Wanted to try and love our new local restaurant. Horchata tastes like pickle juice, chile relleno covered in tortilla? Masa? Gauc bland. Tortillas taste old. Definitely heard a microwave while waiting for my food. Asada is rubbery, pico de gallo tastes old. We ordered chicken quesadilla got asada. Guess I'm just confused and disappointed. Wish I stayed home.

The chips were warmed up and fresh. Prices were standard. I think I ordered the best. The Quesabirria tacos were really good. They were probably the biggest sized Quesabirria I've ever had. Nice and crispy too. It came with consume as well. Three of them came in the combo and I could not finish them. I'd go back for those alone. Staff were friendly.

Great Food every time we go there! Love the fish tacos! Guys are super nice! Cute little place

Well we decided n this place as it was a New Mexican restaurant in town and love a good burrito. I decided to give the fish taco a shot and the chile rellano burrito a chance. Well I wish I hadn't to be honest. The fish taco had a great homemade tortilla and dressing n it. The FISH or whatever that over fried finger I had on my tortilla was a joke. I definitely expected more out of a new restaurant and was hopefully but very doubtful I'll be back. Also the chile rellano you could tell was made prior and had been sitting for awhile before being put in my burrito. I wouldn't recommend either items in the menu.

This was sort of a mixed bag. On the positive side, the chips were fresh and hot and the fish tacos were exceptional (especially for the $2 taco Tuesday special). The tortillas for the tacos were fresh and incredible! However, the rice and beans and Mob Burrito were both just alright. Service was kind, but the inside is definitely a bit thrown together. Overall, I'd say give them a shot. They just opened and I'm hoping the rest of the menu soon matches the quality of the fish tacos!

Price is good, not too expensive for what you get and fair (soda was a bit pricy). Service was quick, and friendly. However the ambiance inside the restaurant wasn't it for us (a little bare and sterile), so we went and ate outside and that was great. Now the food: SO GOOD - especially the birria tacos. The meat wasn't too soggy, the cheese was great, fantastic flavor and the broth.... wow wow wow. The wet burrito was good too. So overall good price for good food in a well located place. Would recommend.

    Al pastor "California" burrito

Ordered a California burrito on their menu, but turns out that this isn't a "California" burrito at all. The burrito came with french fries pico de Gallo Al Pastor and cheese. Normally my version of California burrito has all that guacamole and sour cream. So if ordering a burrito from here and you want a California one make sure to add those two. They have a house burrito that comes with walking and sour cream, but it's not a California burrito. Service was good came out hot but not what I was expecting

The best machaca I've had in redding. Food came out fast, art and music are top notch, and I'll be coming back again very soon.

Now from the time we walked in to being seated to ordering the food came out to us very quick, very hot and delicious. The waiter made sure to warn us of the temperature of the plates. I think the whole time we were in the restaurant was maybe an hour we had stuffed ourselves with chips & salsa and Queso so I had plenty of left-overs. Would I recommend yes would I come back of course id like to try some of the other food.

We were seated quickly and everyone was very nice and welcoming. We got the chips and salsa. The chips were a little on the stale side, hard and chewy. The salsa had flavor, not much heat. The drinks were big and came out quick. The food portions are pretty big and good prices. The food was good, nothing really great. The chimichanga could have used some sauce on top instead of the sour cream which said it didn't come with. The carne asada was a big piece but a little tough. It all lacked some flavoring and the rice was dry.

Whenever I'm visiting Redding, I always like to try new places, especially searching for solid Mexican food (which isn't an easy task in such a small town). People who know me, know that I love beans - refried especially. My grandmother and father made amazing refried beans. Living in Los Angeles, there's a diverse number of places that really deliver the flavor. I digress. So, I stop at Hermanos today and ordered a bean and cheese burrito and a chorizo soft taco. The guys working there were friendly and after explaining to them that I'm visiting from Southern California and my affinity for beans (I'm a nerd, what can I say lol), they gave me a taste of their shredded beef birria. It was amazing. Melted in my mouth. So, A+ there. To the headliners... Bean and cheese burrito. The tortilla was homemade tasting/feeling (didn't appear to be store bought like some of the other places I've tried here). On a scale of 1-10, I give the beans a 7. They were better than average and better than good. Chorizo soft taco. Pretty simple taco. Soft flour tortilla, lettuce, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, and chorizo. The chorizo was cooked perfectly (That isn't a passing comment either. Chorizo can be easily under or overcooked). Great flavor. Tasted fresh. They gave me green and red salsa. Both were really tasty and enjoyable. I think I have found my new favorite Mexican spot in Redding. The true test will be their chili relleno and pozole. I will definitely be back.

I got asada, but added two eggs and guacamole in the burrito, with cilantro and onions for added crispness and flavor. I asked for the tortilla to be crispy on the outside, but wish the fries were crispier. It was $15 for everything, which is a damn good deal, considering the size of the burrito. I'm not sure about the price of a regular Cali burrito, but what I ordered was $15. She even skipped the tip portion (I tipped in cash instead).

First impressions was that it was definitely a favorite locals' place as it was busy on a Friday night at 7:30. Groups of friends, couples and families were streaming in. We were seated immediately with no wait. It's a charming dining room with lots of comfortable seating and table choices. The place had a great vibrant vibe and terrific service from our server Kathy. She was very attentive, caring and hardworking the whole time we were there. She was awesome! I ordered the chicken tortilla soup which was full of flavor and ideally prepared. My only friendly suggestion of improvement would be to serve it in a deeper soup dish. The very shallow bowl did not allow much of the soup broth to be served with it, therefore it was more like a chicken "stew" because of the lack of the soup broth. My hubby ordered a chicken taco and a carne asada taco. The shared bite that I got of each was outstanding---so delicious. Wow, I will be craving those two tacos! The surprise and super delight of the meal was the complimentary chips, bean dip and salsa! Wow again, that bean dip. Best ever!!! That stuff I will certainly wish and crave for over and over again. And you can order another serving for a small price if you want more! We enjoyed our meal there and we will definitely return when we're in Redding again. Highly recommend!
