Sweet and Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich

We make a point to grab sandwiches from Impeckable Chicken whenever we spot them nearby - they're just that good. I can't believe it's taken me this long to leave a review. These are easily some of the thickest chicken sandwiches you'll come across. Perfectly breaded, served piping hot on a toasted bun, and paired with a small side of fries - they really deliver on both quality and portion size. The sandwiches are deliciously messy (in the best way), so I definitely appreciate how well they're wrapped. Tonight, we tried the Sweet n' Spicy and the Chili Crisp sandwiches, and both absolutely hit the spot. Great flavor, great texture, and super satisfying. The only small hiccup this time was that our fries were missing the complimentary dipping sauces, which we were a little bummed about -- that's the only reason for the 4-star rating on this visit. Still, we're already looking forward to the next time we catch them out and about.

This is both my husband and I's favorite chicken sandwich and is in our usual rotation when we're hungry! I think they have 3 food trucks and their newest spot is in the new development in MLT right outside of a new bar/bottle shop. We took advantage of this and stopped by to pick up some drinks to go with our sandwiches this time. My go-to sandwich is the sweet and spicy which definitely has a kick! I need the ranch on the side so cool it down haha. The chicken is a huge, juicy piece of meat that's somehow still super crunchy even despite the sauce it's tossed in. The fries are also top tier and they have a variety of dipping sauces to choose from. Friendly service and pretty quick. They give you a buzzer so you can go explore the area and come back when it's ready. Give them a try!

Per multiple sources, Impeckable Chicken serves some of the best fried chicken sandwiches in the city. I decided to visit this food truck empire (at least 3 different trucks on all days of the week), specifically the location normally found on Stewart St, for a weekday lunch. This was a bit past 11 and there was no one else around, making me the first order of the day. I believe everything is made fresh and it took around 5 minutes for my sandwich. Since this is a food truck, there isn't any seating - seems like most people who order from the truck work nearby and just bring it back to the office. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people, but luckily I found some red benches around the corner to enjoy my food. Impeckable Chicken Sandwich ($15.99) - The chicken is seasoned well but has a bit of fryer oil taste, but it doesn't detract from the overall flavor. It has a superb breading which looks to be AP based, very evenly applied, crackly and crunchy. The interior is tender and juicy thigh meat. The cook is very even on the chicken, so everything is the same flavor and texture. In terms of condiments, they keep it simple with pickle, mayo, and lettuce. I think they might put a bit too much mayo because a lot of it drops out while eating, creating kind of a puddle. Everything is on a buttery toasted bun. The sandwich comes with small side of fries. These are normal commercial battered fries, but fried well, making them crisp, hot and tender on the inside. The meal also comes with a dipping sauce, of which I went with the Garlic Parm. It's thick like mayo with decent garlic flavor. Honestly I think I'd rather have just dipped the fries in ketchup though! All the food is served in a paper tray, so it's not very convenient to carry around while looking for seating or going back to the office. I found the sandwich to be very good, living up to all of the high ratings. I started with the original; next time I will definitely get one of the more deluxe ones, probably starting with the Chili Crisp Sandwich!

WOW!!! This place does not disappoint! I've been here multiple times and it has never disappointed. Always fresh and mouth watering deliciousness. It's juicy and the right amount of crispiness. I love a good fried chicken and when I have a craving for it, this is the place I would hit up for lunch. Oh and the fries is a winner too, slightly seasoned and fried to a crisp that comes with a choice of sauce. Today I tried the honey mustard and that was delish! I highly recommend if you've never been! Can't wait to come back again

I've come to Impeckable chicken a couple times now at their food truck location in Tacoma! Originally tried their regular chicken sandwich to get a baseline for their food. The chicken is super tender, flavorful, and crispy! It was probably one of the better chicken sandwiches I've had in awhile. Their fries are also super yummy. Next time around I tried the chili oil and sweet & spicy sandwiches and YUM! Both had different flavors and spice levels. I appreciated that they put lettuce on the original, shreds cabbage on the sweet & spicy, and cole slaw on the chili oil. The variation makes for a different experience while eating each different sandwich! Definitely one of my favorite food trucks around, and I'm so glad that they have a location out in Tacoma!

I got the classic impeckable chicken sandwich. The chicken is tender and juicy, while the outside is nice and crispy and achieved what every chicken sandwich aspires to be. The fries are rich in flavor and not dry/grainy. While I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich, I would only come once in a blue moon because of the price. Otherwise, it was an incredible meal to try once!

Got a chance to come back to Seattle and of course I needed to stop by Impeckable Chicken again - lines were long still but they move fast. I got the sweet & spicy sandwich this time and while the flavor was great, it definitely was a bit less crispy than the normal unsauced sandwich. I ate it immediately after getting it and it was still soft, so I think the sauced chicken does sit in the sauce for a bit before being served. Would still recommend it since it was delicious and mango habanero always hits, but if you're looking for a classic crispy sandwich you should try the original first.

I discovered the Impeckable Chicken food truck as it was parked outside of Bellevue City Hall one Thursday and figured it must be good, given the line of people. I mean, who doesn't love a fried chicken sandwich? The menu is straightforward, with a handful of different chicken sandwiches, and all of them include fries and choice of sauce with. Some a la carte items included popcorn chicken, broccoli salad, etc. But the chicken sandwich with fries seems to be the popular, go-to item. Unfortunately, by the time I was up to order, they ran out of the deluxe fried chicken sandwich, which was the fried chicken sandwich with bacon, lettuce, and pimento cheese. So instead, I ordered the classic fried chicken sandwich, which included a fried chicken thigh, pickles, lettuce and house mayo. Overall, the meal was solid. The chicken sandwich was tender and juicy, and much larger than expected. I definitely was in a food coma afterwards. The fries were double dipped, which I enjoyed, but definitely was heavy, especially with the fried chicken sammy. I can see why people wait in line for Impeckable Chicken. I'm glad I was able to check it out.

