Came here on a Saturday at around 2pm. Besides the cute koi pond by the entrance the dining area was pretty dark, so reading a real book might be hard. All the normal staples were there, General Tso's & other chicken dishes, pepper steak, fried shrimp and those red boneless pork spare ribs but I am a huge fan of dumplings in general and they had them (not every buffet does). They had 2 kinds of wings, bbq and fried for folks into that. For seafood, beyond the shrimp & imitation crab dishes, other than calamari, and the shellfish in the cold bar I didn't notice or pay attention to any other seafood like crab legs or anything. Sushi is made to order, which honestly was pretty cool; guarantees you get what you want and is fresher than leaving them out all the time. I was slightly confused on the "custom orders cost extra" poster so I just got a couple salmon rolls which were pretty good. There didn't seem to be nigiri option but I was too hungry and didn't bother to investigate (I should do so the next time I'm here!). The grill was closed, maybe a dinner-only option or food prices are just too high now to have it? They were using the grill to fry their dumplings, which looked handmade. For vegetable options, they were few; the usual string beans, broccoli and the cheesy spinach were there. Plastic spoons used for soup and that felt wasteful.

Disgusting Bathrooms, my chicken is as yellow, there was hair in my garlic bread. Teacher Screaming

Greasy, pricey, low quality by the lowest of standards. California Class "C" rating IMO. I'd opt for Taco Bell just down the street.

My friend has celiac and I have been gluten free for years cause of personal reasons and found great food here. My favorites were the pork bun so tender and delicious and the chicken corn dumpling. The dumpling was full of great flavors. We tried their fried onion rings and didn't leave one! We had their eggplant which I enjoyed tremendously. It has a crunchy outside with creamy inside which I loved. We had the pork dumplings which we thoroughly enjoyed. I have to go back and get more chicken and pork buns my number one favorite and I really want to try their gluten free lo mein. William works the register and the tables and was a delight and really knows the food. He and his uncle the chef, run the place. Relaxed and layed back atmosphere with really great gluten free dishes! A must try for Asian food lovers!

So we made the trek to find this shop. The plaza this place is in was doing some construction, so I had to go by the flag outside to find them. Inside is a little basic but clean. The cashier was very nice and helpful. Explained the coloring system and the order. Got my food to go, picked up some sweets at the local sweets shop next door. Took pics and tried some bites. The dumplings were made fresh, perfectly thin and cooked well. Ample amounts of filling and sweet and spicy dipping sauces. They offer very fancy dumplings like foie gras or truffles with morelles. I opted for chicken and corn along with some beef bao. Everything was pretty tasty and pretty reasonably priced. For the two orders of dumplings and the bao came out to 24 bucks. Pretty affordable and pretty good bites. It's not a pretty location, but they do good dumplings to go. Worth a try if your off the beaten path and have a hankerin for done good dumplings.

Lunch specials are smaller portion, but good for the price (raised to $12.95 now since my last menu photo) We split a lot of dishes because we couldn't decide: Wonton soup appetizer {4.5/5}: Loved how delicate the wontons were and the clear broth was great for a cold day. Tad too salty though. Lunch special --Braised pork belly {3/5}: Very tender, but kind of monotone in flavor. Very filling! Lunch special --Hot and sour gizzards {4.5/5}: This might freak people out in terms of texture, but I LOVE this texture. Good chew and pops of heat from the peppers and acid from the pickled green beans Lunch special --Cumin dish lamb {3/5}: kind of chewy and not as much flavor as I wished, but not bad! Chicken wings {3/5}: Crunchyyyy. Battered wings, not as much flavor as their chongqing chicken which I prefer, but not bad

Outside is very much a busy shopping plaza in not the best part of town. Inside is a completely different story. Very clean and spacious, lots of booths and tables. Decorated well and a lot to see. The staff were friendly but there was a slight language barrier. We fumbled through the menu and found some bites to try. Food came out relatively quick, and that was a bit to manage because there were a lot of plates brought rather quickly. We got pics and dug in. The bites were flavored well. Nothing felt too greasy or under seasoned. The white pepper chicken was very crispy. But not a lot of chicken on each bite. The sweet and sour soup was both sweet and sour, but balanced enough that you could keep on eating it. The dumplings were fresh noodles and the filling was spiced well. The only flop was the spare ribs. Really tasty sauce, but very little meat on the bone. Had to suck on the bones to scrape enough meat off to make it a proper appetizer. It tasted good, just was not easy to eat. Price for the area was high for the neighborhood. It's got the quality and the flavor to command that price easily, but it doesn't match the stores. It's really good, but know that you're getting the real deal sichuan experience. Expect some heat, some saucy fingers, and some bones, and you'll get some really good bites

I ordered roast pork fried rice and boneless spare ribs. Simple and delicious. I also got the edamame which came plain or possibly lightly salted - either way I put my roasted garlic blend on them at home. They seemed fresh and popped at the right time if you know what I mean. The rice wasn't full of the usual stuff you see in a lot of like foods around here. That stuck out to me. The boneless spare ribs weren't dripping in sauce which was nice. They also were also not dried out the next day for leftovers. I'd say this place is def worthy of the high reviews they've received lately! Designed to be wolfed down over a bed of soft rice. The kind of place I THOUGHT I'd have no trouble finding in New York City, but which my husband and I actually make a special point of ordering from every time I come home to where I grew up. Vegetarian? Get the Szechuan bean curd. It's pillowy fried tofu in a spicy sauce, accompanied by all kinds of steamed vegetables. Their General Tso's tofu is generally the same thing, but no vegetables. I wish they had scallion pancakes, because I know they would kill those too. The veggie fried rice is great. My mom swears by the hot and sour soup and Mongolian beef. Come to their unassuming storefront with $35, leave with two entrees, two apps, and that sweet feeling that you got exactly what you wanted.
