I just can't visit an In-N-Out location and not write about it! This one is located in Redding, CA in an area with tons of strip malls and other stores. They have the usual lobby seating layout and a few outdoor tables, but this one is clearly popular as a drive thru location. The attendants were out in force helping to move orders along quicker. The food and drink quality was consistent with other locations, all delicious! Prices are as reasonable as you can get for the quality. read more

Okay, first off let me say that I love In-N-Out Burger. I've been eating their food since I was a kid. They serve fantastic food. Having said that...I've noticed while visiting Redding (I live in Southern California) that both of their locations operate EXTREMELY slow. Every-time I've pulled into the drive through (both locations) the line is always long which is normal at In-N-Outs. But usually theres a person taking orders on a tablet to expedite the ordering process. I've yet to experience that at either Redding locations. I waited 35 minutes to get to the ordering speaker then another 15 to get my order. I know Redding is a really small town but there seems to be no sense of urgency at these locations. So, I give the food 5 stars and the service 2 stars. read more

I have never been disappointed at in-N-Out. The restaurant is always clean and well lit. The drink and condiment areas are always clean. The counter staff was cheerful and always welcoming. We received our food quickly and everything was fresh and made as I ordered. I like this chain because no matter which location you stop at the food is always consistent. read more

We ordered three #1s, two of them animal style, and it was everything we were hoping for! They loaded us up on spread, ketchup, and napkins as requested too. First time I've ever had cold fries at in n out. When I told the girl working the window she seemed really annoyed. New fries were hot and overcooked. Crunchy to the point of being unenjoyable. We got our burgers and when I thanked her she just walked away. Lame. Super weird experience for in n out... my husband ran in to use the bathroom and the trash was over flowing with used paper towels. Seems like the standards here are low. in-N-Out is literally my favorite fast food restaurant in the whole entire world, it is so good, their service is amazing, my order is a double double with no onions, add pickles, french fries, and a pink lemonade. Come on now. This is an In-N-Out. What else are you expecting other than amazing? I stopped by during my trip leaving California and going back to Washington, and of course I had to stop by In-N-Out. This is right off the highway so it was super convenient, and there are even two locations within close proximity to each other! You can't go wrong with multiple options! I got my usual: double double animal style with well done fries. There was a long line at the drive thru but not a long line at all for ordering inside. Apparently if it's hot outside (aka summer) there is no one outside to take your order. So you get to repeat your order 5-10 times to the box then wait 45 minutes for mediocre food. In-N-Out is always fantastic. We ordered the double double burgers with fries animal style. All of the food was superb, and the pink lemonade is splendid. The atmosphere is cheerful with those classic outfits making the experience seem somewhat like a movie set. Very fun experience. This location is very busy, but they had someone out in the drive thru line taking ours to help move the customers through. Highly recommend an In-N-Out experience. read more

I just found out this new In N Out just opened recently here in Redding. It's super easy access off the 5 either direction. I'm normally a fan of In N Out, but that's only if there's not a Habit Burger Grill in the area. Redding has a Habit Burger a short distance away, but further off the freeway. Normally, I'd pick Habit over In N Out, just cause the burgers have a real charbroiled taste and are just better. If I'm in a rush and on the freeway, this location is more convenient and I'll do In N Out. My order is always a Animal Style Double Double with extra grilled onions and fries. Just water to drink. You can have Animal Style and the extra grilled onions at no charge! Animal Style if you didn't know is they cook the 2 patties on the flattop with mustard, add grilled onions and extra spread. On the subject of "Animal Style", forget the Animal style fries, not worth the upcharge. It's just fries in the basket with a slice of cheese and a dollop of 1000 island sauce on top and hit in the microwave to melt the cheese. The microwave does a weird thing to the fries, not crispy anymore. The fries themselves are just OK. I mean, yeah, they're fresh cut from potatoes, you see that in the back, but for some reason, they just taste a little weird, maybe a little grainy. I like other fast food fries better, like Five Guys. Still, the burger is very satisfying on the first bite! read more

Employees were great. Food tasted good. But the clientele is absolute trash. Despite the best efforts, the employees could not keep masks on customers. After kicking a couple out without a mask, the unmasked stood next to my table where I was eating outside and lit up a cigarette. Between puffs he spit giant wads of snot on the ground. Well I'm just passing through and I have to say I was very impressed. My burger was delicious and cooked perfectly and the lettuce tomato was just so fresh you could just tell everything was fresh. The staff is so super friendly and it was just really a pleasure to be able to sit at the outdoor picnic tables it just enjoy the evening. If you're traveling through whether it be North or South make sure if you're hungry to stop at in and out. It definitely is worth a little relaxation between traveling. Burger was fine, perhaps slightly below average for the In N Out standard. My concern was zero enforcement of indoor public business masking mandates. I asked a staff member to enforce and he shrugged, saying, "We can't really do anything about it".
