Food is expensive and still not seasoned or cooked well. The prawns idli was undercooked, and the plates were so small.

Came here on a Tuesday night and still had to wait 15 minutes to get seated with reservations. I thought the flavors for each dish was excellent but not worth the prices. Left feeling like I ate a snack even though we ordered a lot of plates. It's worth it to try just once. I liked the curry branzino and lassi. The sunset dessert was very small and it didn't really taste good.

Amazing experience at Kanyakumari. First time visiting, and I can already say it's the best Indian food I've had in North America so far. The South Indian flavors really come through, bold, spicy, and genuinely complex in all the right ways. Everything was excellent, but I'd highly recommend the dosa and the dry baby goat curry (it was a special, so not sure if it'll be on the menu when you go). I also had the pleasure of meeting the chef, who had just moved from Lungi, and made sure to give him his well-deserved compliments. Service was decent, though I did have to follow up on my cocktail. The ambiance is lovely with the dim, moody lighting, but the tables are quite close together and it does get a bit loud. Would absolutely come back. The food alone makes it worth it.

Great service and ambiance. I thought the food was pretty good, we got the duck roast, branzino and shrimp. What stood out the most was the duck roast, I haven't had anything like that before and it was delicious While the branzino and shrimp were really good, they weren't enough for me to want to come again. There's a lot of competition in NYC for Indian food I still recommend this place to someone who wants good food!

an absolute amazing Cana experience with a very well on out menu. To start they gave us some rest and we ordered the dip. I saw them bond along with the mutton biryani. Everything was absolutely amazing and the spice level was palatable. Our service was fast and our waiter knew all the options. We made a reservation and there was plenty of seating. Beautiful restaurant!

Had a great experience during my first time here. The masala dosa was the star of the show by far. Their special at the time was chicken 65 biryani which I thought was pretty unique and tasted great. I also recommend the mango lassi it was sooo good and had a nice twist to it.

I have now gone to Kanyakumari twice and I've had a different experience each time! The curry leaf cocktail is absolutely divine! We ordered the Vada Pav, duck toddy, short rib, fried chicken, crab sukka, and the idli. The Vada Pav, crab sukka, short rib, and the idli were great! I felt the duck toddy and fried chicken were a miss the second time. Service was great- our servers were very attentive and helpful! It's a gorgeous restaurant as well. I will be back to try the rest of the menu again!

Uhm a complex experience. We came with a group of 6 so we can try more dishes! PROS: Malvani Chicken - fav mains, most flavorful. Steam Rice Cake was good, very flavorful. Interesting. Black Gold Beef - very tender. Lamb Biriyani - It doesn't taste like lamb at all. Quite delicious. Cocktails were pretty interesting. MID: Gruruprasad Dosa was good but kinda absurd priced at $20 Fish Curry - mild not much character. Fried Chicken - some of us like it, I didn't like that it was small pieces and mostly I tasted was the batter. CONS: Prawn Curry - it was really just 5 small shrimps not prawn, flavor was also unmemorable. Neer Dosa - we had no idea what to do with it, the plate was untouched. Our server was trying to get us order two order of any appetizer and sides we ordered since we were a group of 6. We were firm on let's start with 1 of each. And he pushed for the Steam Rice Cake for 2 orders again so we went for it, 1 order was basically untouched. Really dislike when servers push unnecessary extra order. Overall sort of lack on the flavor bombs that we expect from Indian restaurant, the spice seems going on safer and milder side.

Delicious food and wonderful service! Got the coconut chicken and shared with a friend. The rice was delicious and had some more fragrance to it than I usually expect. The chicken was creamy and had nice coconut and peanut flavors. One thing I will say is that this is definitely a more expensive restaurant for what you get, but sharing with a friend makes it a relatively good deal.

Again the food and flavors is why u come back. Slow cooked rib/beef: 10/10 2nd time I ordered, decadently delicious Ildi guntur: 8.8/10 what texture and flavor! Chutney sampler: 7/10 flavor was 8 but you can tell it was prepared earlier... not so fresh Mussels: 3/10 very dissatisfying Chicken curry: 9/10 simply delicious Ghee rice: 8/10 Parotha: 9/10 Indian croissant Great restraint, will go back for the third time!

Had such a great date night at Kanyakamuri this past Saturday. My boyfriend took me, and wow -- this place is not your standard Indian restaurant. The flavors were familiar but done in a way that felt totally new, really thoughtful, and genuinely delicious. We started with the "From Goa" clams, and they completely blew us away. Super flavorful, aromatic, and such a unique preparation -- plus the portion was way bigger than we expected. For our main, we shared the "From Manglore" shrimp curry with ghee rice and the Malabar parotha, and every single thing was spectacular. Rich, balanced, and cooked perfectly. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and interesting -- definitely more character than the typical, minimal restaurant decor you see everywhere. And our server was incredible: kind, attentive, checked in just the right amount, and didn't push us to over-order. Definitely a standout spot and one we'll be coming back to. Perfect for a cozy, elevated date night.

One word - stellar! Service, Ambiance and food is top notch.. it's South Indian cuisine from the coast (Kerala). Menu is unique and diverse . We got crab sukka ( shell and all) and what a treat it was.. Vada Pav, chicken strips, prawn idli for appetizer were all good. For mains we got chicken malwani, beef and appams- so delicious. The dessert called Sunset was quite a presentation. It was a trio of Modak, Coffee halva and ada pradhanam.. my favorite was the coffee halva. The theme of the coast and seashells runs in decor and menu. Drinks were absolutely wonderful

Dining at Kanyakumari was a lovely experience! The ambience is very chic and elegant. The service was also very attentive! I felt welcomed from the moment I stepped through the door. We ordered a few dishes, and I must say the Slow Cooked Black Gold Beef was my favorite! The beef was so tender and tasty. It was literally falling off the bone! I did enjoy the spiciness of it, which was not an overwhelming heat. I do not enjoy my dishes are overly spicy, but this dish had a nice, balanced flavor. The Hira Anna Fried Chicken was my second favorite dish. The chicken was flavorful and crispy. It served as a great appetizer to share. The Guruprasad Dosa was flaky and crispy as well. I loved each of the dipping sauces that came with it. The flavors were unique and refreshing. This dish is also nice to share with your dinner party. We also ordered the Amma Mess Fish Curry, which tasted great; I just thought the sauce was a bit overwhelming. Definitely order a side of rice with this dish to fully enjoy it.

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped.
