First Timers This was my first time to India Palace and I was excited based on all the positive reviews I had read . As you walk into the India Palace you noticd the decor is very nice, the restaurant is well lit for the low light atmosphere, and the music and dance videos are entertaining as you dine. The staff at India Palace are very knowledgeable and helpful. They were more than happy to assist us with selecting entrees based on our preferences. On this visit we decided to have the lunch buffet. The buffet at India Palace is very moderately priced, and offeres good options for both the Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian eaters. All our entrees were very good. The curry chicken, tikka masala, daal tarka, tandoori chicken, rice, and desserts were all very flavorful, tender, and fresh. However, I think my favorite item was the hot fresh naan. You are served hot fresh naan at your table and after my second round I was asked if I would like to taste the garlic naan! Heck yes. The regular naan was great thin, soft, and tasty but the garlic naan was so delicious. If you visit India Pakace you have to try the ice tea-just a hint of cinnamon in it, very refreshing. This place has the best food on their buffet ana it's priced so reasonable. The buffet has so many options as I'm vegan and don't eat meat i was so surprised of all options available . Theres even dessert to chose from. The customer service is great too! I will be back soon! read more

Really great lunch buffet experience every time! The place is clean and the people are friendly. Food is awesome. You get fresh, hot naan to go with your meal. The buffet selection (about 8-10 main items, not including salad/dessert) is different every visit and never disappoints. They have both vegetarian and meat options. They even have self serve hot chai. My husband and I try to grab lunch here every few weeks, and every time we're always exclaiming to each other how delicious the food is and how much we love it there. After trying a few other indian restaurants in the area over the years, we've agreed that this one is the best by far. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommended. read more

I come here for a great lunch two or three times a week! Especially reliable is the saag, mutter paneer, peas and mushrooms in butter sauce, and the spinach pekora. The biryani and tandoori are always perfect, and the lamb curry is a nice treat, tender and spicy. Try the yummy chai on tap, too! read more

I have been coming here for several years now and the food and service are consistently good. The menu is wide ranging and you can choose the 'hotness level' of your dish.. I like 'hot' but I'm used to Indian food - you might want to start on 'mild' or 'medium'... I especially like the Karahi Chicken. The Bombay Aloo are awesome - I ALWAYS get those, no matter what entree I'm getting. The garlic naan is also excellent. Friendly, efficient service and a reasonable selection of beers and other alcoholic beverages as well as the usual non alcoholic ones. If you want an authentic Indian food experience, this is the place to come. At lunchtime the buffet is excellent and represents awesome value for money; it's also a great way to sample many different things to discover what you like. read more

One of my favorite Indian cuisine up in this area. Very authentic, nice service, clean, and a relaxing feel. They have a very tasty variety of choices. Their somosas are one of the best ones I had compared to alot of other Indian places that I had tried. They have more fillings and its not all crust. I have alot of favoites here but you can't go wrong with any masalas or biryanis. The food spice is perfect and not overwelming. This place is open pretty late. Tucked in the corner of the center, India palace is a good place to go to for Indian food. I ordered the chicken tikka masala plate with a side of rice. The rice is well cooked and the spice in it is very fresh. The chicken tikka masala is different from the usual ones I've had. It's sweeter and the part of the chicken is different than the chunks you get elsewhere. It's very soft and retains the taste of the chicken well. The sweetness is kind of odd but it is interesting. I don't have a big sweet tooth so I would prefer it to have had a stronger spice taste instead. That being said, the sweetness did complement the sauce well. Pros: - They give you a lot of rice. - You can choose how spicy the dishes are. I love that. - It has a really good Indian feel to it. It doesn't feel fake or a front. Cons: - The fans!!!! Holy Molly. The ceiling fans spin around under the lights. So you have a shadow of the moving fan moving in a strobe like effect. Gave me a headache. - Not really a con but could be annoying to some: the TV was quite loud and distracting with Indian music videos. I don't mind myself. I feels like it gives it a homey vibe. Bottom line: Good food and wonderful service. They came up to my table just enough time to show me that they were attentive without feel like I was being smothered. This is a review of the midweek buffet, which goes for about $10. Over all I found the buffet to be very good, but many dishes lacked spice. The parking lot was near full at 1:00 PM on a Thursday afternoon. There is a school in the same shopping center and the spots are taken up by students. There are about 12 different indian dishes. They also offer a salad, which has Jalapeno peppers in it. There were three different kinds of chutney and some other toppings. Naan is brought to the party of four at my table. One was plan naan. The other chiffonade of greens. They did not impart much taste, but looked nice. The naan is thin but tender. There were three different dishes that used Lamb. Two were spicey the other was not. Chai tea was available for the taking. You can also have dessert of rice pudding or Image result for indian dessert balls: Gulab Jamun. This is almost a five star buffet. Most of the food was bland. Indian food is hot, but I do understand that they must accommodate their customers. I highly recommend their lunch buffet. read more

