Easily the best Indian food I ever had. The butter chicken was amazing, the lamb biriyani was UNREAL, and the Lamb Ramjash was the best Indian dish by far. 10/10 food and the service was great. Owner cam out to meet us and tell his story of cooking for 25 years, you can really taste it in the food. If you're looking for a good Indian dish this is the spot! Also they run buffet every day! We came as a party of 3 for the weekday lunch buffet. It's a large restaurant with 2 fairly distinct sections and a casual atmosphere. The buffet was fresh with a nice variety of dishes, bot vegetarian and not. Really enjoyed the aloo gobi, veg gongura, and pakora. The naan was also super fluffy and warm. The interior is big bright and inviting and easy to navigate. I was greeted immediately upon walking through the door. I set my things down and went straight to the buffet and tried everything except the fish curry. I must say I'm not the biggest mutton fan but theirs had to be the best I've ever had. Their butter chicken, which is usually my favorite, was good but the sweetest I've had as well as the paneer. All in all, this has been the best Indian buffet I've been to those far. They had more options than any other buffet I've been too and their service is impeccable. My cup was NEVER empty of water, the attentiveness was truly amazing. I use a lot of napkins and they took notice and made sure to give me extra. Everyone here was so polite and the service is some of the best I've ever had anywhere; not to mention, the lunch buffet is everyday and it's only 17 dollars. You can't beat it and I will definitely come back. I ended my experience with dessert of course and their take on what I would call a sort of rice pudding/soup was so good. I ordered chai (delicious even without sugar) which took 10 minutes to arrive because they make it fresh. I would recommend this please to anyone who likes Indian cuisine. read more

Checked Abhiruchi out for their weekday lunch buffet special! Monday-Friday 11:30am-2:30pm, note: they close at 2:30 and reopen for dinner at 5pm daily. It was very delicious! It's a small buffet, but it's honestly the perfect size for what we were looking for. Everything is clearly labeled and it was very clean! They switch out some of the options - the first time we went they had butter chicken, the second time they had chicken tikka masala. Both times they had vegetable biryani, tandoori chicken and a few other staples. Food was so yummy! They have a fridge with drinks (sodas, mango lassi) and they also offer beer and wine. The mango lassis were $5 each and well worth it. I grabbed one to-go! The weekday lunch special is $14.95/person and the weekend lunch special is $17.95/person. Definitely a great deal either way! Abhiruchi opened about 6 mos. ago and what I experienced today bodes very well for them as all their buffet items where excellent. There was a preponderance of chicken items but each was cooked differently and distinctive, one from the other, impressive. Goat curry appears on some, not all buffets, this curried item was far and away one of the best I've had, just beautifully done, tender, delicious with a sauce to remember. Biryani, and several other rice dishes were equally exceptional. From appetizers, mains, to desserts this place is pushing out well prepared, deliciously spiced South Indian Cuisine that deserves your attention! read more

We went right when they opened on a Saturday at 12pm and everything was fresh and delicious. The meat was halal and cooked perfectly, and there were so many vegetarian options too. New place in Rocky Hill, so many things wrong here, First impression is always the best impression Ordered items don't arrive, but placed in the bill. Feedback is not taken seriously. Uncooked food Restaurant claims that their cooks are under training. Let's talk about the full review The place has decent seating and large space to accommodate a few groups with booths that seat 4 to 6 ppl. We are a large group two families, asked to put separate checks when we got seated. Menu has so many items Veg and Non Veg. We ordered Abhiruchi Fish Fry - too salty and dripping of oil. Abhiruchi mutton dum biriyani - never came out. Hyderabadi chicken dum biriyani - came with no salt, and wasn't freshly made. Lachacha Parata Naan Kashmiri Naan Malai Kofta - Kofta was uncooked. Paneer Kurchan Plain Dosa Daal Tadka - replacement for the Kofta Rava Masala dosa - the masala had way too much salt. Mango Lassi and Thumbs up. Now for the experience, Waitress who brought the food to the table didn't know the exact name of the dish they brought out. The Mutton Biriyani never came out, yet they had charged for it. We had to send back the Malai Kofta as it was uncooked, the restaurant excuse was their chefs were in training. The Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biriyani had absolutely no salt, we informed the restaurant but they didn't really care or take any action. Worse, part here is that we gave them feedback while we were leaving and the person at the counter simply mentioned we had this same item in the morning buffet and everyone liked it, does it mean that they served something that was made earlier during the day or they are intending that we are making up stuff ? Not at all acceptable and for this we are not returning back again, very disappointed. More of the dishes either had no salt or had too much salt. In general the restaurant being new should make all the effort to impress their customers with the quality of the food, and service. But they lacked this commitment. I went here for lunch on a random weekday last week, hoping for a new lunch spot as many others have stopped doing the Indian weekday buffets. All in all, it was ok and a solid 3 to 3.5 in my book. This is an old diner they converted to an Indian place. Not much has gone into the ambiance/seating area and it shows. Definitely one of the low points for me. The service was solid, though for a buffet there is not much needed. The one waiter was quick and gave me my utensils and drink immediately though a few extra napkins would have been nice. The mid tier is more a reflection of the food. I've eaten at over 50 Indian spots in CT over the years and the options here were one of the most extensive I've seen on any buffet. However, quantity does not equate to quality and the flavor didn't meet the number of options provided. I took a mix of many dishes and they have good meat and vegetarian options. For me, the curries/sauces didn't have the depth of flavor I'm used to with Indian cooking. The dosa was solid if a bit limp though the potato vegetable was a bit sparse. The sambal was solid in my book as were some of the chutneys. All in all, for $15, this is a solid lunch option but not one I'm going to push people to try. It's worth a stop if you're in the area but not one I'd go out of my way to try. I'll give it another go to see if my experience was a one off on the flavor end. I'll update when I do. read more

I especially love that you're one of the few remaining Indian restaurants still offering a weekday buffet--it's such a treat for customers. You can be pretty sure you are getting authentic Indian food when you are the only non-Indian in the restaurant! We decided to try the buffet so we could sample many different Indian dishes and we were not disappointed. We took my 99 year old mother-in-law and it was her first time eating Indian food. She likes spicy food and she actually had two plates (the first was just a sampling of the different dishes so she could go back for what she liked the most). Buffet is Back! It is so rare to find an Indian lunch buffet, but Abhiruchi has done it! The best chicken tikka masala in the Hartford area (so good, I had to buy a second meal before I left). Some of the dishes seemed over done, but the flavors were great. Self-service of course and friendly owner who engaged in a pleasant conversation.
