An amazing experience for halal Indian fine dining that I recommend everyone try at least once during their time in nyc. They have a 3 course pre fix menu however you have the option to do 4 course and add a wine pairing as well, we did the 3 course. The appetizers were a chaat, pani puri, samosa, mirch pakora which came in a cute spiral stand display. Even though the bites were small, they all were cooked to perfection and tasted really good. For the main course we ordered chicken gassi and shank lal Maas. The meat was so tender for both, paired perfectly with the naan and daals that came with. Tasted like a home cooked meal in the best way. The service was amazing as well, the waiters were so attentive, cleaning dishes , refilling water, and frequently checking in on us. Great experience overall would definitely recommend

I was expecting better. Wish there was more spice and seasoning. Flavors were very muted. Drink were pretty good. The yellow was delicious. Service was good and the ambiance is nice.

It's a beautifu beautiful looking restaurant with even better tasting food. The food was visually stunning and extremely well balanced .The service was impeccable, staff knew their part about the menu & cuisine , recommendations were on point . The deserts on the menu were a tad bit disappointing however they gave us a complimentary chocolate mousse to celebrate our anniversary which was wonderful.

*summer restaurant week menu* Food was delicious and packed full of flavor. The shrimp moilee was my favorite. Service was impeccable, my water never dipped below 50% glass and it kept getting refilled. Waiters and waitresses are very attentive and accommodating, felt welcomed Environment is very nice. Warm lighting and dimly lit for a more intimate setting, but still feels business casual Overall good luck, would want to come back and try other items

This is a modern Indian cuisine restaurant in the Flatiron area. It seems like they only have set menus. I got their 3 dishes courses. The first course is a set of canapé, while I got the octopus for the second, and goat shank as the third. I really enjoyed everything I had. They also come with a number of side dishes include rice and breads. I think my favorite side dish was their fried okra with raspberry sauce

The most wonderful tasting menu experience in NYC, hands down. Called a Journey Through India, a puzzle map of India is placed in front of the table and filled in with each course as each course is inspired from cuisine from a specific state or region. What I really appreciated too was the tasting menu being printed out with a personalized happy birthday message for me -- truly, it's in the details. I can't even pick out a favorite course. They were all so unique, delicious, and exquisitely presented. Notice the park bench in the dessert course -- an ode to Madison Square Park and signaling that our journey to India ended back in NYC, where Junoon has been for the past 15 years. Highly, highly recommend this tasting menu for any special occasion!

I have a whole list of places in NYC on my foodie list and this was just one of the many Jndian places on it. Really lovely three course meal for $49/person with ample options for vegetarian and others. I got the bhindi chaat, achaari paneer and paan popsicle. The cocktail was pretty weak but I wasn't too upset by that.

Junoon is a beautiful spot with an elegant ambiance and warm service. Our server, Rahul, was a sweetie ... we even joked about SRK and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which he hears often btw lol. The ghost chili murgh tikka, tandoori octopus, and Surya Namaskar were standout dishes. Portions are generous with either 2 or 3 course options or a chef's tasting menu, as there's no a la carte. The Flight to India cocktail set had a stunning presentation! Price point was fair considering.. A lovely experience overall.

We came to Junoon for a catch-up dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the set menu options only. They offer 3, 4, or 5 courses with drinks available at an extra charge. We all chose the 3-course option, starting with the eggplant appetizer which lived up to the hype. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with sauces, it was a standout. For mains, we tried the kofta makhani, ghost chili, and crab XO. The crab was underwhelming but the kofta and ghost chili were both rich and creamy. Each entrée comes with naan, rice, and daal, making the meal hearty and filling. Service was impeccable, they were attentive, well-timed, and thoughtful throughout. The elegant ambiance adds to the experience, and it's easy to see why Junoon earned Michelin recognition for so many years.

Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the city hands down. I had some amazing food here that was flavorful, innovative, and so tasty! Came here for restaurant week and ordered the eggplant chaat and paneer to start. We had to wait a little bit for our food so the manager gave us complimentary passion fruit jaljeera shots which were so delicious! The eggplant chaat was my favorite. It was crispy eggplant pakoras done as a form of chaat, and done really well. We then went for the main dishes which was the ghost chili lotus root dumplings and the paneer tikka with naan, and rice. The ghost chili wasn't too spicy and it was the perfect dish. I would go back just for that curry because it was so addicting! The desserts we got were the rice pudding and the kulfi pops. I was so impressed with the Ube malai kulfi and the pudding, both were my favorite. We paid $45 each for a full three courses and left full, which in NYC is a crazy good deal for a high end restaurant. Junoon is Michelin star for a reason and I can't wait to have another meal here!

We booked a reservation on Friday for a Friday night dinner. It was pretty easy to make the reservation. The staff were very friendly. The service was excellent. I have a mixed feeling about food. It started high and ended low. They offered only set tasting menu. We tried the zero proof cocktails/juice. Passionfruit jaljeera: 9/10. Very unique taste. A little sweet, a little sour, plus a hinge of saltiness. It really worked up my appetite. You can taste a bit of cilantro in it. So if you don't like that flavor, don't order it. Shikanji: sweet and slightly salty too. 8/10 Spring salad- 6/10. Just like veggie juice. We loved their small plates. Eggplant chaat-8/10. crunchy and a little sweet too. Tuna puchka-8/10. The sauce for it tasted similar to the Passionfruit drink I had, thought the sauce is bit milder in the sweetness and saltiness. Ghost Chili Murgh Tikka:10/10. The chicken is cooked to perfection! Cooked just right, juicy and flavorful. The main courses: Mushroom saag: 7/10. Unique sauce, but not sure if I like it that much. Only a few mushrooms in the dish. Shrimp Moilee: so yummy! slightly sweet, salty with coconut flavor infused throughout. But ONLY 3 SHRIMPs. The flavor is 9/10 and quantity of the shrimps is 1/10. Murgh Pyaza: 7/10. Tasted just like chicken masala. Nothing stands out. Again, 3 small bite of chicken. Desert: total disappointment. Pop tasted like soap. The best of all 3 we tried was the Ma's pudding, which wasn't even special. I understand why some people left 1 or 2 star reviews. The portion sizes were laughable. Our satisfaction declined from the small plates to the main courses, and completely crashed with the desserts. I wish we were allowed to have the small plates 3 times, and skip the main courses and the deserts. I wish I could go back for just the small plates.

Oh my god!!! Go! Absolutely amazing Indian food. So beautifully crafted the favor profile had so many layers!!! Please have GHOST CHILI MURGH TIKKA and the TUNA PUCHKA is an art form and exploration of favor in one bite!!! So cool And the NADRU GHOST CHILI KORMA was so unique in flavor and the PARSI SHRIMP CURRY was so yummy! I don't think you can go wrong with anything in the menu! If you want something different come here! It's my new favorite place!

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation.
