Tasty Indian food but slightly disappointed given how much my parents raved about this place! They also felt the food wasn't as tasty as the other times they've had it, not sure what happened there. We got the butter chicken which was actually my least favorite but usually this is a major hit. The flavors just weren't as pronounced / rich. The chicken tikka masala was better, love all the sauce that comes with these and with a decent amount of chicken! We also got an aloo gobi which had good flavor, I've had better and I've had worse. I do like that this food, while very filling and rich, doesn't make me feel gross and weighed down after. We all loved the papadam and the chutneys that came with it - great amounts of it and nice and crispy and yum yum. But the star of the show was the chicken briyani. Like that was the best I've ever had, I would've been more than happy with just that. It was a huge portion. The chicken was tender and juicy, the rice was so so flavorful with good heat but not too spicy. We ordered one rice - because the dishes don't come with rice - and it was MASSIVE for five of us (remember we also got the Briyani with rice) but we had a lot of rice leftover still. Definitely don't order more than one! Also got a mango lassi to share with my dad - a little watery, I like them thicker but it wasn't too sweet. Quite refreshing. My family and I wanted to try a different indian restaurant and we came upon Mayas! I really Enjoyed the butter chicken which is my favorite dish and the garlic naan. My only suggestion is that the goat meat didn't have much meat- it felt like a lot more bone and fat. But otherwise food was great and process of ordering on the phone was smooth!! read more

I ordered the samosa chaat, chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and mango lassi. Samosa chaat was delicious and there was plenty of chutney, just wish the samosas were bigger as it only came with 2 pieces. The chicken biryani was very flavorful and I liked that it was moist, different from most places where the rice is on the dry side. The chicken tikka masala was more yellow in color, but flavor was to be expected and had a good amount of chicken. Will try the Tandoori Chicken next bc it looked good. Small, quiet place in a strip mall. If we hadn't been looking for it specifically, we would have likely missed it completely. The restaurant is across town for us so we reserved a table - one of maybe 10. The food was delicious. We had two curries and samosas. A cozy, small restaurant with a big taste, we went with Indian friends who know their food. They ordered for us, and the food was incredibly authentic and flavorful. Wow! The food was amazing, some of the best Indian food I've ever had! The samosas were amazing, definitely add the choley, SO much flavor. I could have those for as lunch on there own. The naan was absolutely the best I've had, pulled apart so nicely. Wasn't like warmed pita that most is as they make it in the back the right way! I wanted something new and he pointed me to vindaloo with lamb. It came out too spicy for me (6 out of 10) and even though I knew that was the level he could tell and made a new one at a 3! Great food and service. It's mostly a to go place but still had a few tables for people to eat. We split 2 main dishes with naan- all was delicious spiced well, fresh, authentic and flavorful. Ok we drove a distance to get to this place. First the neighborhood is pretty bad. We asked for a booster seat but there was only a lone high chair The restaurant is in an older shabby strip mall. It's very tiny, like a take out place with maybe 4 small tables. A guy at the counter. It smelled weird. We looked around and decided to leave without eating. Great Service and Food had a great flavor. The issue I had was the spice level. I am very sensitive to hot peppers and hot spices, and this place serves their food very spicy. I've ordered here 2wice. Both times I ordered paneer tiki masala, both times I asked them to make it w/ no spice, or as mild as possible, both times they said ok, and both times it was to hot and I couldn't eat it. If it cannot be made less spicy, then they should just be upfront and say that. Instead they served me a plate of food I could'nt eat. I was very annoyed because the food was delicious, it was just way to hot and it hurt to much to eat it. I felt like my mouth, throat, and stomach were on fire. I just picked up a door dash order here, and I can smell the food in my trunk, I can just tell it's a good place. I haven't eaten here yet, but, just being in there I'm gonna have to check it out.
