Quite the meal all by itself (spinach, onions, cheese, mushrooms, and tomato) with sides of sour cream and guacamole. Restaurant was clean, quiet, and service good with no long wait (lunchtime). Giving 4 stars simply because the service didn't match the faces. All seemed somber and/or with a preoccupied mind. Going thru the motion with no real ooomph. I can only hope the chefs/cooks were happier. I'll be back!

So delicious. It's rare that I'll give 5 starts on a first visit, but the Hermanos left me with no choice. What else can I tell you. Great Mexican food on Market Street in Redding. Not too far from I-5 and worth the drive. Open everyday except Monday. It's an unassuming restaurant where you can assume the food will live up to the hype. Counter seating inside. Dog-friendly seating patio outside. The young cashier was really nice and when I told him I thought the mild red sauce was excellent he shared that it was his favorite. I also met one of the owners and there's something special about the people who run a small restaurant with incredible pride because they put so much love into the food. And the customers walk away with that love win their belly. OK, we drove away. But you get it. I don't know when I'll be back, but I hope to try the birria next time.

I'm typically content with the burritos at this location--they're not exceptional, but generally decent and reliably edible. However, today's experience was disappointing. I ordered the same burrito I always do, but the quality was noticeably worse. The chicken was rubbery and difficult to chew, the beans were bland and mushy, and there was only a small amount of cheese, concentrated at one end. While the burrito looked the same in size, it was mostly tortilla with very little filling. Overall, the flavors were lacking and the ingredients seemed sparse. I understand that every establishment can have an off day, and the person preparing my order today appeared a little angry and hostile. I may give this location another try in the future, but it likely won't be anytime soon. read more

I've tried every Mexican place in Redding, California, and Burrito Bandito stands out as the clear winner. The restaurant manager, Natalie, is exceptional, kind, professional, and genuinely welcoming. She brings great energy to the place, and it's easy to see why everyone appreciates her being there. The chips alone are incredible, fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. The burrito bowl is amazing, packed with quality ingredients and generous portions. The tripas though were the stand out - crispy, smoky, rich... I might get just these next time. If you haven't tried this before, don't be squeamish - they don't taste like offal, they don't have a weird texture, they are just delicious. The tortillas were also great, thin and chewy and just strong enough to hold onto the ingredients while you ate. It should also be noted that they have free and unlimited chips and salsa. And the salsas are quite tasty, the salsa verde being my favorite. The super breakfast burrito was eaten cold at around 5 am the next morning, so obviously it wouldn't be fair to judge it like I had it fresh. But it was well constructed, very well sized, and had plenty of egg and bacon in it. It was good even if not eaten at the optimal time and temperature. The restaurant is located next to a sushi bar (which I am too scared to try given Redding's inland location) and has a big parking lot. They take credit cards and bring the food to your table. Whether you're a local or just visiting this place is definitely worth a visit.
