Beef and vegetables
Ana B.

My friend and I went for dinner at Ming Moon. It is very small inside with just a few tables. We placed our order at the counter and sat down. We got an egg drop soup, beef and vegetables and shrimp and vegetables. We also got Diet Cokes each. Right when we opened our cokes, the lady asked if we'd like to take our food to go or stay. We were already sitting when she asked this. I told her we'd like to stay. She then asked again, if we'd like to stay or go. Obviously she didn't want us to stay, so as soon as our food was ready we left. How rude? We ate at a bench nearby. The container of egg drop soup was huge. It was warm and tasty. My friend had the shrimp and vegetables and I had the beef and vegetables. It was very good, the beef was tender and juicy, as were the vegetables. Despite the food being really good, I cannot recommend going here because of the rude lady who didn't want us dining inside.

This was a very quick snack while out and about. I only ordered spring rolls. They were quick, crisp, and fresh. I would try more from this business. With mustard they were a great way to keep my day going. I only took a little off the review because I wish they had a tad more saltiness/flavor. I understand everyone has dietary constraints so soy sauce may be the best option for most

Lo mein

My husband tried this chicken lo mein and he liked the heat and he added some extra pork. The Noodles was cooked well.Looking forward to trying more in the future.

Love this Chinese food. So happy they have reopened. We had several different orders and everyone was delighted, even the "picky" eaters.

Average at best. Would not go very far to get this Chinese food. The General Tso's was just edible.

Outside is very much a busy shopping plaza in not the best part of town. Inside is a completely different story. Very clean and spacious, lots of booths and tables. Decorated well and a lot to see. The staff were friendly but there was a slight language barrier. We fumbled through the menu and found some bites to try. Food came out relatively quick, and that was a bit to manage because there were a lot of plates brought rather quickly. We got pics and dug in. The bites were flavored well. Nothing felt too greasy or under seasoned. The white pepper chicken was very crispy. But not a lot of chicken on each bite. The sweet and sour soup was both sweet and sour, but balanced enough that you could keep on eating it. The dumplings were fresh noodles and the filling was spiced well. The only flop was the spare ribs. Really tasty sauce, but very little meat on the bone. Had to suck on the bones to scrape enough meat off to make it a proper appetizer. It tasted good, just was not easy to eat. Price for the area was high for the neighborhood. It's got the quality and the flavor to command that price easily, but it doesn't match the stores. It's really good, but know that you're getting the real deal sichuan experience. Expect some heat, some saucy fingers, and some bones, and you'll get some really good bites

GREAT TEAST is the BEST restaurant that offers Chinese Food. I've been a fan of this restaurant…read moresince the late 80's. There is no better place that I'm aware of in the Hartford County area and probably farther but I have to be honest GREAT TASTE is so good I don't venture to far cuz its usually greasy and disappointing, They know my name and welcome me not because they ask for it when you call but because I've been a fan for so long. They know my face and are genuinely happy to see me. I do feel like I'm restaurant family. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is awesome whether eating in or taking out. The menu selections cover everyone's tastes and you will find your favorite dish listed. The Tangerine Beef and Garlic Shrimp are out of this world good! Number ONE #1 hands down!!! My husband got Lemon Chicken. He said it was tasty, but overcooked/tough. Also, they hardly put any lemon sauce on the chicken. He had to ask for more sauce. I got the Kung Pao Chicken. It didn't have much flavor and even less sauce. It had so much cut up celery, that that was the predominant flavor. I would have given this a 3 star rating, if the prices were not so exorbitantly expensive. The Kung Pao Chicken (at lunch on a Saturday) was $17.99. Every other Chinese restaurant I've eaten at charges $11.00 at the very most for the exact same dish, with a larger portion of rice. We were both very disappointed.

I can remember certain food conversations from over 25 years ago like they were yesterday. I was at…read morea Chinese restaurant with my boss in the 90's and he said "one of the best things you can order in a Chinese restaurant is their special noodle soups with pork, wontons and vegetables." I think about that conversation at least a few times every year when I struggle to decide what I want at a Chinese restaurant. "I had General Tso's chicken recently. Same with Hunan Beef and Twice Cooked Pork. I should go with the . . . Special Soup." Sometimes this soup is actually on the menu, which it is at East Meets West. But even if it's not on a menu, it's a popular off menu item that Chinese restaurants will often make if you request. This was my first time ordering takeout or otherwise from East Meets West and that Chinatown Style Noodle Soup with roast pork and wontons was really speaking to me on this snowy day. It's very good comfort food. The highlights were the chicken wontons (it was almost like a chicken sausage) and the noodles. The broth was fairly standard, but satisfying. The roast pork was good, but not in my top tier for this style of soup. In any event, I was happy with this order. I also ordered a 4 piece Crab Rangoon. The filling was very smooth, and had a sweet and good oniony flavor. I prefer a flakier shell, but it was pretty good. I would definitely order the Crab Rangoon again. 3.5 Stars

Ordered the same thing as they are our favorite Chinese food. Worst than our first experience. Even tried to air fry to get the grease out but no luck. Don't know how they stay in business