Food is great quality and tastes amazing! I always make sure to get a sandwich and fries. Today I got the popcorn chicken and they threw in some fries because I was their last customer for the day! Not just great food, great people!

Love the popcorn chicken. Lightly breaded and super tasty. Have had this two times - once at Ravenna and then at Postdoc Kenmore.

I've never seen such a fast turnaround for the quality of fried chicken. The bun toasty, a tad sweet, the chicken crispy, the fries soft on the inside, flaky on the outside. I do wish there was more sauce or flavor to the sandwich--the white sauce it came with was neutral. From a lover of fried chicken sandwiches, this was pretty fire.

I've had sandwiches, bowls, tenders, thighs and drums. They're all good. The sandwiches are the high point in my opinion - particular shoutout to the Slawsome and Hot Honey. They're big and messy but tasty. Can't go wrong with them, and I frequently can't help but order one. The bowls are powerful. I've had both kinds on different trips and they're hard to do in a single sitting, whereas sandwich + side is not. Just be warned. The sides are straightforward - what you see is what you get. They tend to be a little more basic, or classic if you will, than the sandwiches. I like this, since they serve as a side/counterpoint. We tend to get the slaw and pot of gold. The fries are the battered style which are very good and combo well with the rest of the menu. Takeout times tend to be accurate and the staff have been working hard but helpful every time we stop in. Most importantly they've been consistently good every time we go - and often during peak busy times, so that speaks well of their kitchen staff. Top marks all around. The move to the new spot didn't slow them down a bit, so make sure you check the address before going if you haven't been in a few months.

We had visited the Ballard location before they had moved to their new home. Stopped by the new location a few weeks ago. The new location is definitely in the sketchy part of Ballard, but it was nice to have a designated parking lot, rather than trying to find a street spot at the old location! My husband and I both ordered 3 tendies, in cayenne heat (level 2 spicy). Didn't seem spicy enough for my liking, so next time I am going to try the level 3! The chicken is delicious! It's crispy, juicy and flavorful. They offer a lot of sauces to choose from too. Although if you ask me, if you order any spicy level, the chicken doesn't need it! My husband is a dipper though and he likes his sauce. His fave is the Honey Mustard. (I opted for a garlic aioli. I love garlic but it was a little much). Since I was feeling like a comfort side, I selected the potatoes and gravy. (I have also had the fries and the macaroni and cheese). They have a good selection of sides. We love Cookie's chicken!

The first and most obvious thing about the chicken was that it was spicy. Like really spicy. That has to be the spiciest chicken I've ever had and it's not close. I was still able to finish both tenders without adding any extra sauce (the waffles helped) but my mouth was on fire at the end - I had to get in some ice cream While normally I like spicy food - I can't say I liked this spice as much because it seemed more like spice caked on to the breading as the seasoning itself - kind of like the only point of the breading was to be spicy. I didn't taste many other flavors in there. This made the eating experience of the chicken not super enjoyable as I didn't really enjoy each bite as much as I was just getting through it To add to this, the breading was nice and crispy, but it didn't attach to the chicken as well as I would like. It frequently peeled off the meat itself. It also didn't quite have the oily texture of good fried chicken - was a bit dry As far as the meat itself - I thought it was fine - nothing special but also nothing too bad. The thing that I really liked was the portion sizes of the chicken. While it wasn't super easy to get through, I did like the fact that the chicken filled me up I really appreciated the spice level in the chicken - but wish the breading was better and had more different flavors Get this if you're really craving spicy food The second part of this meal were the waffles - which were astoundingly good The waffle was soft but had real weight to it - each bite had a depth of dough that was fantastic In addition, the whiskey butter and maple syrup made the entire thing a truly amazing sweet experience It complimented the chicken so well - adding an excellent side flavor to each bite The way I would eat this is by cutting a piece of the waffle off, and either putting it in my mouth and taking a bite of the chicken or combining pieces of both onto a fork and eating it that way. The waffle's sweetness made the chicken tenders tolerable and significantly improved the overall experience

They have a super affordable meal deal on the app and their combos are also affordable. We ordered on a kiosk but you could order through a cashier if you wanted. I went with their bowl combo while my boyfriend got their tacos combo as well as an order of their chicken tortilla soup and a free chicken avocado taco. I tried to order on their app but not sure if there was just an error but they were also extremely busy from when we arrived and it did take some time to receive our food. Despite how busy the employees were, they never forgot to be courteous and kept a positive attitude. Also, on the app, they don't have horchata but next to the fountain drinks, there is a horchata dispenser. The horchata is very refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness for me. When we did receive our food, it smelled amazing. My avocado chicken taco was on the colder side but not sure if that is how it is supposed to come out like that or hotter. It was still good though! The soup was comforting and absolutely my favorite and the craziest thing is I don't care for Applebee's chicken tortilla soup this was way better in terms of flavor, presentation and quality. My boyfriend really loved his tacos and I loved my bowl, I could barely eat half of it because it was stuffed! We did ask for all three salsas but when we asked for more, they gave us the same one so not sure if they ran out or just so busy that they just gave us whatever.
