Can't get a better experience with any other locksmith. Earl was quickly responsive to my call and had an idea of what was wrong before he even took a look at our frontdoor handleset. Part of our trouble was having keys that were cut that were not exact enough to fit the lock properly, causing us to have to wiggle and jiggle the keys to get our key in AND out of the lock. As he opened up the lock he found part of a key that had broken inside, still stuck there. It was from one of the keys that didn't fit right. He cleaned and lubricated the lock, and showed me how to lubricate it myself every 6 months. Ours is an old, expensive lock that apparently has a lifetime guarantee on parts. I was so frustrated with it that I wanted to get rid of it. Earl convinced me to let him try to make it easy to use again and avoid spending a bunch of money to get a new door and lock. He also told me he wouldn't take any payment so I could see if I was happy with the lock after he worked with it, then I could decide what I wanted to do. If I still didn't want the lock, he knows someone who could put the new door and lock in. I ended up getting 6 new keys, all of them wider than normal to make it easy on the thumbs to open the lock. He even had 2 keys that are super wide, like hotel keys, and he made 2 of them so it is extremely easy for my achy fingers to open the door now. I insisted on paying him, but he only charged us for the service call and work performed, not for the keys, which was a very kind gesture. He's not out to gouge or upsell anything, only to help you get what you need. Its a no-brainer to give him a call if you need a locksmith! read more

He arrived quickly and got the job done and took the time for a short chat and looked around and gave me some safety tips concerning sliding glass doors. Earl is the kind guy that if he shows up on time he considers that he is late. Sure enough he was 15 minutes early. The first trip was to see if he could fix it without ordering any parts. Earl is the man!!! If you need a professional locksmith who is experienced, fast, friendly, and NOT out to rip you off, then this is the locksmith to call. I've never needed a locksmith for anything before, so locks, keys, choosing a new door lock, etc, is all new to me. I literally don't have a clue what I'm doing. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who will see someone like me (who knows nothing about locks) and rip me off. They would tell me I need a new flux capacitor and that my ball bearings need a new frappy dappus and I would probably go, "Okay, I guess if that's what you think it needs". How am I supposed to know? BUT.....here is where Earl is awesome!!! He easily could have taken me for more money. He could have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge on door locks. BUT HE DID NOT! Instead, he asked me to text him some pictures of my front door lock so that he could see what I have. What I learned from him is that my front door lock is perfectly fine. I did not need to replace the whole unit, I just needed to have it re-keyed. That saved me a few hundred dollars!! Earl arrived on-time as promised, and he charged the fee he promised (which was very reasonable). A few minutes after he arrived, he was done! I couldn't believe it. He worked FAST, but everything was done very well. He gave me the new keys and had me try them on the three new locks to make sure everything worked well----and it did!
