    Beef and vegetables
    Ana B.

My friend and I went for dinner at Ming Moon. It is very small inside with just a few tables. We placed our order at the counter and sat down. We got an egg drop soup, beef and vegetables and shrimp and vegetables. We also got Diet Cokes each. Right when we opened our cokes, the lady asked if we'd like to take our food to go or stay. We were already sitting when she asked this. I told her we'd like to stay. She then asked again, if we'd like to stay or go. Obviously she didn't want us to stay, so as soon as our food was ready we left. How rude? We ate at a bench nearby. The container of egg drop soup was huge. It was warm and tasty. My friend had the shrimp and vegetables and I had the beef and vegetables. It was very good, the beef was tender and juicy, as were the vegetables. Despite the food being really good, I cannot recommend going here because of the rude lady who didn't want us dining inside.

This was a very quick snack while out and about. I only ordered spring rolls. They were quick, crisp, and fresh. I would try more from this business. With mustard they were a great way to keep my day going. I only took a little off the review because I wish they had a tad more saltiness/flavor. I understand everyone has dietary constraints so soy sauce may be the best option for most

Food is good and fresh but the serving size has diminished, probably due to inflation

Love this Chinese food. So happy they have reopened. We had several different orders and everyone was delighted, even the "picky" eaters.

Consistent, flavorful, and good portion sizes. Went for lunch and the service was pretty quick,…read morethough we went right at opening so they were still in the process of starting their day. Lunch specials are smaller portion, but good for the price (raised to $12.95 now since my last menu photo) We split a lot of dishes because we couldn't decide: Wonton soup appetizer {4.5/5}: Loved how delicate the wontons were and the clear broth was great for a cold day. Tad too salty though. Lunch special --Braised pork belly {3/5}: Very tender, but kind of monotone in flavor. Very filling! Lunch special --Hot and sour gizzards {4.5/5}: This might freak people out in terms of texture, but I LOVE this texture. Good chew and pops of heat from the peppers and acid from the pickled green beans Lunch special --Cumin dish lamb {3/5}: kind of chewy and not as much flavor as I wished, but not bad! Chicken wings {3/5}: Crunchyyyy. Battered wings, not as much flavor as their chongqing chicken which I prefer, but not bad

Really good sichuan food, giant portions, authentic…read more Been meaning to swing by this place. Often cited as one of the best sichuan places around, had to make the trek to see. Outside is very much a busy shopping plaza in not the best part of town. Inside is a completely different story. Very clean and spacious, lots of booths and tables. Decorated well and a lot to see. The staff were friendly but there was a slight language barrier. We fumbled through the menu and found some bites to try. Food came out relatively quick, and that was a bit to manage because there were a lot of plates brought rather quickly. We got pics and dug in. The bites were flavored well. Nothing felt too greasy or under seasoned. The white pepper chicken was very crispy. But not a lot of chicken on each bite. The sweet and sour soup was both sweet and sour, but balanced enough that you could keep on eating it. The dumplings were fresh noodles and the filling was spiced well. The only flop was the spare ribs. Really tasty sauce, but very little meat on the bone. Had to suck on the bones to scrape enough meat off to make it a proper appetizer. It tasted good, just was not easy to eat. Price for the area was high for the neighborhood. It's got the quality and the flavor to command that price easily, but it doesn't match the stores. It's really good, but know that you're getting the real deal sichuan experience. Expect some heat, some saucy fingers, and some bones, and you'll get some really good bites

As many other reviews have attested, the hot and sour soup is excellent (good mix of mushrooms and tofu), and I enjoyed the sa cha chicken + tangerine beef too. Service was fast (in and out in 45 min) and the host / staff were friendly. On our way out (dining room still bustling at 3 pm!), an arriving couple commented that they'd driven up from North Haven specifically for the soup, and I could see why they'd make the trip. I will definitely visit again as well!

There is no better place that I'm aware of in the Hartford County area and probably farther but I have to be honest GREAT TASTE is so good I don't venture to far cuz its usually greasy and disappointing, They know my name and welcome me not because they ask for it when you call but because I've been a fan for so long. They know my face and are genuinely happy to see me. I do feel like I'm restaurant family. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is awesome whether eating in or taking out. The menu selections cover everyone's tastes and you will find your favorite dish listed. The Tangerine Beef and Garlic Shrimp are out of this world good! Number ONE #1 hands down!!! I was at…read morea Chinese restaurant with my boss in the 90's and he said "one of the best things you can order in a Chinese restaurant is their special noodle soups with pork, wontons and vegetables." I think about that conversation at least a few times every year when I struggle to decide what I want at a Chinese restaurant. "I had General Tso's chicken recently. Same with Hunan Beef and Twice Cooked Pork. I should go with the . . . Special Soup." Sometimes this soup is actually on the menu, which it is at East Meets West. But even if it's not on a menu, it's a popular off menu item that Chinese restaurants will often make if you request. This was my first time ordering takeout or otherwise from East Meets West and that Chinatown Style Noodle Soup with roast pork and wontons was really speaking to me on this snowy day. It's very good comfort food. The highlights were the chicken wontons (it was almost like a chicken sausage) and the noodles. The broth was fairly standard, but satisfying. The roast pork was good, but not in my top tier for this style of soup. In any event, I was happy with this order. I also ordered a 4 piece Crab Rangoon. The filling was very smooth, and had a sweet and good oniony flavor. I prefer a flakier shell, but it was pretty good. I would definitely order the Crab Rangoon again. 3.5 Stars
