You get your water or tea by the area where the plates and utensils are, nobody asks if you prefer something different to drink. The only time you get service is when they come by to clear away plates you're finished with and when you check out at the counter. Additionally, they are a bit slow in refilling items, so if you see something you want, get it the first time around, instead of putting it off for another round. Overall, their food was delicious. There was plenty of variety in dishes and the options catered well to everyone's preferred spice level. I would say the variety and quality of the buffet overall is fair for the price per person.

The food was very flavorful and I can't wait to go back and try their other dishes. They also have a happy hour 4-7pm that I need to come back for. The servers were so attentive. They were quick to take away used plates and refill the food in the buffet so it was always warm and fresh. It's such a cute ambience, even for a buffet. The serving trays are all gold and pretty. On this visit we decided to order vegetable samosa, poori bhaji, garlic naan, chicken dum biryani, and the tandoori chicken. The only item that we hadn't previously tried from here before was the poori bhaji. It wasn't bad, the potato part was very good actually, maybe a bit saltier than we had expected if anything. It was the puffy bread part that we were thrown off by. We thought the puffy bread would be soft and doughy, but it was more flakey and crunchy. Our favorite dish on this visit was probably the chicken dum biryani. The chicken was tender and the chicken to rice ratio was generous. Overall, the service was fast but kind of aloof. There are plenty of seating options and the tables are spaced out far enough where you don't feel like you're intruding on your neighbor's conversations. One thing I appreciate about this place is that their spice levels aren't overly spicy. Their mild and medium are actually mild and medium. At some other places, a mild spice is really a medium, and a medium is really an extra and so forth.

The vegetable kolhapuri (5/5) the waiter recommended was a hit, as was the paneer tikka masala lababdar (4.5), both served with sauces/gravy that weren't too sweet or loaded with excess cream. The butter naan (4.5/5) was also delicious and served in a generous portion as well. We especially liked the complimentary rice (5/5) that accompanied the meals, as it was a bit different from the standard rice you get at other Indian restaurants. Service (5/5) was incredibly kind and gracious throughout the meal, even though the one waiter (possibly the owner) was attending to all the guests. The chicken korma curry was fine, not as much flavor as I'm used to. The butter chicken was good, nice spice and flavor. The real showstopper was the garlic naan... do not skip it. It's phenomenal. Friendly counter guy was patient and answered our many questions. I chose my favorite standard order, the chicken tikka masala with rice. After getting more details about the preparation I decided to try the mango side salad, too. I could not have been happier with my choices. The Tikka masala has a lovely ratio of meat to curry sauce and was a mild spice. Very creamy with tender chicken fully hot all the way through. The basmati rice is fluffy and seasoned perfectly the compliment the masala. The surprise star of this meal was the side mango salad! Tons of fresh spring mix lettuce, chunks of mango, shredded carrots and a delightful sweet dressing. It was very bright, with perfectly ripened fruit and crisp greens. This is not a small side salad, so it is definitely a high value bargain, and could easily be a meal with a protein added. GF ordered a paneer wrap with fries. She raved about the flavor, took two bites more bites of the wrap and then picked at the fries and confessed it was all going home for her son. GLP1 appetite? Anyway she ended up ordering a mango side salad for him to go, after we finished eating. I did taste a chunk of the paneer at her urging, the cheese was in small cubes, with a flavorful sauce. And got one regular naan and paid $1 extra extra try the garlic naan. I absolutely love garlic. And And would never pay the dollar extra again for the garlic naan it was not very good and not worth the up charge The butter chicken was surprising and ended up being my favorite over the regular tikka chicken. We also tried the masala fries (the fries themselves are slightly spicy but when you put the masala sauce on them, it tones it down) , which were incredible!!! And the coconut curry wings. It would've been nice to be warned that the coconut curry wings are extremely spicy. It did not mention that anywhere, and I was not expecting to have that level of heat. Also got the glub juman for desert. Don't sleep on this. It is so good!!! I should mention that for their drink selection, soda, wise they only have one of those Coke freestyle machines which I find disgusting (once you see what they look like on the inside and how they're never cleaned you would agree too) . Service was friendly, and my friend had some dietary restrictions and the chef kindly came out and explained which dishes out of the huge selection in the buffet worked for him. Buffet has massive selection, all the usual favorites plus some things you may not have seen as often including chaat. All the dishes were hot, fresh, fully stocked and carefully prepared. I tried the biryani, vegetable korma, chaat, butter chicken, garlic naan, paneer masala and etc. every dish was carefully seasoned and well prepared. These guys deserve to be way busier than they were. I don't think the neighborhood knows that this place is back in business and how excellent it is. I will be back often. Place is brightly lit by windows, chairs and booths are comfortable and they also have a patio for when it cools off!

Thankfully, Namaste has a vegetarian section with vegan options on its menu. Good thing, because I was hungry. Can't really speak about smoky Indian food without mentioning baingan bharta, a smoky mashed eggplant curry which happens to be one of my favorites. Ordering this dish at a place like Namaste was a no-brainer. The smokiness, combined with the richness and thickness of the mashed eggplant, was really satisfying. The bhindi masala, tender-crisp okra sauteed with a spiced onion-tomato gravy, was a tasty complement, with a balance of savory, spicy, and tangy flavors. If you have any doubts about the menu, talk to the friendly servers. And make sure you specify the heat level. Medium-spicy is a proper medium; it is not mild. So, for those who are sensitive, make sure you tell your server. Enjoy!

When I arrived, a couple of women ordered dine-in, and their food looked great. I asked the counter server what they had, and he offered me a taste of the Chicken Pakora. It was hot and fresh, and I enjoyed it. That said, my experience with the butter chicken was disappointing. When I got it home, it smelled good but looked off. For $19, the portion was small, about the size of a to-go soup cup. It was brown with green specks, and I think I might have received the wrong order. I decided to try it anyway, but the chicken was cool in the middle and dry. The rice was lukewarm and dry as well. I could only eat one piece of chicken because it didn't taste fresh. It seemed like it had been made hours earlier and just reheated. The sauce wasn't great either. Overall, it was an unpleasant dish (see photo). I might give them another shot, but I'd stick to dining in next time.
