I locked myself out of my apartment... again. And this time with the spare I usually keep at my sister's place locked up inside from the last lockout two weeks prior. Working with iLockSmith was a pleasant experience all around. I asked for a quote here on Yelp and they replied almost instantly with a competitive quote. I went with iLocksmithSF because their rates were good, they could come immediately, and they have great reviews here. Miguel came right on time and was very friendly, giving us good advice on the doors and locks in our new condo. He finished the job promptly and even threw in a little bit of extra elbow grease to make sure one of our deadbolts would properly lock. Only recommendation for them as a business is to just publish your rates online and allow us to book online. This would streamline the entire process. This was easily the most pleasant experience I've ever had with a locksmith. After placing my call at 4:30pm on a holiday Friday, Miguel shows up and worked his magic on our front door deadlock (which had decided to just stop working). Within two minutes of Miguel looking at the door, he was able to diagnose the problem (the bolt was hitting the plate so it couldn't slid out) which he quickly fixed! He also took a few minutes to adjust the plate on the door jam for the doorknob - so now we no longer have to slam the door just to get the door to actually close. He was quick, thorough, competent, and friendly; and the bill was super reasonable. I figured for a Friday evening, after he spent an hour in traffic, it would be twice as much as he charged. It was locked because a meat thermometer got angled wrong and was propped up against the top of the drawer with only an extremely small opening available to work with.