Went here for a family lunch, we decided to go with the buffet because of the variety of selection that they offered. My favorite were: - roasted broccoli: simple and sweet. - veggie korma: very flavorful I like the cauliflower peas and cheese. - potatoes and cabbage: very flavorful and not too over powering. It also comes with naan, refillable unsweetened chai tea and a selection of dessert (gulab jaman, fruits, rice milk). It's taken too long for me to leave my review but I swore I would come back and leave my two cents because this place was that good. I went on a Sunday night and it was great. A fair amount of people for a Sunday evening and the serving staff was great. They made my fiancé and I feel welcome and the food was delicious. We got garlic nan (of course), rice, chicken tikka masala, and Lamb korma and each dish was as fantastic as the next. We went conservative on the spiciness and it was even less spicy than I'd expect. If you are wavering on if a spiciness is in your comfort zone or not, it probably is. We even took some leftovers back for my brother who swore up and down that he didn't like Indian food and when he was finished scooping up the masala sauce all he had to say was 'when is the buffet open?' My go to for Indian food. I literally crave their chicken tikka masala all the time. It is SO good. I get it mild because I don't like it too spicy and it is perfect every time. Also, get the garlic naan bread and the raita (yogurt). The flavors alone will have you coming back. They also have a lot of vegetarian options (and vegan I believe). I've been going here for several years for their lunch buffet. I love it! Years ago, while living in Detroit I was introduced to Indian food by an Indian woman I worked with. She opened Pandora's Box. We were a small office and we all fell in love with the cuisine and as much as she wanted adventures in dining we were hooked on the food and ate there at least once a week. After moving to Phoenix, almost 15 years ago, I searched for a long time for a restaurant that matched the deliciousness of the restaurant I frequented in Detroit. One day I came across India Palace and it is my go-to now. The restaurant specializes in Northern Indian cuisine.......Punjabi. I have many favorites on the buffet menu. One of my absolute favorites is Chicken Tikka Masala. Occasionally there are other dishes in Masala or Korma sauces and the sauces are always seasoned to perfection and delicious no matter what ingredients you find in the sauce. The veggies sautés and veggie pakoras are also worth mentioning, as is the fresh Nan, served hot with a crispy and puffy texture. If you are a fan of Northern Indian cuisine like I am, you will love this place! read more

Although I feel badly for only rate three stars which I have never done but When you eat there they give you naan bread at the table and we usually eat the lunch buffet but even when we have eaten just individual orders they give you the bread so of course if I order on the phone and they say do you want plain or garlic naan bread and they don't say by the way we're going to charge you more now for ordering something we normally give you anyway we shouldn't wind up showing up to find out that it's almost 5 dollars more just because they gave us bread that we thought they were giving us anyway Although the food is good the problem is anyone who doesn't eat spicy cannot even touch the buffet because there's never anything on there except for once in a blue moon there's maybe one thing that isn't spicy you can always add spice to a dish but you can't take it out so if you don't eat spicy you can't even go there unless you plan to order off the menu in which case you get one item And not multiple which is the whole point to go to a buffet Also the prices have gone up tremendously and the way they did take out was to charge you up to a pound is the full amount if you go to ounces over they charge you for a whole Nother pound it's a shame were used to love their food and be able to eat there read more

This place was delicious! We don't live in the area and we were craving some good Indian food and this place did not disappoint! We will be telling our AZ friends all about India Palace. The samosas were perfect, the dough was thin enough and perfectly crispy to allow for the filling to shine through. Their mint chutney was fresh and flavorful and went along well with the tamarind sauce. Our chicken tikka masala was well-balanced and they catered to our spice preference nicely. The garlic naan and onion kulcha are NOT MISS items. Their mango lassi is also a delicious balance of mango and yogurt that helps settle the spices you're eating. The staff was very friendly and cleaned each setting well between patrons. They even brought us a little free dessert before we left. We will be back! read more

They will make the "spice" heat level to your choice. The restaurant was clean and the staff were all very friendly. We ate samosas, buttered chicken, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, white rice, Indian tea (chia), and mango yogurt. Dessert we tried fresh banana custard. The food was great. My husband and I went to India Palace Cuisine for the second time today. We had their lunch buffet this time. Their food is fresh, their staff is very pleasant. We were a bit disappointed though as buffet is from 11am-3pm and they ran out of Indian chai tea by 1:30pm. I asked multiple servers if I could get some tea and never received any tea. I was frustrated with this aspect of the service as I had even stated that I would pay the additional cost for it to be brought to our table. read more

A hidden gem. My parents and I were traveling from CA to Tucson and decided to stop somewhere in the Phoenix area to eat. We decided on Indian food. I resorted to looking at and comparing places based on reviews and decided to try this place. It was a little out of the way from our destination, and my dad said this place better be good given how out of our way we are going for it. Nobody was complaining once the food arrived. We had a great experience dining here. I choose the buffet many vegetarian options that I was looking for. I loved the saag,daal and the veggie korma and potatoes and zucine. We ordered the samosas maybe the best we've ever had perfectly cooked inside. My wife ordered the chicken tikka masala she a tad spicy but she enjoyed it and had enough to take home. Once again another India restaurant in the same slightly below to average quality Indian food which I have become so accustomed to here in Phoenix / Scottsdale the food is perfectly suitable for the vast majority of its customers but those who have a more sophisticated pallet I know the difference between real Indian food and westernized Indian food for the masses it falls somewhat short I really don't care about service that much I'll wait a half an hour for a drink refill if the food is spectacular that's why I don't talk about service and I don't care about the atmosphere and the restaurant whether the silverware is heavyweight or they have tablecloths or floors dirty etc just give me high quality delicious food consistently that unfortunately I don't think you should look for it in Indian food in this town.
