savory profile, as you might expect given the name. The Nothin' But a Ghee Thing was their take on an old fashioned. All the dishes are shareables, yet the portions are still somewhat sizable, which is great. We had the spinach patties, 10-spice battered fish, spice marinated chicken, and charred mushrooms. All the dishes were delicious and I would order them again; but I found that despite being different dishes, they all kind of had the same flavor. The dishes were spicy, and they all came with the same green chutney. It would've been nice to have different chutneys or sauces to go with the dishes to give some variety. Because overall, it all tasted the same, especially with the level of spiciness that seemed to drown all the other flavors out -- in my opinion. Service is great, and the staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively with lots of conversation and energy about the space. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu items and cocktails!

This is a very overpriced place. My two tiny kebabs that were supposed to be from lamb and tasted like a cardboard, were $33. The food they offer is not worse if your time and it should not have name of Indian restaurant. Do not go there

I definitely recommend checking this place out. Every dish I tried was flavorful and well thought out. The only downside was the $8 garlic naan, which was pretty small and not really worth it. Aside from that, the service was good, the host seated us right away, and the space is nice and perfect for a little date.

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer.
